- 212 Ghost racing engine VS 212 Predator
Did a top speed run and 0 to 30 test with the Predator 212 powered Azusa Minibike to get a baseline with the 212 Predator. Installed a Predator Ghost engine with a Billet flywheel and did the same test to compare the difference.

At age 68 I impulse bought a Baja mini. It sat for months but once I saw your videos I started tinkering,,,Im up from 19 to 38.7 MPH and having a ball. Friends & family think Im nuts but I feel like Im back in 5th grade!! Keep on posting,,,your videos are the best!!
Ah, thanks! That is awesome you are having fun! That's what it's all about for me.
I'm 74 and back in 1950's our 3 HP Briggs&Stratton minibike did 35 and 4 HP did 45... so these speeds seem low for 6 1/2 - 11 HP...
Last minibike in 1968 had 350cc 2 cylinder 2 cycle 4 gears motorcycle engine...
@@BuzzLOLOL We used to run 3.5 Briggs back in the 1980's . It used to take forever to get to 35 MPH with a 3.5 horse.. The bikes these days get to top speed in a couple of seconds. Makes it more fun in my opinion.
@@Black66 - Our minibikes were light, home brewed from electrical conduit. We had a minibike with 2 1/2 HP Tecumseh engine and a jackshaft for hill climbing power. It would go about 32 but was twisting 8,000+ RPMs... we had trouble keeping connecting rods in that engine... it was stock but seemed cammed up higher than the Briggs... torque was kind of flat until it got up to about 3,000 RPMs...
The 350cc minibike was really quick... throttle wheelies in first couple gears... and there's something about the stereo sound of dual exhausts on a minibike, one high muffler on each side... scrambler style for ground clearance... and the sensation of unlimited power...
I'm , 30 and got out my old go kart from when I was a kid I got in 1998 when I was 6 it's a full size single bench seat go kart it's called fun power brush and Stratton motor in it 8 hp motor I took original motor off cause it's mint condition and worth lots of money this cart is with all original parts decals on floor board ect so I bought the 670cc v twin 22hp motor for it custom made rear bolt on plates for motor added about 200 lbs of lead weight blocks from my stack I use on asphalt circle track racecars for adding weight in places to be legal and get weights right on scales. Finally! Been waiting for someone to make this comparison video
thank you so much for making this video!, i love comparison videos like this one
Thanks for the video, I like the vintage look on that minibike absolutely my favorite out all of the bikes on your fleet. Can’t wait see what it does with heavier valve springs, I also heard it float at high revs.
Ive been waiting on you to make this video thanks
I’ve been waiting for this video, I recently just bought one.
It's awesome to see you still have the best fun on the minibikes i have a little fat tyre and i will get it going with the V2 big block hope it will work
Another AWESOME video man!!
Man this is awesome!! I love your channel, it taught me few things about small engines. I'm local to you, so it makes it even better 👍
Thanks! Thanks for watching the videos! Awesome area!
@@Black66 absolutely! I've been wanting to mod my mini bike, but I wasn't too sure on how small engines operated oppose to regular car/truck engines. But I found your channel and you make everything look so easy. Thank you agian for making this channel. It's freaking awesome 👍
My eye was twitching till you straightened out the sticker 😂
Thanks for the video Black 66👍
Real nice i enjoyed watching definitely improved
Great video! You make it look so easy :)
Ghost 212 gets a 24MM NIBBI carburetor and speed test czcams.com/video/khVcXmuYy6g/video.html
thanks for the video, look forward to a juggernaut or torkzilla on one or maybe some other torque converter setup.
Thank you , Really getting it
I love❤your channel you give new life from old school to new school 🎉😊
Wow, This takes me back to growing up in the suburbs of Detroit, mi. I had a rutman minibike. I currently have a mini bike from farm and fleet engine is to small going to change it out to a predator hemi.
You earned a SUB! This dude cool and look at his front yard !
Thank you. Good stuff. 🏍🔥👍👍😎
What's next? A hula hoop? A pogo stick? Going to the Disco? Can't turn back the clock people.
Nice ! One tooth up in front and tighter spring on clutch for little more start rpm bet it be perfect good vid
Did you put that seat cover on? Looks great
@black66 - I have a MB200 Coleman and I am running a
212 Ghost
Go power sports 26mm Mikuni
Go Power sports torque converter w/ juggernaut/10T
420 chain
My question is, what sprocket should I run on the rear tire to gain more top speed?
Also if I buy a stage 2 ghost performance kit what do you think would be best to run it at?
Sir I have a question I hope you can help me with it. I just got my Coleman B200 and my front wheel wobble. “ very bad” I need advice on where can I get an aluminum wheels. I saw some of your videos where your other mini bike has aluminum wheels on it. Where to buy them? Thanks and have a great day!
looks like a pretty neat engine
I'm thinking of putting one of these in a Polaris Trail Boss that has a bad engine. Would this be a decent idea?
Do you know the difference between the speed karts flywheel and arc flywheel? The fins are different shapes, just curious if it makes any kind of difference on anything. Thanks
Yes I do. That video comes out on Saturday.
GREAT CONTENT 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
@black66 what air filter did u use
I’ve been wondering what’s the foam cover on your intake?
Is the Ghost accessory kit compatible with the stock predator 212?
So I appreciate your videos. Always fun to watch. My question is wouldn’t a tilly 212 with a stage one and the governor removed be a better all around engine ?? Asking for a friend. Lol.
I have a tilly 212RE with a stage 1 on a mb200-2 an a juggernaut I’m not sure on my gearing but I’m doing 52 full throttle
excellent content! enjoy watching your videos! im also local to K-town. would you have an extra ct100 rear wheel to sell? i am needing one for one of my dirt bug projects! cheers!
Thanks! No, I don't have an extra wheel right now.
Thanks for watching the videos!
I ride over a deep rain hole on the road the other day, and snapped the bottoms neck of the frame….. what’s the best way to fix it ? Just weld it back or cut and make it a v frame going up to the neck ?
What size (diameter) wheels on that minibike your testing?

fun video! thanks!
Thanks! Check out the Ghost plalylist for more videos on this bike.czcams.com/video/ONJbFaEecQM/video.html
My friend had a bright 5hp on a similar mini bike in the 70s that would whip up on all the Honda 70s best run was 52 mph. It was a fast mini bike.
Took a 1/4 mile to get there. Either or with these things, can’t be quick and fast with limited displacement.
Really cool video and nice to see how the upgrades worked. The two things that I would try to improve acceleration would be tighten up the clutch so it revs higher at takeoff and try to use a smaller rear sprocket to get the top speed. I would also love to see what difference a good carburetor would make like a nice Keihin. Maybe a cheap wideband to tune it in or old school just read the plug ;)
Thanks! I'm always messing with different combos. Have you checked out the other bikes on the channel? Here is one of them. czcams.com/video/xV8i59aGUao/video.html
or putting a Juggernaut torque converter vs clutch
.
@@rogeryoung4515 I guess that just about says it all... Lol
Thanks Black66! Hey I was wondering where you got your fuel tank. I got a ghost the other day with the Memorial Day coupon and I wanna possibly mount it on my ct100u
I got this one from a seller on ebay. They have a similar one on the GoPowerSports web site.
@@Black66 awesome! Thank you brother much appreciated!
What about a 2 coil charging ststem. Would the billet flywheel accomada 12:46 te it? Good 411 Thanks. 66
Hey if you remove the filter and tank ,muffler would a predator 301cc fit on a DOODLEBUG frame without modification
I’m building a mini bike and I’m having trouble getting the shaft bolt off my 212cc ghost. Is there a certain way to get it off? Or do you use a impact drill like in 2:10? @Black66
Either you use an impact or you get a wrench and you hit it with a hammer so it doesn’t turn the engine over
Allsome work from cruzermans inventions 😁🎉👍🌟🎉
I'm a gy6 guy, but these Ghosts seem pretty neat.
by the way i’ve been looking into removing the internal governor gear in my tilly, what size nuts and bolts did you put in the tilly?
Biggins!!!
The diameter of a hole is 80% of the tap's size. Use fine thread bolts and locktite to seal
What's the cost difference is it heavier and how comfortable is it ergonomically
Why didn't you install all of the accessories kit??
Sweet video! That chain guard is awesome. What's the source?
Not certain but it may be from go power sports
I'm reading the commentary and the majority of people here exactly in my age group. Basically reminiscing about when they had one. I still don't see the point of getting one as an adult when there was so many other options.
I wonder how tall a gear the Ghost would have pulled with it's stock ignition? It reached the limiter pretty quick, it's probably got more top speed in it.
What was your top speed ? Should be 60 or more stock
Do you need a billet fly wheel? Can I just put a stock coil on
How tall are those bars ?
any benefits to gapping the coil to .060?
That little thing fast ...good video
Thanks! Check out this one czcams.com/video/xV8i59aGUao/video.html
I know this was a year ago but what clutch are you using? Also have you or anyone done a hime vs non hime out of the box? Thanks
Its been a long time but I do remember mentioning what clutch I was using at the time in the Ghost videos because I was comparing the Ghost to The Predator 212.
Hi I'm Ricky from Bloomsburg pa I have a azusa minibike with a 212 hey what size are the ape handlebars and the measurements for your seat as soon as I saw how yours looked I had to have one thank you so much
Thanks! The ape hangers are about 26 inches wide at the end of the handle grips and 13 inches tall. The seat is 14 inches long.
Did you run the Predator with that flywheel? Cool video btw
Thanks, here is more of an even Predator VS Ghost video. Also check out the Ghost playlist. Thanks for watching! czcams.com/video/1jZ9Kb1sclE/video.html
Great video , she rips !
Man! I love the look of that gas tank! I want me one of those mounts and tanks for my mini
Thanks! I have a video coming out for the tank mounts on Wednesday.
@@Black66 awesome! You make them? Or something you order?
@@predator_boiz336 I make them . I show it in the video . Just a simple mount
@@Black66 awesome! Haven’t seen a video on breaks yet, any good aftermarket shoes you recommend? Or pretty much just whatever you can find works?
@@predator_boiz336 If you run through the playlist we do quite a few brake swaps
Look a mini bike ! Wow i went out and got a new one from my local bicycle store when I was 12 years old. No suspension only one break with that little lawn mower engine. I remember it well. Then a couple of years later when I outgrew it I sold it to a friend and purchased my first Honda 400 Hawk. As the years progressed as I became more confident in my driving ability I increased to 750 class and so on. I honestly don't understand what the purpose owning a mini bike even if it goes 200 miles an hour. Once you reach a certain age. You can't go on the highway with it, it's not a dirt bike, it's extremely Limited to where you can drive it. You can't get a license for it, you can't get it insured. I don't know call me crazy.
We can register minibikes in AZ . Many are street legal here. I have. Video coming soon on registering a minibike .
They are much less expensive than motorcycles and are just as much fun. It's also fun being able to work on them and modify them myself unlike many motorcycles. Also most of the community of people around the minibike and kart hobby are very nice people.
Hey u still live in kingman?
Stock coil.? Isn't the one your replacing also stock? If so then r u saying that regular 212s are not rev limited
Have the ghost installed with billet flywheel , changed the coil , can't get b212 to do more than 38.4 mph , why wont it go faster ... also I have juggernaut , am I doing something wrong
Hi Ricky sr are there any forks that will fit in a azusa frame without modification
GoPowerSports has a Universal Minibike Suspension Kit, Complete Front Fork Assembly that might go on there. www.gopowersports.com/minibike-suspension-kit-complete-front-fork-assembly-universal/
what's the app you are using called to measure 0-30mph?
I use digiHUD on the phone along with the camera GPS for top speed and a Dragy performance meter for 0 to 30
Where did you get the clutch cover ?
Ebay
I was wondering if you put heavier valve spring in any of your builds. Just put a mikuni carb and header pipe on a Coleman ct200 and at higher speeds the valves sound like they are lifting. But yours don’t seem to do that
Yes, quite a few builds on the channel have heavier springs.
What kind of lift is that and where did you purchase it from?
I would tell you if I knew. I got it used. Could be harbor freight, but I'm not sure. Thanks for watching the videos!
Subbed
Alright for the ghost engine
What kind of Greece is that you use to solder with??
Soldering flux
Try n find a 180cc volcano motor from an old banely mini bike has a lil 4 speed trans manual
What GPS app are you using?
I use digiHUD on the phone along with the camera GPS for top speed and a Dragy performance meter for 0 to 30
I put the ghost buster kit in and rod different carb. My ghost engine rips now pretty well.
I bet yours rips with that kit! Check out the ghost playlist. We have tried many different heads, carbs gearing etc on the ghost .
Thanks for watching! czcams.com/video/ONJbFaEecQM/video.html
What’s the app you used to tell the speed
I use digiHUD on the phone along with the camera GPS for top speed and a Dragy performance meter for 0 to 30
I need one of thoses bikes to start my youtube how much you charge i want one from you
Nice crank holding tool where can I find one thanks😊
Made it out of an old clutch
Can you make a fast cyclekart.
What length if your throttle cable for the ghost 212 engine?
I run 2 1/4 at the end of the cable.
Which is less work time?
B66 ................like the back looking camera !!!!
Which would be faster a built Tilly or a predator ghost? I’m looking to build
In my opinion the Tilly is a better buy because it is less expensive in the first place. The extra money can go towards mods. But either way they both are fun and that's what counts.
Was that a first pull start right out of the box?
Yes, right out of the box. New engine.
Where did you get the mounts for fuel cell?
I made them. I have a video coming out on it.
Thank you! Can't wait to see that' video
I was getting Valve float around 7k rpm with 12 tooth clutch and a 75 tooth rear I swapped my rear to a 70 tooth and I was getting Valve float around 6k rpm I changed my valve springs from 22# to 26# and am still getting Valve float at 6k rpm. If I run it without a load tire off the ground it will pull well above 8k rpm . Am I misunderstanding gear ratio and load ?
The valve train on a ghost is heavy.
remember me when you hit 1 mill
Why did he install the clutch backwards??
I don't know if I should just do a governor delet on the regular 212 or get the ghost, probably just get the regular 212 and pull the governor valve out would be the cheaper method and then adding aftermarket flywheel and parts.
czcams.com/video/1jZ9Kb1sclE/video.html
Just get the ghost the rev limit is 6500. His gear ratio was horrible. Stock Coleman ex 200 10F/50R 65 mph
This leaves me wondering what a stock 212cc predator with a bullet flywheel can do.
I have a video to answer that question coming out on Saturday
Do u sale them
Where could i get that clutch?
Volts minibikes web site has the Max-Torque clutch
Them banana pipes give me an extra boost.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
good 🙂👍puerto Rico.
🇵🇷🏆good work
BLACK, I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!, SO I PUT A GHOST ON B212, GPS Regular tank, black , and of course there is no vent like my tilloson tank, it leaks from top , can I vent it somehow so the gas doesn't come from top , or maybe just take the tillotson tank off and install on ghost, thanks man .. update. Thanks anyways black , got it fixed , used another top tank cap washer.
All that for 5 MPH gain? Take the stock 212, Billet Flywheel and see what the speed is. Put 91 or 93 Octane gas in.
The channel is about testing different combos . The results will vary from combo to combo and from bike to bike. It is fun finding out the results. Check out the playlist for more bikes and combos. Thanks for watching!
Anyone know where I can buy a prebuilt high power 212 predator engine at?
*That ships
GREAT video....why do you think they call it Ghost ?
Marketing test showed Spook wouldn’t appeal to the masses 👍😛
