I was at Walmart the other day, and I saw a NEW Ozark Trail Ridge!
It was a SMALL size frame, it had a Microshift Acolyte derailleur WITH CLUTCH, and a Microshift Advent shifter (a slightly odd combination).
I also saw a Schwinn Axum Comp (same one you found). I'm not a huge fan of the top tube shape, but otherwise I like it!
Props for trying on the ardor. I purchased an axum dp 2 weeks ago that was clearance for 199....then because derailleur hanger was broke, we got it down to ridiculous range.

You gotta give Buc-ees another chance. They are always busy because they are so awesome. But no matter how busy they are I’ve always found things I never knew I wanted and never waited in line to check out

The trick with those Axum Comps is that at first look, they seem expensive, but when I read the specs, it looks like they have a clutch derailleur a one by and the comp X has a dropper. Replace the brakes with Shimano MT 200s and put on an air fork and then compare that to say some of the Trek Marlins (which don’t even have tapered head tubes) and they look a lot more reasonable. About clearance: When I worked as a retail manager, we put things in clearance and marked them down every week until they sold. That Ardor will likely get cheaper.

Walmarts here in Miami are full of all kind of bikes .... even Ledges in both sizes of wheels and frames.
The ardor x1 is selling for 178 Canadian at Walmart in Edmonton
That sounds like a good deal to us. Just remember that the Ardor has a great frame, but pretty much everything else is not so good.
hey guys. I found something you should look into for a video. I just bought a Poseidon Norton frame an hour ago for only $299 shipped. I'm finally sadly getting rid of my GT Aggressor Pro frame (the frame is the only thing left of the bike, lol). It was good to me for 3yrs but it was time for an upgrade with a frame that had modern geometry and a tapered headtube. I should have the frame by hopefully the end of the week. I plan to take all the parts from my GT and putting them on the new frame. I did have to buy a different seatpost, a thru-axle rear wheel , a headset with the tapered to straight steerer crown race and a boost chainring for my GX crankset. Wish me luck on the build.
I need to look at the new Schwinn Axums. By the way, your negotiating skills are better than mine. You win.

I have the WORST Walmart (North Versailles) in Pa. It's ghetto AF. NO axums, ardors, Boundaries etc etc. And I check & been checking every week for past 2yrs only because I work at a restaurant in walking distance. Im jealous lol
I still have my Ardor mostly in stock form! Other than the fork, I love mine! As far as looks go, the Ardor is the best looking mountain bike I will ever buy! It's definitely hands down the very best looking bike Wal-Mart has to offer!

I agree on the Buckies.. I live near Springfield, Mo where they recently opened one.. Made the mistake of going on a Saturday around 2pm just to check it out..
It was so packed you could hardly walk without bumping into someone. Hundreds of people.

I live near that Springfield Mo Buckies as well. I also tried a Saturday evening visit. It was as busy as Silver Dollar City on a weekend.

That's crazy you guys read my mind. I went into a Walmart today about a half hour from my house, they had a ledge X1 and x2, they must have been stashed in the back and forgot for 2 years.

Axum Comp is pretty cool but $548.....I actually like the top tube that goes down lower. Looks sharp. Pretty good Walmart! LOL

I still have my axum lg frame, of course its completely stripped of all the aftermarket parts. I'll rebuild it for my daughter, i have a better frame now.
