Not many composers have written songs about the subject of divorce, and the psychological effects on the children as a result. Like most of Bjork's music, it would very hard for a different artist to produce a cover of this song, because it is so idiosyncratic to Bjork and her style of singing and personality. Even the song Stonemilker, is so idiosyncratic to Bjork, very very hard to imitate Bjork's music, and that is the MAIN reason why i say this performance is one of the greatest works of sonic art ever.
Those sweet, tender high notes she hits @6:14, that is truy transforming your pain into something beautiful. I can feel it vibrating through my spirit, and it doesn't seem very foreign to the pain I experience personally. It's just gorgeous.
ive probably watched this 100 times, im so glad she did this. This song and preformance is seriously legendary to me in music history. Ive never heard anything else like this

History of Touches me soprendió bastante ya que nunca la había escuchado en strings, creo que fue la mayor sorpresa para mi cuando la cantó en el concierto.
