If you're new around here - this is a beginner guide using magic and animate dead that should help you get warmed up to Telos. This is NOT an advanced strategy guide - that's not what we do here. 😂

Necromancy makes Telos shockingly easy. I'd rate the difficulty on par with the rest of the GW2 bosses. Maybe QBD with lower-end gear.
Seriously, I was ready to give up on gear progression when I got the upgrade task that required a Telos or Vorago kill, but Telos was so easy and I had no idea what I was doing for half the attacks.
Necro has made so many things easier than before 😊❤️

For anyone wanting to push enrage, Telos defence is very high so utilising defence reduction is worthwhile. That means Statius warhammer and g staff spec for magic and black stone arrows for ranged. For aura use maniacal or reckless for damage and accuracy. These give more accuracy than the supreme variants.
For hold still, anticipate or freedom before the attack comes out and resonance the second hit for free healing before walking away.
For phase 1, you can delay telos attack by 2 ticks by using target cycle. This is rather hard to explain in words so I suggest searching up “Telos p1 flinch”
For phase 2, the beam reduces damage dealt and taken when you are standing in it by 30% but telos damage taken by 20%. So generally you would not want to be in black beam unless you are blocking it to stop magic onslaught. On that note, magic onslaught timing is based on when he casts it. (Note this is all for 1 magic onslaught hit only) If he starts doing magic onslaught spec followed by the beam spawning, he will only do it once and go back to regular attacks. On the other hand, if the beam spawns followed by him doing the spec, you will need to block the beam as he will constantly use the spec until phased or the bar is empty
For phase 3 the prayer drain and adrenaline drain is based on how far the marker is on the left side as mentioned in the video. How fast the marker moves in dependent on the number of golems and whether he is in the red beam. At 1 golem, the meter will decrease. At 2 golems, the meter will move up and down but will stay stationary. If unlucky, you could get a nuke. At 3 golems, the meter steadily increases.
Good luck to anyone trying to master this boss. He is very fun and rewarding
