"Once You've Been In Love" was originally written for Barbra Streisand by lyricists Alan and Marilyn Bergman; the conductor in the video is the composer --- Michel Legrand. The song was included in a concept album entitled "Life Cycle of Woman" which was supposed to be released in the early '70s but, for whatever reason the project, was eventually shelved.
Her entire performance on that particular concert were so phenomenal and mind-blowing! Promise…

Aaaand the one conducting is Michel Legrand, a three-time Oscar winning composer/conductor. All the arrangements used in that concert were made especially for Regine.
This particular song even has a back story from the head of production of this concert, Rico Mortel.
"Inside story. We were on our first day of orchestra rehearsal in San Miguel with Michel and Regine. They ran through a couple of songs until they got to this one. All the arrangements were especially made for Regine (that was part of the reason for the Paris trip - to select the songs and determine Regine's key in each of them. The same arrangements would have been used for the planned Studio Recording with a few new treatments). Remember that this rehearsal was the first time anyone would hear Regine singing Once You've Been in Love with the orchestra. In the middle of the song, Michel's audio engineer who was manning the controls and recording the rehearsal...left his station and hurriedly stepped out of the big hall. The orchestra kept playing and Regine kept singing. So I asked Micheľs manager what could have been wrong. The two of us discreetly followed the engineer to the corridor to check how he was. When we got to him we saw him wiping away tears. And he said in French (which the manager translated to me later on)... his soul has never been touched that way by any singer. It was then that Michel's manager said to me that this was going to be an extraordinary concert."

Michael legrabd the international legendary you know what he say singing with regine is different. You feel like your in heaven when you sing by regine Velasquez. She is the only singer that sang a song that looks so easy to her with perfect facial expression and emotion even in a higher notes while singing and stieal clear clean notes and every letter are so clear in a higher notes and we don't feel anything. She feel. While she sing she pushing it. And though she will lsangvall in a higher notes. Her through will never get pain unlike other singer now they got operation to their throat.
Regine beside she's a gifted like let's say like others . But she's different among the others because how many times regine sing live that she don't have speaking voice but when she sang their a a voice come out to here through. So people knows about her. But I'm not saying all in all knows about her.
And it's rare to watch regineb.singing that has nerves going out to her neck when she's in the high notes watch most of the singer they have mad nerves to their neck when they are in a high notes🤣🤣🤣

Hi Chen. I know I just donated for a song and it might have been this one since I thought of you. It's Gabriel singing Loving You by Minnie Riperton. She was the first to ever whistle and she paved the way for many others after her. Gabriel sings it in the original key and is very respectful to Minnie. But his unique runs and never ending whistles made me wish he'd never stop singing. And what singing! Magnificent! No one will ever sing this song as perfectly again. @@itschensplace why don't you try her musical medley...you will discover how her voice in low was great and her high notes are just mesmerising and looks so easy for her...the vibrato was superb despite having a migraine and not in a good condition she manages to execute it perfectly and brilliant.....

The conductor was The "Michel LeGrand" ❤
The song is one of Mitchel LeGrand compositions and Streisand recorded it but was not officially released when it was composed. LeGrand rearranged it for Regine for that concert and it was supposed to be included in an album whose songs are written and composed by leGrand. Unfortunately, it did not materialize and was not released but all songs were recorded already at leGrands house/studio.
