Today in RAID Shadow Legends we'll talk about a few top champion combos featuring Sun Wukong. I love the little monkey because he just keeps coming back to life again, and again, and again. This mechanic allows us to make some really killer combos utilizing him. Enjoy!

When a 233 speed nuker is considered "slow" 😂😂😂
Gotta remember ash is very much end game. So all his builds are kinda tilted towards high end. Good rule of thumb is too take off about 40 speed and about 10% of his stats. Should get you to a relatively normal build lol.
Yeah, and my 380spd shu zhen + aura is still outsped by siphies and mythicals by those end game players(without aura). So i am still slow in comparison to those kind of players. We have to acknowledge the level of our accounts and that we'll never reach the kraken level
I remember when 233 was slow but I worked hard and now I'm up to 242 🤣🤣🤣

I don't have Valkanen, but I know you love him. Here's something that I just experienced that may not be widely known: the a3 can be used as a sheep cleanse on an ally.. The skill will kill the sheep, but not the ally, and trigger Malice Unleashed. Cheers

Long time watcher, first time commenter: I love pairing Sun Wukong with Wythir the Crowned for PVE content. With her passive and decent HP/DEF stats she's very hard to kill. She won't die and Sun Wukong will keep coming back to chip away at any PVE enemies.

I always have Ronda in my lineup for wukong. The affinity match up and her A2 to block passive ability to keep him from self-reviving. He can still be come back with a reviver though.
I use Ramantu with the added benefit of stripping stoneskin off their reviver.

Honestly, people sleep on Glaicad for arena. I run him fast with 9 piece protection, which gives monkey a 20% damage buff, and he gives monkey inc atk, acc, and a perfect veil. Freeze on his A1 for some nice control, and if they have less than 50% hp it’s irresistible. I’d love to see a vid about him one day
Glaicad is slick. Quad buff, speed lead with a fill. He is a dream when used with Seer. Second Pass Defense teams = easy. Freeze a1, AND a group rez? Guy is straight up OP.

can you talk about BLOCK PASSIVE and how it shuts off sun wukong revive? Rhonda is a GREAT counter to him
Yes definitely. Ronda isn't talked about much. Her debuff cannot be resisted nor can she be turn meter controlled. Insane ass champion that's slept on.

Hey Ash, i've been watching your channel for some time now and i love the content you put out. i gotta say that i don't have any of these 5 champions that pair up with Sun Wukong. However i do tend to pair him up with Lady Annabelle, not in arena though but in certain other boss fights. Every time that Sun Wukong dies it fills the energy of Lady Annabelle. Maybe it's something you could try.

Lady Annabelle and Wu-Kong are a great combo especially if you need a little extra healing against Bommal. Much love Ash :)
he really helped me with his paring with lady anibel for Bomal makes solo runs so much faster. just keeps poping back up apter the bombs detonate

In PVE, using a nuker Wukong + lady Annabel or Burangiri has nice synergy. SW dies, they heal. Even better if you have 2 sun wukong's which is how I clear most of DT hard bosses.

I literally use SWK/Armanz everywhere! Such a good combo, Ultimate control meets ultimate nukage. I went from floor 3-4 on DT hard, to currently in the 70s.
Hi Ash thanks for the video. Its got me thinking about some builds for SWK. Do you think RSL would ever consider having a Mentor system / Champion Trial (when new heros come out) / Champion Borrowing (like from a clan mate)? AFK Arena, and Final Fantasy WoTV have really good system of temporarily borrowing heros to try them out to push like one mission a week in towers. I think it would help new to mid players like me alot. It would awesome to get your input on it. Thanks
One of my fav combos people overlook is rector drath and yannica
Not a Wukong combo but a Lydia one. I sometimes pair her and Ugir, because Ugir's passive that triggers his A2 AOE buff strip will work on a revive attempt not just a successful revive. Kill someone and when the reviver or skill tries to bring them back Lydia blocks and Ugir hits, stripping the entire enemy team of buffs and replaces them with weaken. It can do a bit of damage as well if your build him for it.
I didn't know Lydia can pair with Ugir this way. I 6-starred Ugir but haven't put any gear on him. Gotta try this as I hate Pythion teams so much

Is hephrak activated by Valkanen killing a team member too, or only by enemy kills?
I like the comb with eostrid. When Wu revive he get 100% turnmeter --> massive heal for the team. Saved my Hydra team from time to time.

Most of these combo Champs I don't have yet, but my easiest 4-champ team combo for farming classic arena medals is
Arbiter - Arix - Madame Serris - Sun Wukong.
Extremely powerful team and keeps me bouncing between Gold IV & Gold V.
One that is overlooked cause of Armanz - Sun Wukong and Rhazin. Much as Rhazin could use a buff these days - he still has an AoE turn meter deplete that's a hit - have him go, deplete turn meter, you should get 2+ turns easy to take out a team with a bonus that Rhazin can be built tanky and hit hard cause DEF based. Things can get even crazier if you have a reset champion. Once they mostly fixed arena when it actually broke a couple years back I initially got in to Gold 4 with (the highest at the time) with Kymar, Apoc, Tayrel, Rhazin. Kymar gave me the speed lead I needed and the reset, Apoc the boost and speed, Tayrel dropped DEF, and Rhazin nuked/dropped turn meter so that I could go again if anyone survived - at which point Kymar resets and I do it again. 3-4 turns before the enemy team could do anything in retaliation unless there was a weak hit or resist, same as with Armanz these days (much as you don't need the Kymar). Maybe why I'm the one person that seems to have no issues with Armanz - I built a team that operated like teams with him years ago and know it's weaknesses.
Also - love when my Wukong steals the freaking stoneskin debuffs. I'm still on the lower end of arena in gold 5 and stone skin teams are the true bane of my existence (other than super tanky high resist teams with some insane nuker or the ones where 300 speed +aura is still too slow against their champs with non speed leads) so especially when he steals them off UDK, it's freaking great.
I've got an alt account I started with the monkey king code. He is awesome paired with Burangiri, who heals every time wukong dies, good arena fun
love the sheep combo, but the one where you sarcifice him an make him the "sheep" up for slaugter, just found it funny.

but the advice i saw is to press my starter(kael) up to 6 star, but with those epic an legendary, I would think that I should make one of them 6star first, an then the next.
I like to pair him with Tourmin his passive allows me to have more turns to get Wukong back. I usually run Shuzen wukong armanz and flex spot of lydia, mythrala/white queen, or UDK depending on who they have.
I can't be the only one to notice Ash styled his hair like Sun Wukong😄
Valkanen was my first ever void legendary from shards and I use the Valkanen wukong combo.
Hands down he is my favourite champion in the entire game.

I don't have lots of Legendary Champions, and definitely none of the ones listed here to combo with Wukong. But I do have an Epic combo that I have mentioned before (and it works great with Nogdar the Headhunter as well) - Pharsalas Gravedirt. His passive has an excellent chance of putting True Fear on all enemies when an ally dies. Wukong and Nogdar can just keep dying while Pharsalas keeps the enemies under True Fear. This has helped me TONS of times, and it's also a great way to beat Armanz.

I love Wukong with SS UDK and Lydia and Armani. You left out or I missed it, Lydia counters and denies a Wukong revival also and buys you some time against Wukong as well. I just rebuilt Wukong in my best savage gear and helmsmasher and I’ve nuked some entire teams I probably had no business beating.

I don't know that it would work, but any chance Valkanen's sacrifice of Wukong would trigger Hephrak? The wording on the skill doesn't make me think it would work, but would love to know. Not that I have Valkanen or Hephrak, but how fun would that be????
I run Sun Wukong, Scyl, Rhonda, and Marichka. It's pretty solid keeping me in gold tier.
I know this was all arena but Wukong and Belletar are actually a nasty combo
This meta arena combo is interesting, but i think that a sanwu caunter could be interesting ad well as a ending part of the video.

Personally, I need him as a debuffer (not much higher acc than yours) for my main team - no great synergy, but I find he (and armanz) are mainly there to strip stoneskin off uglies like Hephrak by sheeping them. I only put both together in live - because Armanz is the auto ban, so I get my team.

A use monkey in a little different way and I'm not talking about arena
A great use of combo is a monkey and a solo champion who can stay alive no matter what
This is not for arena but for places ingame where you cant beat it otherwise so having an undying monkey while an unkillable champions is just staying alive could be helpful to mitigate those 20 minutes or more of solo flights (not really endgame thing but everyone can use it for more convenience)
I sometimes use him with UDK and it works just fine
Just started playing (login reward for Scyl today). The first lego I pulled was Hephraak. Wukong and Hephraak carry me in arena so much. I can beat teams way stronger than me through those two champs.
Im only three months in my account and Wixwell not only made it so i can 1 key UN but him and Sun wukong pushed me from silver four to reliably hanging in gold 2 and 3. Wixwell has high def and acc to provoking the whole enemy team most of the time. Then i got wukong Nuking them down, also wixwells a1 does do some crazy dmg. i find when i put my battle on auto i find that they alone can beat some crazy teams.

I use arbiter/lydia/kymar and wukong on my offensive team, udk/duches/mithrala and wukong on defensive..

Sun Wukong + Lady Annabelle = easy Bommal. He dies and reborn again and again, and she gets cured every time. This makes Annabelle's build really easy.
It might not work as well in higher ranks but I've found Drexthar is great against Armanz, he pretty much just kills himself on the burn even if Drex never actually gets to attack. He'll get burned and the AI will eventually sheep Drexthar so it'll heal him back up if he gets too low too.

I managed to pull a dupe of WuKong. Should I empower or just keep him as a faction guardian. Hes only the second dupe Lego I've managed to pull. I'd love the boost to my main arena team. Anyone have any thoughts?

Nice besides the monkey which i have 2 i have none of the other champs i am at level 99 but no good legendaries have i recieved not even a Rotos or Siphi even,LOL.
You should mention gnut. His AOE weaken hits hard and good set up for sun wu one shot. Plus it’s accessible. I don’t have a single one of these champs except armanz. I don’t have any of the wave clear champs poisen combust or seer. Gnut plus sun Wu is a 2 wave clear every time for mid gamers to get to the boss..
I love seeing you Krakens who I guess didn't think monkey boy would be that good and didn't spend the extra 5 bucks for the badass alt skin LOL

I like using him with High Def High HP UDK in 6 piece or higher stone skin gear. Its how I win most of my live arena matches.

Hephraak and Wukong is a cute combo until Georid comes out and toasts your stone skin

Sun Wukong/Eostrid is my hydra combo for...
_Healing_ Both their passives work incredible well together, sun wu is built like a glass cannon ,so when he dies and rez (100%full Hp/turn meter) Eostrids passive causes a 50% max hp heal across the board. if sun wukong is alive then no one is getting hit very hard and Eostrids use of her passive is enough to heal everyone.
_Block Buffs/Steal Buffs_ obviously for hydra block buffs is a key component, even with a mischief tank, sun wu fills this roll perfectly, if for any reason block buffs isnt up and mischief steals a full row of buffs and even gets a turn to spread them Ol' Sunny boy just whips them off and get the BB up anyway. (some exceptions but dont really apply unless you want to walk away full auto but then are you really playing the game? a question for another time...
_Buffs/Debuffs_ Eostrids kit is built for hydra imo (barring her A1 sleep but everyone got filler) with her A3 inc spd / atk / turn fill / extra turn, into A2 aoe weaken/decreace spd, with a reflex set. wukong i have in a provoke set which is find reliable enough (provided it goes on first round after that it never seems to be an issue) hp / def werent even considered in his gear focus on max crit and then purely atk% crit dmg. if he alive he's destroying heads, if he's dead he is coming back with a 50% max hp heal for everyone and ready to steal the buffs hes missing, more often than not, faster than it would have come round to his turn to continue destroying heads.
this combo covers a vast amount of essentials and leaves 4 spots that a huge array of champs can fill. old and new. and PvP i use this combo when i dont have any 1 def matches swapping in 2 champs depending on whats being faced. will it push high level pvp? a firm No, but will keep you dropping a match.

I have Hephrak. Don't know if you watch Dragon Ball Z but Goku is based on the Monkey King. It would a cool thing if they did to Wukong what happens with Goku. Every time he dies, he comes back stronger. Could you imagine if everytime Wukong came back all his stats got a +1?

I'm not even using the monkey himself. He's lv50 and I can't really be bothered to upgrade him.
Plus, I'm not gonna make someone else's life in Arena more annoying than it has to be.
[edit] Also, there is something I've never really understood... Often times my buffs are blocked whenever a Wukong is on the enemy team even while he's dead. To my knowledge he only places a block buffs debuff, so how is it that buffs are still being blocked if he's dead? Is this a bug or whats going on there?
I wreck with Valk in arena. He is my top 5 most used champion on so many parts of the game.

I use sun wukong with strategos islin on defense, and I use this combo if I want to fight an armanz, strategos stays alive while sun eventually hits armanz enough times to kill him

I had to sacrifice some speed to get 100% crit rate as a free to play and i made him as a nuker it's so fun to completely obliterate enemies in the arena and he's my only 6 star right now i started playing raid when they added Ninja

My team is Armanz Wukong Valkanen and Cardinal even the toughest teams are easy farming But my Wu Kong is 295 spd though dont know if it matters
