This is also Ron Moore’s second episode, that he famously “riffed in the moment” as an impromptu lunch pitch meeting with Piller and the other staff writers as “The Bonding” was finalized from his spec script (Behr’s first day was coming in to write the Jefferies Tube scenes in “The Hunted”).
This episode sums up everything Ron Moore would become famous for, far more effectively than all his Klingon influences.

If I remember correctly Picard asked to talk to Worf earlier in the episode near the end of a scene.

James Sloyan is one of my favorite guest stars. Nails it every time

This is one of my favorite go-to episodes, especially as a passenger on late night road trips.
Sloyan as Admiral Jarok is great! While the Henry V scene is wonderful, it’s the holodeck crane shot that makes the episode.
Given how many times Data serves effectively as an ambassador and deescalates the situation with alien species, why doesn’t Data ever consider a career as a Federation ambassador?

Agreed. This channel instantly became one of my favorites. I find TOS, TNG, DS9 and Voyager to be the most re-watchable shows of my lifetime. I can enjoy the rest of Trek, but I grew up on those shows. This channel is a perfect dose of nostalgia mixed with solid commentary. Feels like I'm just hanging out with a dude I would easily get along with. Keep em coming man, I love it.
