Vandalize combined with the added SA2 content makes this feel like the most 2000’s Sonic game that isn’t from the 2000’s.

In a funny way, it’s like the Sonic Mania for Adventure fans in terms of story with all the ties to Chaos and what not. And the tone it goes for… it’s so great to see Sonic be serious again but with a writer who gives a care about the property and characters.
I was not ready for One Ok Rock to end up on a sonic game of all things. I lost my mind when i saw they were in this game.
I just listened to their newest album and I absolutely loved it. My top two songs from it definitely have to be vandalize and save yourself
@@cyclops8238 i have listened to those songs on loop, I've lost count how many times. I went through an emotional journey learning they performed vandalize!
This isn’t the first time One Ok Rock appears in a sega title, one of their songs is the intro to Ryu Ga Gotoku: Ishin! Definitely give it a listen, almost as good as this song.

Nah emo's not a negative term it's just another style of song writing. The lyrics are super theatrical and emo. I love it!

one ok rock is awesome, one of my favourite bands as well as one of my favourite songs. another good one is save yourself
If you haven't already, you also should check out the main theme (I'm Here), and the three boss battle themes (Undefeatable, Break Through It All and Find Your Flame) from Frontiers. All were written by Tomoya Ohtani, the lead composer on Sonic Team, and the guitar four all four was performed by MEG. The vocals for I'm Here were by Merry Kirk-Holmes (from Australian rock band To Octavia), and all three boss themes had vocals by Sleeping With Sirens' Kellin Quinn (with additional rap vocals by Tyler Smyth in Find Your Flame). They are some of the best songs to come out of the Sonic franchise in my opinion!
actually, Break Through It All was written by Kellin Quinn. It's basically a Sleeping With Sirens song.
@@sauvagess I have the entire soundtrack saved to my Spotify, and Tomoya Ohtani is still credited. I would imagine that Quinn was responsible for the lyrics, but the composition was by Ohtani.

I accept that maybe saying the songs were 'written' by Ohtani was the wrong word to use, but my point still stands. The songs were 'composed' by Ohtani, but Merry Kirk-Holmes and Kellin Quinn each were at least partially responsible for the lyrics.
