D.C. Booth Fish Hatchery - Spearfish - South Dakota

Visit one of the oldest operating fish hatcheries in the country near downtown Spearfish. The D.C. Booth Historic National Fish Hatchery was established in 1896 to stock trout in fishing waters throughout the Black Hills in South Dakota and Wyoming. The grounds are open daily from dawn to dusk and it is free to visit. During the summer, the historic Booth House and Fish Car #3 are open for tours. And there are tons of brown, rainbow, and cutthroat trout to see any time of year.
