      So many people are reporting MS remission on carnivore/keto diets. If you're not confused, then you may not have been paying attention.

    • @EvenSoItIsWell

      Thanks for watching Carl. Yes. I have seen some anecdotal reports of this too. I have looked for research on the carnivore diet but there is very little evidence for it where there is a a wealth of long term, peer reviewed, well respected research showing that a more plant based low saturated fat diet is beneficial.
      That said, I am continuing to watch the data. It is possible that people are responding well because they are moving away from the standard American or western diet and removing a lot of highly processed and toxic foods or food-like products.

      @@EvenSoItIsWellThanks for your nice response. I don't know what to think. So far, I do know that I don't feel at all well on ketovore animal based diet whenever I try it. However, it seems like everyone else testifying about carnivore feels AMAZING! I don't get it. 🤷‍♀

      I encourage you to follow the science and look to those that are having long term success with diet and lifestyle changes. Those that are feeling amazing my be experiencing a short term effect of removing highly inflammatory foods from their diets.

    Great video. I do not have MS, but one of my best friends does, so there's the interest. I also follow your path of whole foods plant based diet, exercise and proper sleep. It's simply the healthiest way to live! @ 9.4 minutes you mentioned a book by Matthew Walker. He has a Master Class on sleep which is fascinating.
    Wouldn't it be wonderful if we all educated our children to be healthy following these principles instead of waiting for "something to go wrong" with us?

    Thank you for sharing your story. I had a relapse in June last year, haven't improved much😢. I have noticed that I have become very forgetful. I don't have access to proper MS care since I live in a remote area. My cognitive skills are declining too. Can you please suggest any possible solutions for this? Can you please post a video about forgetfulness and decline in other cognitive skills? Keep up the good work ❤

Being in a location that does not have proper medical care is challenging and even more incentive to take exquisite care of yourself. Please try to eat the most nutritious foods you can find, exercise as you are able, try to get good sleep, and practice mindfulness and meditation. I am crying as I felt my story but without direction- in todays society too much info can be overwhelming. Then I have my faith that says I should pray and be healed, then I have my kids they are young- then I have a husband that loves us but doesn’t understand- I wish I had a support system, a naturopath, friends… I wish I had compassion towards myself - is a cycle everyday - then menopause the topping on this cake!! But I thank you for being honest and for researching- I used to be a RN- sharp and fast - now I don’t work on disability- not physically but anxiety which meds have me numb - I thank you for your videos. I will look at the storefront. I did Swank I may look at it again. I need a med to help- Copaxone was painful and the pain reminded me more of MS than my symptoms- ❤

      Hi Demetrius. Thanks for watching. Yes, I get tightness in.my left leg. It is primarily in my thigh and quadricep though. I do have sensation loss in my foot too that intensifies with exercise and the bottom of my foot can get a blister like feel too. After I stop exercising it settles back down to my baseline.
      I do take the muscle relaxer baclofen at night to help with the leg tightness.

    Thank you for the video. I was diagnosed this past February. I was wondering if you've come across any info specifically related to diet sodas and MS. I currently drink a lot of Diet Coke and hear mixed opinions on whether it's *that* bad in general and especially for nerve health. I get the feeling I should stop drinking it, but I don't really want to if I don't have to.

    • @EvenSoItIsWell
      @EvenSoItIsWell  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Thanks for watching. Your feeling to stop drinking diet sodas are spot on. Artificial sweeteners like aspartame are linked to a number of potential problems including mood disorders, mental stress, and depression which are also linked to MS.
      There is also concerns that it may increase cancer risk (although more studies are needed.)
      It basically is an anti-nutrient that does things in our bodies that we are not sure of. For instance it breaks down, in part, to formaldehyde. 😲
      It is best to only consume whole real foods if we can.
      To see more you can check out this study. Skip down to the conclusions.
