  • The Remains of a B-24D Liberator on Atka Island.
    The emergency landing hapopened on 29th December 1942.
    Luckily the four passengers of the bomber survived the emergency landing.
    The mission consisted of Captain John Andrews, Louis Blau and 2 visiting generals from Washington who wanted to learn more about the many weather related aircraft losses in the Aleutian Islands.
    The initial mission was to observe the Japanese controlled Islands of Kiska and Attu, however due to fog everything was obscured and nothing could be seen.
    I used Elevenlabs for the AI voice of Captain John Andrews.
