The Russian Kuril Islands were just spectacular. This time only passing on the passage to Alaska. Hope to come back and spent more time with the Kurils in the coming years.

On our way to Alaska, ready to tackle the Behring sea. Japan was amazing. Thank you for having us. Port of departure is Wakkanai Port in Hokkaido in northern Japan. Customs and Immigration are close by which was super convinient.

Our Last stop in Japan before leaving to Alaska is Wakkanai Port, a nice quiet town with good food and the most amazing Onsen. Its also not far away from the the northern most point of Japan.

Love this content. Some day I'd love to visit the Aleutians. I'm curious, how did you sail from Japan to Attu without immigration checkpoint? Is the island not restricted to visitors?
@asomics There are few spots of international waters between the Kuril islands where you don't need to register your boat in Russia. For the US, we obtained a 10 year B1 Visa, which is a requirement if you enter the country on a sailing vessel.
There is no restrictions to visit the islands as far as I am concerned. My brothers fixed an old ATV on the island, so if you ever go you can take it for a drive to explore the abandoned island.
This was a very wholesome , Short video and full of the human spirit.
