My favorite part of any Led Zeppelin songs is Bono hitting those triplets. You replicated it well! Had to come check it out after listening to the song today!
As we say in the UK your taking the piss with that kick pedal. As soon as I saw you don't use a double pedal for this song my appreciation for your skills went through the roof. Excellent cover my man.
Imagine coming up with that drum part .. way back when too! I used to listen to this from a copy of a tape my neighbor brought back from England , his dad worked in the record business over there in the 1960’s .. I got to hear zepplin before their music ever got played here .. very cool ! They all said I was listening to “ devil music , satanic shit” lol I just was an 8 yr old drum enthusiast who loved drumming, drums , can’t explain it , I just loved it! I heard Bonham and thought , this is something new and something that’s gonna change how we play our drums! lol . What a monster jhb was. Still my all time favorite . What an attack! What a feel .. he would yell “ Cannons!” Lol ! he is right .. that’s what he wanted his drums to sound like ! I love it still , over 50 years later ! Bless all of my Drumming brothers , may John Henry Bonham live forever in our hearts and minds and be in our spirits. ❤🥁😎Cannons forever!
1000% ! Really this was perfection. I read through the transcription a few months ago…and it really shows Bonham creative and technical genius in black & white. Dude…you are a bad ass.
This kid is so good I have no words. I literally can’t stop looking at his videos. His hands are so fast …… and I wish he had a video where he discusses his gear including pedal settings etc
I was just going to listen to the intro but then I got hooked into the whole song. Great drumming mate, among other things you nailed those kickdrum tripplets.
I’m currently learning this! It’s one fun piece. Your bass triplets sound nice and clean. My shins have been sore on the straight 8th notes for the hihat lol I’m tryna get to your level. 😃 great job!!
Most are so focused on the bass drum (as I was) I always missed the way he played the cowbell. Thanks for showing me how it was played. Most drummers don’t pick up in that. I was one of them.
Booyah! Bonham did this a lot during this era. If you watch him perform Moby Dick at RAH in 1970, you can actually see him playing a similar pattern on the cowbell. It's not straight eighth notes.
Amazing how many decades it has been since this song came out but even in 2024 its still impressive when someone can actually play this drum part
Nailed those bass triplets.
I came here to say this
Thaaaaaaat’s what those are called! I know exactly which bits you meant when you said that.
Yeah he did. I don't think I ever realized just how creative a drum track this one is until I saw homeboy here lay it down. Awesome job
I have to admit, I always thought this was played with a double kick.
If I had 5 years to practice I’m not sure I’d ever get those down. Great job dude.
Anyone who can nail the Bonham triplets the entire song is insane. Well done man, best cover of this song I've seen
The Video that nobody asked for but all we need, one of the best covers!!!
have you ever said anything original?

I could listen to those bass triplets on loop for joyful meditation, they were sweet, absolutely brilliant 🤘
I am addicted to the drumming in this classic

I’m currently learning this! It’s one fun piece. Your bass triplets sound nice and clean. My shins have been sore on the straight 8th notes for the hihat lol I’m tryna get to your level. 😃 great job!!
