  • Chia seeds have gained popularity recently though they were once a staple food in ancient cultures. They are rich in protein and omega-3 fatty acids. And because of their mucilaginous properties, they make a great pudding! Sprouting chia seeds, however, can present a bit of a challenge due to these same properties.
    Seeds such as chia, flax, and other mucilaginous seeds are best sprouted on unglazed clay or terra cotta (think Chia Pet!). So today, we're showing you exactly how to grow chia seeds into chia sprouts at home
    INSTRUCTIONS FOR DRY-SPROUTING CHIA SEEDS, watch the video. Thank you.

    I am using Walmart great value chia seeds to sprout in a terracotta dish. There is a proposition 95 warning on them. Is that why they don’t sprout?
    I soak the seeds 8 hours snd mist daily. Yet There is no response.

      Hi dear sorry that i reply late was gone for a while from youtube but now am back. May be the seeds are not meant for sprouting but for eating . Read the instructions on the packaging 📦 may be u get to know . Also u should not sock them that long .they r such small seeds if they take in too much water they wont geminate

    So you must cut the sprouts to remove them from the paper towels? Could you grow them without paper towels?

    • @Growanywhere87
      @Growanywhere87  Před rokem +2

      Hi yes u have to cut them if u dont want the roots in your salad .otherwise u can uproot them and then wash them before eating. 😃
