- What a difference a coverstock makes! The original Infinity was very smooth and controllable and the Beyond Infinity is super clean and angular! Seeing this gorgeous ball peel off the spot time and time again is a sight to see!

With the help of SPECTO data, it'll help tell the story about reaction shape, overall hook and continuation through the pins. Here are the SPECTO data points used and definition of each term:
Launch Speed - Speed measured off the hand.
Entry Speed - Speed measured at the pins. (What you'd see on your home center MPH screens)
Rev Rate - Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)
Launch Angle - The angle the ball traveled the first 10 feet.
Break Point Position - Board at which the ball was at its outermost position.
Total Hook - Total number of boards the ball crosses on the way to the pins.
Hook Power - Number of boards the ball hooked based on the True Breakpoint.
Entry Angle - The angle of the ball between 51 and 55 feet.
Impact Angle - The angle of the ball between 57 and 59.5 feet.
Pin Deck Exit - Ball position at the end of the pin deck.

This looks great! Can't wait for the Cypher. I had a Track Synergy ETS back in the day. Loved that ball
The Track Synergy ETS was one of my favorite balls ever. It was SOOOO good!
Specto running of course 🎉❤ 0:38
I like those colors because I can see the ball make the flip. Functional anesthetics (sp?).
As always Brunsnick has the very best ball reviews on youtube.
Thank you! Appreciate it.
Honestly, the functional aesthetic, as you put it, is one reason why I am seriously considering getting this ball.
Danggggg bro stop getting all these darn balls so freaking fast 🤣👏🏾
It’s a short walk to get them. 🤷🏻♂️
@@brunsnick I know bro was jk. We need to bowl a doubles tournament together 💯😉
B.Nick’ before I order merchandise t shirts’ may I ask are they 100% cotton or mix with rayon or whatever they call it. XL I wear, for example wife buys me xxl from Walmart dry it from wash and it shrinks enough to be a tad bigger of xl and fits perfect. Just need to know from you so I can order correctly. Thank Nick.
@@remington1439 they are a cotton poly blend. I have found the black shirts fit more like slimmer cut and the other colors are a little more loose cut.
Thank you
Thanks!
Thank you very much. 🙌🏻
Very pretty ball. My friend and I were spitballing arsenal ideas and he suggested one of the pieces being a medium assym with a high-flaring layout. With the lower int diff, this one just may fit the bill!
Brunswick Beyond Infinity: To Infinity and Beyond
9:14 Dang Nick this ball can be my first ball to see how the lanes are. Can’t wait.
I loved the infinity and I'm gonna get this too😂😂😂
9:14 was a pretty shot 😍😍
Noice!!
Interesting how our games vary.
You say you throw left to right out to 5 board to get entry angle, while I throw right to left over 5 board for the same thing.
You are standing on 15 while I am standing on zero.
This ball did look very good. Nice continuation and response to the friction without dying out.
Enjoyed the video. Great content.
Did you ever do a video on the Brunswick Attitude Control ? Been looking for the video, but can't find one done by you.
I didn’t.
Still prefer my hammer effect. That effect is crazy good from almost everywhere. Good looking, brunswick ball, though!
That’s a great ball no doubt. A little stronger core and cover IMO.
Yeah, the Effect looks nice.. im having a hard time choosing my next ball. I havent been bowling that long, first year in league and really became addicted. Im at the alley 2 to 3 days a week because i want to be better than i am.. 😁
It looked like on shot 2 the ball hit the pocket and took off a bit more like a second dry friction spot to leave the split.
I throw the original infinity and love it. But I do struggle a little bit with carry once the oil gets burned up, and I’ve been considering a new pearl for those later games. Considering I start with the infinity, do you think the endeavor sor the beyond infinity would be better suited for the job?
Both would fit the bill just fine. 👍🏻
This looks like a contender for me. Looking for a low int diff asym pearl ball to pair with my Solid and Hybrid syms. I bowl no thumb mid speed (14-17mph) and roughly 450 on the revs.
Super clean and a pretty spectacular backend motion. You’ll see in this vid!
Put you thumb in there gain some control the revs and speed will come back after your used to it
@@jasonellis6374 I have thought about trying one out with the thumb. Ive broken it before and it used to bother me when I would casually play with a house ball. Taking the thumb out just helped me play more games. obviously a house ball isn't drilled specifically for me so I cant say a fitted ball would cause me any pain. I can throw a house ball straight enough for my spares and I just ordered "the spy" to fill that role. I go to 3-4 different alleys around me so my speed guess is just that, a guess. last night I was showing 17-19mph and had the most control ive felt so far. as a newbie Im just not consistent enough yet anyway haha.
I had one question about drilling a ball for a right-handed bowler with thumb in the ball. Do you think a negative layout would help control the backend reaction on those flat oil patterns.
I remember watching Fran Bax win the singles event in Niagara Falls shotting a 833 i believe, and he used negative layout for an RH bowler. Of course, he won that over 30 yrs ago.
No such thing as a negative pin. I know what you mean with the term but it’s based off the PAP, not how it looks in relation to the drilled holes. Longer pin to pap’s can look negative and will generally flare less and can offer control or more length c
Brunsnick, i was wondering if you're going to usbc nationals in vegas?
If so, can you maybe talk and show what equipment you might take, i was there and really struggled with that crazy shot bowled team on 3&4, shot 978 1st game, we all felt good, that shot dried up so fast that non of us could strike, and tring to make spares was almost impossible, i can't remember when they hooked that much, maybe Knoxville when there was no oil for D&S event. Thank you.
I’ll be there in June 👍🏻
surface is the answer and a weak core (high RG gives length). You have 85% of the ball motion being determined by surface alone. Also just because its polished doesnt mean its not gonna hook, rather it will be more aggressive once it hits or its very dry making a sharper 'brake'. Which is why polished balls tend to be way more safer to play with especially once the fronts and mids give away. The only option for a heavy sanded ball is to chase oil like a madman. A simple yet effective trick also is to not exessively wipe off the flare if you wanna get nerdy trying to keep a gold zone for slightly longer. If i were to give a tip to you as an individual i would try learn/better yourself how to manipulate axis tilt to get the desired length first a foremost. After that its rotation obviously.
Dont be afraid to manipulate surface and also have different surfaces on your SYMS/Asyms. Especially if you carry around 4+ ball arsenal.
Gee I love your reviews Nick.
I'm an older bloke .. 71.. whose rev rate is low.. around 250/ 275.
I bowl on pretty dry lanes. Would this ball suit me?
Depends on your ball speed, it’s pretty clean but still a high performance ball. 👍🏻
@@brunsnick Thanks for your reply. I like it . Might win a few side pots bowling with it. Ha !
@@darylgould8923 then it will pay for itself! Perfect!
GE burnsnick what's a good dual angle layout pin up? My pap is 64 & 1/4 over 1/4 up
Hard to say, sorry. I don’t know your game or what you bowl on.
Hey Nick! If i have the Tour Dynam-X, Xponent and Virtual Energy Blackout.
Will the Hammer effect, Archetype Hybrid or the Beyond infinity will be the one that fits the spot in my arsenal? Two handed, high rev wide angle player here!
I don’t know competitor gear, sorry!
All 3 of ours you mentioned are pretty skid flip, with the Beyond being the cleanest and longest, Effect being the middle and Archetype Hybrid being the quickest but more forward off the spot.
Just when I thought I was sure of my next purchase in the Hammer Effect… how would you compare the two on a typical house pattern?
The Beyond is cleaner down the lane and not as dramatic off the spot as Effect. Has to do a lot with the lower intermediate diff and cover strength.
Thank you! So the Beyond is going to be more predictable and have more miss room?
Might be a little squirrelly if you have too much ball speed or don’t see enough friction.
How are you getting the specto readings when I do not see the specto between the two lanes? Now my question which ball you like better the Track archtype Hybrid or this ball better.
SPECTO Covers 6 lanes. It’s in between lanes 3-4 in the 6 lane house.
spectos on 3 and 4, it can go up to like 2 pairs on either side.
@@brunsnickThanks for the clarity. But how about the other question? I asked what vault do you think is better the archetype Hybrid or this new ball.
@@BBBYpsi when you edit and add it later I don’t see it. Both balls are good, just a little different in response to friction. Archetype Hybrid is much quicker to hook and roll more forward. This is cleaner and much later. There’s room for both in a bag.
WOW🤑🤑
Do you think this and the outer limits pearl are comparable to each other? Outer limits has a lower RG and a higher int diff compared to the beyond infinity. Could I assume the window will be smaller on the outer limits due to those characteristics?
Correct. They are close but the subtle differences in dynamics will make the difference as it responds to friction.
Cool video talk tech bowling ball Brunsnick
What if you didn't loft it as much? Would read earlier, or do you think its clean enough to be a similar shape without loft?
I pretty much always loft it. Rolling it into the lane more will read earlier.
looks like a good step down from the evo response?
Yep!
If the cuda pearl is gonna get discontinued is there a new piranha pearl announced soon 👀
I JUST snagged a classic jade piranha pearl last weekend, that could be a fun comparison for me
Inwant the Cuda...
I'd like to see a comparison between the Beyond Infinity, and the Endeavor. I feel these two would be very similar, even though one is a symmetric and the other is asymmetric. Thoughts?
This one is cleaner cover and later down lane. Probably hooks a bit more overall.
@brunsnick so probably a good 3rd game ball when the lanes get dry and my 2.0 hybrid starts acting funny?
@@allenziebarth2791 I think so yes!
Ok, thats it, i need one more ball this year. But this is the last one... 😂
I like your style and the fact that you lie to yourself 🤣 it’s only April! 😁
I enjoy your videos and have previously only purchased the Brunswick brands but I thought I once heard a man say “HK22 isn’t going to be on everything…” Sorry but I’m not a fan. Bought two. One completely dead after 30 games and proper maintenance on surface. 2nd one is trying to be on its way out too. All my non HK22 Brunswick brands balls are still great after 75 plus games. SPI here I come! I hear their coverstocks have more life in them.
Sorry you’re having issues! Very strange. 🤔
I’ve purchased many hk22 balls
Never had that issue…
It’s very frustrating to say the least. I love my BW 2.0 and other non HK22 balls I have, but I seem to be striking out with HK22. I have talked to others that have had the same experience so I’m not alone. Some say they have had a great experience and others have had my experience.. I have a Radical Trailblazer and Conspiracy Scheme with the motion magic cover.
I have over 100 games on them and they are still great. I know that cover was developed during the development of HK22. So far I think it’s better
I've bought and Infinity in August 2023 and is already done. Tried to "revive" it but I have the same problem over and over again. No oil absorb, even with a proper maintenance from my local pro shop. It works for 2-3 games then back again to the same thing. Never again Brunswick, never again.
What’s proper maintenance? We may have different ideas on surface management. 👍🏻
So many bowling balls, it's like every other week there seem to be new balls from each brand.. what happens to bowling balls that no one buys? I have 3, one used and i cant seem to deside by the time i think i have one 8 more come out.. 😂
We sell every ball we make. 😎 but with 7 brands there will always be new gear out pretty much every month.
Can you review the new columbia kaboom?
Yes, will be later this week.
Thanks. I'm looking forward to seeing it in action @brunsnick
Nick, what is your PAP?
4.5x0.5 up
Enough difference to have in the bag with the Theorem?
Yes. This is a bit cleaner and later. Would be what you go to if Theorem becomes too rounded and early.
@brunsnick Thanks. I'll be pre ordering it now!
Awesome! Enjoy! Arrives 4/18!
@brunsnick Thanks, and keep the awesome reviews coming!!!
@@brunsnick I was just thinking this looks like a ball you could go to when the Theorem is burning up
Ok time for new ball I am not the use whole lane bowler basically up 2 arrow. What’s your suggestion
Dv8 trouble maker pearl
Radical results
If you want to play straighter up the boards, Breakaway or Scorpion Low Flare
Colors remind me of old Optics ball
Hammer seems it the best.
How do you get so many "bad racks"? You would think those machines would be tuned to be perfect... Is that common on Brunswick pinsetters? I would think with maintenance it would be uncommon. My local house always sets them perfect... Although I may have a different definition of "bad rack".
We don’t really have a mechanic here like all centers. They’ve been adjusted but they do wear and things need to be replaced and adjusted.
how do you feel about this ball compared to the Hazmat.
More length with this one seems like. Both very strong off the spot.
Would you need a higher or lower rev rate to strike from a break point at the 10 or 15 board as opposed to the 5 board?
You’d typically need a longer pattern with more volume towards the outsides. That will force a breakpoint more towards the pocket.
10 board break point on this shot would likely need way more speed or a lot less revs.
Thanks. Oh, I bought the nu blue hammer we discussed a while back. What a great ball! 👍
Will you bowl on the PBA 2011 US Open oil pattern any time soon?
Random. No.
lol outta no where with this request 😂
TRY DOING THAT ON A BONE DRY HOUSE SHOT LET ME KNOW IF IT IS NOT IN THE NEXT BOWLING ALLEY.
Ok
@@brunsnick i would like to see you demo this ball or another new ball on a completely dry lane. that means zero oil. the reason why i say that is because in new york in a league or in open bowling there is always a major problem with dry lanes. only the pro tour has oil to be able to use many of the balls on the market today.
Dry lanes does not equal no oil. Big difference.
@@brunsnick Travel to Bolero in Commack, NY and you will see a dry lane with zero oil.
Idk why but it looks like it should be from columbia 300. Just my opinion
How does this ball compare to the original Infinity?
Cleaner and much more flip
Hi
Im Alex from germany and im in Bowling for 43 years.
I like your Videos, but why dont you show us no spare shots, or ball comparsions.
Alex
I’m reviewing a new ball, not shooting spares.
I’ve gone away from doing a lot of comparisons, they’re usually too specific for a general audience to watch. I do a few here and there when they make sense.
@@brunsnick ok
You know, you do SO MANY reviews of all of the new high performance balls... but the poor new Spare Balls get no attention! Only 3 high performance balls announced, but a lonely new Rhino and 4 new plastic balls got announced too... for shame... they get no love...
In all seriousness, might be fun to compare the different "classes" of spare balls for straightness like the Crown Jewel vs. Hammer Axe vs. T-Zone/White Dot vs. Radical Spy.
Oh, Brunswick brand, you're making me a poor man.
But have a bag full of great gear!
@@brunsnick True.
