The Shaeffer Legacy II is indeed a great pen.

@Calcprof Hi Tom, yes, that is my grail pen. I treasure it most of all the pens I own, and if I only had one to keep, it would be this one.
Right now the blind cap is stuck open for some reason, maybe because I had an ink leak and a former habit of leaving pens standing nib upwards in cups and small ceramic vase-like things which may have exacerbated the leak. I don't know how the leak occurred since I use only Sheaffer cartridges in it. I have tried soaking the body in water to no avail, and it really dismays me that I cannot get the cap to turn in any direction. I am too afraid to try a pen cleaning solution because of the finish. I don't like silver toned anything, and this finish tarnishes really easily, so I hate to think of what might happen if it comes into contact with ammonia or another harsh chemical. I have reconciled myself to the fact that I will have to send it off for repair, which I am really loathe to do because of the unreliability of our postal system. I am so afraid it will get lost. My plan is to send just the body and not the nib or cap - that way if something happens, I still have the most important part of this pen.
Hope you are well - have a great day today!

@KenchanKrafts Hi Lao!! Great to see you again! 😉I hope you are well. Oh, you are so funny!!! Nothing like a rollercoaster ride of dizzying focus in my videos ~ I have an absolute minimalist setup. I use my cellphone, an iPhone 12 Pro Max running the stupid iOS 17.2.1 update that is sucking my battery dry within five minutes and eating all my free memory space. UGH!
I film on an adjustable height table next to my desk in a room with a doorwall (some folx call it a sliding glass door or slider), but I generally film later in the day, so my natural light source is always iffy unless it's summer, especially this year with all the smoke from the forest fires up in Canada (I'm also in a northern border state like yours). My light source is four ceiling recessed pot lights, so I can't get rid of the shadows unless I get standalone lighting with an umbrella kit to bounce and soften the light, which I don't have room for. I've tried ring lights, but I can't find one that will mount on this articulating arm at the same time as it holds the phone.
Decades ago I used to be a pretty serious art film photographer, so I use my heavy duty Manfrotto Bogen 3221W wilderness tripod with the 3030 head mount that I used to use for my medium format film camera (analog Mamiya 645e). Attached to that I have a Manfrotto 3-section articulating arm and iPhone mount. I use the Manfrotto super clamps to cobble it together. It's not the best situation really (I worry about damage to my tripod because of the clamps), and even though the tripod stands about a good six inches away from my desk, whenever I lean on my desk to write, I somehow manage to knock something or other to cause it to wiggle.
If the tripod wiggling isn't enough, unless I am writing, and only if I remember, I leave the camera on autofocus, which as you can see isn't the best solution. If I know I am only going to write and not try to get the camera to focus on the nib or pen, then I try to remember to set the focus to AE/AF Lock to try to lock in exposure and focus. But that means anytime I try to get a closeup of the nib, things go awry.
I do dream of getting a digital camera and a smaller, lighter weight tripod for overhead flat lay filming, but I just can't bring myself to spending that kind of money for the occasional video: I'd rather use that money to buy pens.
Ha! You have beautiful Sailors yourself!! I REALLY, REALLY wanted that BunGuBox Sanctuary turtle pen, but it's a Pro Gear, and those are just a smidge bigger than I enjoy though I often find myself thinking about getting it anyway. I'm jealous of YOUR pens!!! You have a much more varied collection than I do, with way more high end pens than my basics. 😉🙃 So glad to hear from you again!! It's nice to chat. Stay well.

Why do you have so many doubles in your collection? Are they same pens in different nib sizes?

@user-gl5ld9vm7i Hi, Oh I'm very sorry for the inconvenience, but for the most part my videos are no talking. I've had damage done to my vocal chords due to intubation tube injury in a seven hour surgery (one of three in a one month period last year), so I don't have the ability to really record viable speech, and I've looked into text-to-speech apps but haven't found one that I can invest the time into using. There are lots of other folx in the fountain pen vlog-world who have speaking videos though.
