i LOVE pale inks. They are perfect to journaling in public. Gives you the maximum privacy from nosy eyeballs. And even at home LOL. HAPPY FOUNTAIN PEN DAY, everyone🎉
I chuckled every time you said an ink was “very shady” haha. Inks of dubious moral character.
I am currently obsessed with inks that sheen purple to light green in that pseudo iridescent way! So good. ❤

Oh, thanks for showing the Karashi ECO alongside the Yellow ECO. I missed out on the Yellow, because it was released right after the pandemic lockdown, and I was avoiding ordering anything online, but I really do want one. After seeing the two, I definitely prefer the Yellow to the Karashi, but I also want the new Saffron ECO.

Happy to read in the comments that it’s Fountain Pen Day, but what makes your video the best, most cozy one to watch today is because it’s raining buckets for all of us in the Pacific Northwest (yes, I agree with you that Vancouver BC is in PNW smile😊), with threats of snow starting Monday. Great video! Very interesting to see what other people are enjoying! A bit dangerous though cause I see soo many things I like here😂
Same reason I never use plain blue inks is what you said about the black inks. Only blue inks I have are diamine aurora borealis (way more teal than most ballpoint inks and sheening) and troublemaker abalone (chroma shading and a very muted, neutral blue unlike most ballpoint pens).
Most pens are blue or black so when you have the option of ANY colour you could think of, why use the colour of literally every ballpoint pen??
I don’t write with black either, but like you, I do use black for drawing but that’s only because most of the good, completely waterproof inks available to me are black🙈 and it HAS to be waterproof because I use watercolours over my linework! if I could use a solid dark brown or dark green instead and have it be totally waterproof, I would ditch the black ink so fast 😂 but I’ll deal for now because it makes me feel really bad when I have to throw away my pigma microns when they dry out🙈 lots of plastic.
And I can’t use other fineliners because the hard, durable nib of the PN pigma micron is essential because of my heavy hand that destroys felt tipped fineliners in the blink of an eye. Same goes for the steel nib of my kaweco sport fountain pen: it’s super durable🥳
I have that steel nib too. Have not tried it out yet.

I actually liked Inkvent Red better than this year's Inkvent Green. If you're wanting green inks, you'd love this year's. Brandy Snap is also one of my faves from Inkvent Red, I bought the full size bottle and I've always got it inside at least one pen :).
Thank you for sharing this information. I'm relatively new to the fountain pen and ink world, but I'm looking for a special ink to journal in my hobonichi 5-year starting next year. The Sailor ink looks like a wonderful option. Time to get shopping!

I love the Monarca inks at Armaillia ! I purchased a few items & was VERY pleased….
I also got that same Mustard TWSBI eco and I love it. The moment I saw it I knew I had to have it.
Thank you for mentioning this new TWSBI after I watched this I went to Amazon Japan right away and bought it! I had no idea this was made and mustard orange is my current color obsession lol
That Oblation Olive. I need it. Wow! I don’t know what it is with me and the olive green inks but I’m collecting them too. From your video it seems Altgoldgrün has more blue than this ink. Ok, I’ll watch on. 😂
That Sailor! That is on my wish list, but I can't decide between Nuts and Koi. I also really like Friends Brown. Your video puts me one step closer to Nuts, love that ink color. Thanks!

I've been into light tan inks too! I've been loving Wearingeul Song of the Reed and FWP Oyster Hour the most lately. I have to try Monarca!
My goodness! That vintage pen is gorgeous!!!! It reminds me of a tiger eye stone. I did not know that celluloid was flammable like that 😳I have mine next a candle all the time! Thank you for sharing 😅It's funny you mention that you didn't love the Sailor feedback. My first Sailor was a broad and I loved it so much, but when I purchased a MF I hated it so much 🥴That pen is gone and I've been obsessed with my pilot custom 823 and all I think about is Abby's 🤭

I have my grandfather's Waterman pen. It's heavily used and needs someone to repair it. I was looking into buying a few items so I could do it myself but I might pick up a different pen without sentimental value to test my skills on 😂😂
