This is the third Soul Link adventure that the two of us have had on this channel. We've already conquered Kanto and Johto, but Hoenn was the one that got away for my girlfriend. As soon as we got the hankering for another pokemon adventure we were quick to hop back into the randomizer and arrange another Two Player Nuzlocke Adventure!

@@peterrealar2.067 This time too. Mew has more special defense than Groudon, and it resists psychic too. Seems they got into the habit of using the legendaries as an answer. But a Deoxys is also a legendary that has high killing potential.

Nuzlocke randomizers have taught me to NEVER be glad to see a Regi. Not as a wild encounter, not as a Trainer battle, and especially not as a Starter.
Tbh Regis are like the worst thing to find early cause they just have explosion and unless you got disable or damp then I guess easy catch and honestly registeel is probably the best option out of the Regis you can get cause the others are like okay but it also the most dangerous

10:24 I did the damage calculation. That was a one hit KO even without the crit. Fire vs Ground is a bad matchup. Always know your typings.
What about the other three? Maybe sneasel would've tanked a hit but if I remember correctly ground is super effective on ice (could be backwards but I'm pretty sure) he was likely to lose a mon no matter which one he used

Rayquaza was in ruby sapphire, it just wasn't part of the main story like in emerald. You could still get it in the sky tower (?) It was also just a pain to climb
Yep! If I remember correctly, Rayquaza in Sapphire/Ruby was at level 70 while in Emerald, it was at... 50? I think?
@@rayspector8777 Still 70 in Emerald. The only legendary changes were Groudon and Kyogre, who were postgame at level 70 in Emerald, as opposed to 40 before gym 8.

@@MasterSasori09 Ice Beam can be bought with coins at the game corner in Mauville City. It's the equivalent of 80,000 pokedollars in game corner coins. Maybe they just didn't know.
@@MasterSasori09 Level caps, when he catches it they say he won’t evolve before E4 and they did mention the movesets are ass in gen 3 although I’m not sure about that one myself

For those interested, Pokemon GayWedlocke can also be chosen as an alternate ruleset if you so desire.
Pokemon PolyWedlocke rules need to be manually managed on a case-by-case basis, but you're probably used to that by now.
Traditional wedlock is a little more challenging

Man this video brought my ptsd from my emerald nuzlocke last year back. To put it simply after Norman I went to each gym fight with the attitude if I win this fight I will consider this a victory. I only had two pokemon survive that run, a cradily and quite literally the savior of that run slaking who ended up destroying the elite four and champion pretty much by itself.

looking forward to the eventual gen 5 playthrough and soul link!! those games have such a wide variety of pokemon to choose from and generally much, much better movesets to go along with them lol.
Maybe I misunderstood the soulink and somebody can help me understand. Since Latias is a Psychic/Dragon and Deoxys is a Psychic, that would make them unusable? To be clear, the first type listed for Latias is Psychic so it would be treated as such for the soul link
Latias is dragon/psychic, and since it's primary type is dragon, they can use deoxys
Until gen 4, the only dragons that weren't primary actually gained the typing via evolution.

Milotic is my favourite water type and 4th favourite pokemon ever so to see it take you so far makes me proud. Milotic is such a beast in gen 3, I’m guessing tms were randomised as the abandoned ship (before 6th gym) normally gives ice beam as a tm which wrecks any flying and dragon types and would have made rayquaza trivial. Still love your videos so much and this was a great journey to watch ❤️

I understand that Rayquaza is weak to Ice-type, but it usually has to face it directly for it to damage it.

That Champion was STACKED, holy cow. Loved that Rock Slide. Though, I have to say, that Scizor lived too long. Surf in the rain would have been enough (and outside the rian would have left Scizor outside potion range). The tense situation coming from it was very fun to watch though.

Btw I would enjoy these even if the run ended in failure halfway through. No need to throw out all that work for a video for nothing.
The water and normal thing is something I’ve seen in every soul link and simply put water was and I’m sure still is to this day the type with the most amount of Pokémon in them. At this point the odds of playing a soul link and no one getting a water type is literally impossible
