We randomized our starters in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet but when we choose our starters for a battle, we both have to choose the same option!

Here's an idea, each person secretly picks left, middle or right - if you match, that's the one you both get, if not, you both get the position neither of you picked.

Suggestion for when the new/old mons get added to the randomizer, I would love to see a classic "choose your own starter" style video, just pick what you want from the returning/new mons and have some fun with them.
I love the defeated “oh” when Luke hears about the hoopa unbound
Hoopa is one of those mons where they have great physical AND special sets, they got good stats for both, can run banded or specs, and they got good coverage and stab for both.
Its a really heavy hitter, thats balanced by its weakness of uturn, one of the most common pivot moves in pokemon.
Is it best with a mixed set with a life or to be able to do both, Just invest in it's defenses?
@@EnglishAaron its better to just run either or. Just maximize on one stat for the most dmg. Also nahh, its not the frailest mon ever, it can take non bug move hits, still not worth it to spend EVs on non offensive stats. So just go max atk and speed. I dont like Life Orb Hoopa much, i much rather run choice or AV. Best i still think is specs, just cause the coverage it has is way better, but he does have the stronger stab in phys, so take that as you may.
@@EnglishAaron there's little point in investing defense, the type combination has ZERO resistances (only an immunity to psychic)
The thing is Hoopa is even BETTER with Tera because it gets a lot of great coverage and you can tera out of that Bug 4x weakness
It's also slow and has paper thin def
I just wanna take a moment to appreciate Luke censoring the strobbing effect when his pokemon was glitching out. Very appareciated and not smth many youtubers would think to do!

I really appreciate the covering of the glitched texture to be safe. Strobe stuff gets left with no warning a lot, which can be really dangerous. I’m glad to see it being taken seriously. /gen

@@bonnome2 it’s better to be safe than sorry. People have made that assumption before and been wrong. For example, the infamous Porygon episode
@@Clawleone "better to be safe than sorry" is what people say use that don't actually care enough about safety. If they actually cared about it they would look actually into a problem to see if it is safe.
The porygon episode had a huge intense blue, red strobing.
The flickering that you see here is much less intense than the flickering of normal CRTs during the time of the porygon episode anyway
@@bonnome2 while I agree that the strobing in the episode had much more strobing, but I severely disagree with your notion on “better safe than sorry” being for people who don’t care about safety 💀 maybe, it’s people who care but are not as informed on the specifics of what can cause harm to a person maybe…? That’s why people often put warning in their videos with what I would call < moderate strobing or flashing. Idk tho, I am in fact, not informed 🫡

I think a good idea with this concept is that you both pick a spot at the same time. If you both pick the same spot (left, middle, right) then you get that Pokemon. If you both choose different spots, then you have to take the one spot you both didn't say. That way, there's strategy in picking maybe not the best Pokemon just in case your opponent makes it obsolete by choosing a different spot, or you can decide if you want to tell your opponent where your better Pokemon are so you can coordinate with each other or betray that trust.
It might be cool if each person got a randomized 18 pokemon and you get to arrange which 3 starters are seen by your opponent in which order. Possibly try to mind control your opponent into not picking better mons later by the options you gave earlier

I love how Luke's team was blue coded and Rich's team was red coded. You should do a color coded challange next where you have to catch pokemon of one colour, for example red has to be the primary colour of the pokemon.

I was flabbergasted when I saw you were not using Dire Claw on Sneasler, which is WAY better than Poison Jab.
It has a 50% chance to either Poison, Para or put to Sleep! And deals the same damage with the same accuracy!

I don't know how fun it'd be but I think it'd be interesting for when you randomize abilities, to only randomize them between abilities that give immunities. Like Flash Fire, Earth Eater, Volt/Water Absorb, etc.

Hoopa unbounds physical defense is paper and sneezlers base attack is super high so it makes sense why hoopa went down to one u-turn especially since it is quad weak to bug moves

suggestion for a simmilar type of gimmick. why dont you guys like, count down and say your choices together. the nif you pick right and the other person does, you both pick right and vice cersa. hut, if you pick right and the other one picks left, you guys get the middle mone, and vice versa.
Video idea:Randomised starters and you choose the opponents Pokémon.After you both have 6 Pokémon you can choose the items and ability's for the opponent so they have the worst team possible
Made a slight oops before the battle started, it showed the grayed and red pokemon so I knew the outcome before it started. still a fun fight to watch.

I am curious what a choose your starter cagelock would look like. The starter selection would be similar to these videos but I am curious if they would catch 3 then release 2 or just pick the first, second, or third encounter as the next Pokémon to join the team…

Idea for a better soul link version is have both people see their pokemon and get reactions but take turns between the two people and have one person choose which pokemon from left middle right are linked to opposing left middle right so (I link my left with your middle etc) and the the other person chooses middle left right then switch so really similar to this but more skill involved with seeing reactions so maybe you could link ur best mon with theirs
