I'm happy the faith which has been shown in the lad is beginning to pay off. On the list since 2016, four years since his 2018 debut and he's finally showing signs of positive footy. Moving to the midfield is a promising.
Here's food for thought. A midfield with more than a few options: Mitchell, O'Meara, Wingard, Worpel, Shiels, Nash, Moore(fwd/mid), Morrison, Newcombe. A backline sporting: Sicily, Bramble, Frost, Grainger-Barras, Frost, Scrimshaw, Hardwick and a forward fifty boasting: Breust, Gunston, O'Brien, Kositsche, Lewis, Moore(fwd/mid), Brockman and Jeka and a resting McEvoy every now and then...this looks a pretty good list. Not mentioning Impey back, Reeves improving, Cegs playing swapping ruck duties...there's a lot to like.
And...Sam Mitchell WILL NOT play fellas who dispose of the ball poorly. I love Clarko and his time as a Hawthorn coach, his place as a Hawk legend will live forever but the time is now. Time to build to flag 14 and beyond.

We waited almost a decade for Schoey to come good, and luckily, Nash has found his niche after only a couple of seasons. Great call on putting him in the midfield.
Tackles are elite, poor Newcomb will have to work hard for a gig now
He can be a depth player till Liam Shiels retires. Unless the ruthless Hawthorn match committee do what they did to Brad Sewell a bit earlier.

Said on the BF forums the other day, give him a couple of years in the middle and he could be our version of Cripps/ Bont. Never play him forward again, he belongs in the middle.
