    Good review, thanks for an insightful video. The TM mws is about 1200$ before taxes and delivery here in Canada. I went with the DE N4 at 650$ the extra cash will be for the furniture. Although I like the TM version I don’t mind dipping my toes into the my first GBBR rifle with a clone.

    Regarding the inner barrel on the TM the standard would be a 6.08mm 250mm which was in all the variations of the MWS up to this point. If the new URGI has full length inner barrel its an interesting change for them to make, excellent video comparison btw.

    Cool video! I’ve been running MWS variants since 2018 so it’s interesting to see how a clone compares!
    I’m sure you may have covered it already, but I’m curious about the DE in terms of its overall performance, like how well does the hop perform, what bb weights can it lift? What’s the FPS like out the box, range, accuracy etc?
    Would you say it’s a great alternative if someone already has an existing MWS, and would like a more different build without paying the extra cost for new receivers, rails etc? 👍

    Think I’ve found an issue with the URGI. The rail creeps forward from the receiver under use. Noticed a gap between the top rails on the hand-guard and receiver. Tightened the rail back up (with blue lock tight)… happened again. Noticed yours has done the same since your unboxing video.

      Hi there, the DE mags are OK, especially for cqb. They do have a smaller tank and, therefore, a lower fps. Tm mags shoot around 320-330fps, whereas the DE shoots around 300fps. There are many brands now making P-Mags like master mods and T8 with their lancer mags, so you really have a good choice.

    I was wondered how 'copied' one good or bad. There is not so much info in domestic market but just DE is copied TM.
    In Japan (where I live in) both of them not so much price differences.
    something alike URG-I(TM) in market price 62,000-68,000 yen and N4(DE) is about 60,000-70,000 yen. also DE one is hard to get because importer is quite few.
    I will try PMAG shape MWS mag if affordable price.
    nice one keep it up.
    by the way, MWS inner barrel length is 250mm(9.84"). It is same inner barrel length every TM MWS rifles. even 16" models'.

    Very thorough review. You are giving us the best GBB/GBBR reviews on CZcams.
    I am considering buying a GHK URGI MK16, mainly because the finish on the gun is less scratchable than the VFC and because of the better winter performance (in my opinion of course). It seems like you prefer the VFC over the GHK. Therefore, It would be nice to see a review from you comparing a VFC to a GHK both from the AR series.

    • @RazorNLD
      @RazorNLD Před 3 měsíci

      I would take GHK over VFC, however depends on the platform and what replica. GHK was my 1st GBBR and it runs great in the winter!

  • @ExiLeZH
    @ExiLeZH Před 8 měsíci +2

    I noticed a difference between the two performance wise? The TM's firerate and kick seems to be faster and harder? Now since you demonstrated a part swap (in which the performance also "transferred"), it then should originate from either the mag, the bolt carrier/nozzle or combination of both? This wasn't fully clear to me.

    • @MiddleAgeGameruk
      @MiddleAgeGameruk  Před 8 měsíci +3

      Hi there, the fire rate is down to the mags, the pmags are great and work fine but the size of the tank inside has a slightly less volume and the stock knocker valve releases just a fraction more gas than the tm wich dose result in a slightly higher cooldown rate etc.. when I use the tm mag with the noveske, it cycles the same as the tm. Whatever brand of mag you choose, you will see slightly different performance levels some more and some less.

    • @ExiLeZH
      @ExiLeZH Před 8 měsíci

      @@MiddleAgeGameruk Oh nice, good to know the DE has the full potential with just a simple mag swap. So when buying the DE, just get more TM mags with it, or another specific brand?
      Perhaps some modifications are possible to still somewhat improve the DE mag? Or would for example a higher output release valve decrease the performance too much since the tank is smaller?

    • @MiddleAgeGameruk
      @MiddleAgeGameruk  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Exactly, with the DE mags, you probably couldn't chainge the tank size, but a simple knocker valve swop to a master mods, or guarda should improve the rate of fire. As for tm mags, there is just bomb proof and have been the standard.

      Hi there, before you do, just check the top of the nozzle for "M4/416 V3" printed on the top and off you look down the nozzle and see a small hex screw then you know you have the npass, min came with a metal restrictor glued in it even though I had a v3 nozzle. They weren't expensive though and it was relatively simple to replace. One piece of advice is to run the first 1k bbs in semi as it will take some time to wear in. Great video. I'm definitely keen on the DE (my DE M906C has served me so well I bought a used 904G as a lightweight/friends&family gun).
    The only thing I noticed in this video that could put me off is when you fired them both on full-auto.
    In the first shooting segment, the DE tended to double-tap.
    In the section shooting segment, where you had swapped the bolt and mag over, the DE with the TM components fired nice little bursts, whereas the DE components in the TM still seemed rather sluggishly double-tapping again.
    Is there a difference in the amount of gas the magazines are providing? I wonder if the TM mags are letting more gas into the system and therefore giving that nice rate-of-fire...?
    Edit - just seen another comment below - it's the mags. Ok!

  • @Orange_Spartan

    • @MiddleAgeGameruk
      @MiddleAgeGameruk  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Hi there, the lower fps/range is due to two things i found. The first is the short inner barrel. Mine came with a really short inner barrel. The second is the size of the mags gas tank, the marui holds slightly more gas with a slightly higher pressure. The ability to use a variety of different magazines is a great benefit as you can find ones that perform the best for you.

    • @Orange_Spartan
      @Orange_Spartan Před 4 měsíci

      Ahh thanks dude, do you think the TMs longer barrel makes it a bit more rangey/accurate overall? or is there not much in it with the short inner barrel?

    • @MiddleAgeGameruk
      @MiddleAgeGameruk  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Hi there, all I can say without further testing is that there was enough fps difference that they had to go short for uk laws, now for me that means they didn't want to spend time testing and most likely took the simple option for cost. I will say a tight bore inner barrel that goes just to the tip will be a good start to get it ready for reaching out beyond 25m. Just remember the jule creep and, if possible, install an npass to help. A bucking of your choice will help, too.

    How to recognize MWS from not MWS Marui? Marui seems not to refer to a MWS or also shops do not refer to it. Would like to understand how to get a GBBR mws.
    Any GBBR by marui is a MWS? Or it has a specific SKU?

    • @MiddleAgeGameruk
      @MiddleAgeGameruk  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Hi there, any AR15 gbbr from Tokyo Marui will use the "MWS ZET" system. With other companies that use the Marui's ZET design, they will refer it to just the MWS system as that is what the community calls it. So, like Guns Modify, they call there HK 416A5, MWS GBBR. What that means is they use the similar or same system as marui and use the same magazines, inner barrels and bucking etc...

    • @DNH17
      @DNH17 Před 2 měsíci

      @@MiddleAgeGameruk Thanks. Thanks a lot. This confusion came for me for Marui at least, as I watched a video of a GBBR owner and in title or elsewhere in video wrote and said "why getting a MWS is worth it"? (so I thought since he was speaking of a Marui that there are Marui GBBR that are not MWS... I m talking recent ones) or something similar. And thus from the newbie perspective this creates a mess as you can't learn or put into a context as generally today people (not you) talk like all where inner of their circle. There is this very low grade tribal attitude that is destroying communication (it's not just the normal perspective of an ignorant on the topic I believe). It's cool when a speaker offers at least a "safety hook" for any viewer staying light and cool in the speaking...(for example you do this in this or another video where as you mention the parts of the replica you actually point at their location.. that allows to learn while listening to new or semi new stuff or strengthen something one already knows without being too heavy for someone who knows already).
      I don't watch videos if I can't learn I don't do stuff but to learn new stuff. It's like many people don't do this but just to fill their time, like they were always bored, or for the makers of the content\video\ like there was someone else on the other side that wanted to learn... While instead we are learning and problem fixing machines (besides other things).
      Thanks for keeping your videos open to learning and actually informative.

      The charging handle on the n4 was the tm urgi as a proof of concept that parts were interchangeable, as stated in the video. The charging handle does work, but due to the different reciver shapes being a modern noveske design , the tm's handle did not hold tight due to the higher recoil impulse from using the tm magazine. As for sounds using their own parts properly in person, they sound the same, sadly without spending thousands on professional audio setup, hopefully one day in the future, you can't get a good audio thats really representative.
