thanks so much my friend! im going to change the battery in my 2013 lacrosse as preventative maintenance since it has the ORIGINAL battery in it still!
Oh wow that is a long time! Good luck you can do it!
This video is an excellent guide for the 2014 Buick Regal too. The set up is exactly the same. IMPORTANT NOTE: A battery tender was unnecessary for the Buick. I did not use one and none of the electronic settings were lost.
Super helpful guide. Worked with my 2015 Buick LaCrosse. Thank you!
It was stupid complicated for no reason. Helpful video 👍🏼
Hi - Thanks for watching and sharing your opinion!

very good video
Hi - Thanks for watching! We're glad you like it.
Just changed battery in 2017 Lacrosse. Battery is in the trunk. Even though there’s a lot of stuff to remove to get to the battery, it goes really quick. What held me up was the positive cable connect attached to that huge distribution block. It took a while to figure out it all comes off with one nut to the right side of the cable. It holds the pos. Cable on from the side with a wedge block that wedges into the pos cable tightening or loosening it as you turn the screw.
Also for 2017+ years….
What’s more important is to reconnect the vent tube to the side of the new battery. But the battery has a vent hole on either side, so you have to pull the white plastic plug from the pos side of the old battery and place it into the pos. side of the new one. Just plug the vent tube into the neg side of the battery.
Hi - Thanks for watching and sharing your experience!
Can you do a video for the v6 (non eAssist, 2018 & 2019) where the battery is located in the trunk, only partially exposed through the access cover? I'm guessing one must remove the entire trunk liner, but wonder what else may be run into after that.
Such good video .. I have a 2011 Buick LaCrosse cxs I need to change battery but I not sure if I want to do it.. can I reset the memory my self and how ?
Thank you! First video I've been able to find in all of my searches that addresses the box onto of the battery!
I need a memory saver? OMG, I changed a battery years ago that was a breeze! Glad I have AAA!
Hi - Thanks for watching and sharing your opinion!
How do you remove the fuse box on the battery? I am having trouble with mine
Does this work for a 2016 buick regal turbo?
I have a 16’ regal turbo. Looks nice but crap gm car. Never again buying American cars

A note for newer vehicles, if your vehicle comes with a Battery Management System (BMS), you will need to reprogram your BMS even if it is the same AH (if it is the same AH your car just needs to know that it has a brand new battery in order to provide it a proper full recharge, however if it has a lower or higher AH or if you are switching from lead acid to Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM), you will most likely need to reprogram it then too).
AH = Amp-Hours = 1,000mAH (m is milli)
Hi - Thanks for watching and sharing your input. Check out our videos on battery registration. The links to them are in this video's description.
I have a 2012 and set up is the same. Where do you get a memory saver? Is it expensive? Any other option for this step?
@@TheBatteryShop Thanks I missed it.
Great video but music is very distracting.
Hi - Thanks for watching and sharing your opinion! We're working on that.
what happens if you dont use a memory saver
Hi - Thanks for watching! This depends on the vehicle. In some vehicles nothing will happen besides a radio or clock having to be reset, and some vehicles will not start without a scan tool reset. We suggest that you check with the vehicle's owner's manual or a service/repair manual for the vehicle to be sure. You can also check out our video on memory saving. The link is in this video's description.
Changed my battery and car won't crank and key is stuck in the ignition
Seems like your car was in gear. Shift into park or Neutral to start and shift to park to release key
Why do the engineers design things so hard to change? So many bolts to remove. I just wanted to find the manufacture date code so I can tell when the battery was replaced since I bought the car from a man who kept no records.
While I Agree, I was happy to hear that it was turned down...not blasting Hip Hop or Metalica.
@@kennethdandurand3472 Update: Sorry if I was rude. Thanks for the video. You have a really good strong back, :-) I hope you take good care of it. I have to get help to remove my battery. I didn't get it replaced when I should have, now I'm in a bind. Almost completely dead. I don't know where to take it and I have several things going on at once. One thing at a time.
I replaced my Dad's battery, thanks to your video. One thing I learned is, I will never buy a GM car. What a project this was just to change a battery. 😡
Hi - Thanks for watching and sharing your experience!
Thanks for the video content! Excuse me for chiming in, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you tried - Trentvorty Safe Vehicle Theorem (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? It is a smashing exclusive product for discovering how to repair your car the simple way minus the headache. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my work colleague after a lifetime of fighting got astronomical success with it.
I was changing the battery and the harness for my mom’s Buick Lacrosse CXL 2009 and it was a pain in the ass. I just ended up using a clamp terminal to the positive end, works just fine since then.
The music is annoying, but the steps were very clear.
Hi - Thanks for watching and sharing your experience!
Why don’t you play some loud distracting music and whisper your instructions?
Hi - Thanks for watching and sharing your opinion! We're working in that.
