I really like Louis, Jon was great of course, but Louis wears his new position like a glove, with a great, bright smile.
Stephen deserved that applause at (4:30), because he is genuinely a funny guy, and he helped us so through some very dark times.
Agree. Love to hear Louis's giggles during the show -- he's actually reacting to and appreciating the content. Jon was more introspective; Louis is more outgoing and interactive, and therefore a better fit for that position. And yes, Jon was (still is!) great.

Louis took a little while to stretch into his new role and get comfortable, but he's really shining now!
Louis gives me a slight Kevin Eubanks vibe in that he has a smiling "shyness" to him and gives genuine laughs to Colbert's jokes.
(However, Eubanks made more joke replies and comments on Leno.)

I wish joke writers got more credits in late-night shows. Seth Meyers has been doing it for a while now and I wish Colbert would do something to highlight their work too.
Different sort of humour. Seth relies on a lot of fourth wall breaks, and calling out joke writers or someone like Wally is a part of that. You’ll sometimes hear the staff laugh at some kind on crew in joke as well.
Stephen has highlighted his writers before. His style is different than Seth's, he'll work them into a sketch.

I doubt it was a large study, and I assumed it had more to do with how the mother FELT about it (chemical changes in response to mild disgust or dislike, and passed through the umbilical cord) than anything else. But yh, of course let's assume the baby hates kale it doesn't taste instead....
