Eilis, fantastic, sympathetic and helpful review of key e-bikes of the moment. Thank you so much for reinforcing the Aitch to a querying society. Great video.
Hi, love your videos! Can you do a video on the Hitbike BK2 foldable electric bike?
Which is best for a senior citizen with poor muscle strength. I live in a very hilly area, don't need speed as much as ability to get up hills without peddling!!. Must be light and foldable.
So I recently brought the ADO Air from Electroheads via their cycle to work scheme.
If you are looking for a folder (or any new bike) I highly recommend using their try before you buy offer. Firstly the folks at Electroheads are amazing, you will get honest opinions of each bike, so even if you can't get to their store, it's still worth having a chat.
After test riding, I was torn between the Estarli E20 and ADO Air, i literally changed my mind 5 times! To be honest there is hardly anything between them. the ride is very similar, E20 more comfortable ride but Air is slightly lighter and has better manoeuvrability, but both are great overall. I would say the main differences (advantages are) are the Air is low maintenance (with the belt drive) and IMO looks nicer vs E20 I hear has excellent customer service (including after purchase) being UK based and will get up big hills better. There are of course other features on both, so enjoy the research into them :)
Took the Air on the train for the first time yesterday, and rode 14/15kms across London each way. Weather was great, route was fun and feeling glad I got my folder from Electroheads.
I still have a few things to nail down with my Air...The fenders are difficult to put on (have the rear on only) and need to master the folding (sometimes it wants to roll over) - both of which I'm sure I will get there. The walk assist on the Air is also quite handy.
GLA
Thank you so much for the incredible message. We’re always here if you need us! 👊🏼
How is the air holding up 2 months later?
Hi.The ADO air 20 is only 1 speed so how does it work for for higher speeds so you are not pedalling like mad ????? Also do they have a throttle?
Awesome! What's the best on the market for tiny folded size, power, versatility with terrains and comfort?
Can never get too much Eilis (especially of her testing the e-bikes!). :)
Oh, there were bikes..?
Are they good for a 4”8’ rider??
I find the easy tolling while folded part very important and wish you’d been able to address that w/ each rather than just the first bike. Motor size and torque also. Not all folders roll well. Thanks.
Mycle compact or estarli e20 pro??
Would love to see a comparison between ADO Air and Fiido D21. Very similar price, similar design, both seem very popular, but i can't seem to find proper comparisons online
00:06 Me when watching Eilis!
I hit like as soon as you questioned the correct pronunciation for aitch. Well done
⚡ *It's numero uno for me* ⚡🤙🏼
Super light, decent range but shocked at how light number 3 is 😲
That fururistic Honbike though 🤩 but maad heavy 😭😭
I saw the ADO AIR20 on CZcams via Tech Tablets (Great Channel) definitely one of my favourites.
It’s a really great ebike for portability!
I’ve ordered the estarli pro based on your reviews. I can’t wait for it to arrive. Thank you for making your reviews simple and straightforward.
Incredible 😍 I'm really excited for you. Make sure to keep us in the loop and let us know how you get on with it.
How is it 8 months later?
Hi hope you are keeping well - I am looking for a foldable electric bike only problem is I'm 148 kgs a Big Boy to say the least I'm not very mobile and looking for an electric bikw I can fold away in the boot - as I think the motor I would need would be over 250 and therefore just looking at off road fat tyre bikes - any advice would be welcomw, apaer from the obvious weight issue
Can you please do a review on Eovolt Morning Electric Folding Bike - 16" Wheel
great content!
I love your channel.
Are you folks affiliated/associated with anybody in the USA, to test drive some of the featured e-bikes?
Video idea: could you check out the carrera vengence e ?
Love the videos
The Onemile Nomad is also light-weight.
Is there any brick-and-mortar store for this ebike in Florida? I might be interested in seizing an opportunity to test it out. Just a few days ago, I had the chance to test ride the M160 Foldtan, and it completely revolutionized my perception of folding ebikes.
You wouldn't like uk ebikes we have tiny 250w motors and no throttle
So annoying the busses here "Stagecoach" u have to fold the bike up and have it in a bag zipped up 🙄☹️
I like that use the wheels to transport it feature.....
Yayy my favourite, Eilish!
Yo what’s the song on the background?
4:31 She got them toothbrush boots, cleaning the pedals off
I like Eilis!
Hello. Which folding e bike would you say is best for bridleways and tracks? Thank you.
Any just replace the tires
No Fiido bikes?
£1300 affordable 😮
😮😢
Thanks for your reviews. I am looking to buy a step-through bike which will give me a long range. I would like a genuine review of a road test and not a manufacturer's claims of how far the range is possible depending on fine-tuning of all factors. There has got to be some average guy that has done a reasonable road test one fine day to be able to submit at least an average result? and not claims of 100km and the usual blah blah you can read that as this or that.
The battery being in the saddle seat is not smart at all, because you can't lock it. Anyone can just take the saddle out and steal it. Meaning you always have to carry the whole saddle and post with you all the time.
is there a good folder that suits a 5 foot tall person?
Any reason why you don’t have time to charge up the batteries and depending how the batteries are made could cost more to charge than others. So there’s more to electric bikes than what people think.
Good reviews, thanks. So you have a 'try before you buy' scheme? So where are you based?
London Bridge in London! Come on down ☺️
@@Electroheads Ah right, I'm in East Yorkshire. Bit of a trek :(
what a mint bird
Devron with 16 inch wheels it's the most affordable foldable e-bike in my humble opinion.
Can’t decide between the estarli and the ado
None of these are affordable ! For affordability, Chinese bikes are the key. Ado A20+ , FIIDO D4s, PVY Z20 pro and samebike 20xlr are some of the affordable foldables which are under £750.
Samebike has 48V 10.4ah while rest are 36V 10.4ah
The Himo Z20 is under £700 and is a good quality bike.
The only reason I wouldn’t go for a Chinese bike is because I don’t want the battery to blow off my roof. Having worked in manufacturing in China for half a decade, the lack of QA from local manufacturers is… just. Yeah.
@@evehg117 you will have very little choice then as almost all bikes use components made in China. Brands like Estarli, Mirider, Mycle may be assembled in Britain but the components are made in China. Apple products are made in China, not all products made in China are of poor quality. The largest lithium battery manufacturer in the world is Chinese and they are at the forefront of battery technology.
How about the Nuibility B14? Almost twice as powerful for £550
@@sergentcolon1 The issue is not where the batteries are manufactured. It’s the lack of quality control from cheaper brands simply because they do not have the budget, which you would’ve noticed if you read my previous comment properly. Apple hires an entire QA team the size of a small town as does most major companies tend to do. If something the Chinese manufacturer produces does not pass their quality control, they will get destroyed. Smaller companies have no QA at all. They will ship anything, including defective batteries.
What about a Mate City bike?
Excellent review, though I think I am going use a kit to make my folding bike into an ebike, since it was only $139
1300 affordable??????
😂😂
Tbh ill just buy a brompton with that money. Ez running
Aye lol...1300 cheap...to some people maybe but f that....1300 may as well learn to drive lmao
Cheaper to buy a 2nd hand car
@conallmclaughlin4545 at that price you'd be forever in a garage paying for repairs
Priced at over 1k .. super affordable 💀✨
I've been riding this bike for about a month czcams.com/users/postUgkxwC0IIeIomGQVeBWg-kKJaToZkLEFIA2W and a half now and I think it's fantastic. It helps me get to work on time every day since I'm able to fit it inside of public transportation rush hour. The price is great too, people are always shocked when they ask me how much I paid for the fold up and I tell them "200". It's easy to fold and installation when it ships is insanely easy. All you have to install when the bike arrives is one foot pedal, everything else is done for you. I do recommend you carry some sort of wrench to tighten any loose screws on the handle bar and seat whenever they get a little bit loose. Other than that I think it's a fantastic bike. Easily fits in the home, can fit inside a car trunk and can even fit in subway rush hour.
7:27 You are correct, H with a hhhhhaytch, not 'AA-tch' 😎
entry level at £1300 notes i will stick to my 40mph dual 2400w scooter cheers 💯
I think I'd go for one of the estarlies
I DiD love it !!
@@bromptinowner763 Why no more?
@andimite2673 should have said " I did go for the 16.7 and I love it !!!
This really highlights the actual "fold-ability" of the Brompton doesn't it. I just can't imagine taking any of these out and about on trains, to cafe's, to the grocery store. They just don't fold all that well. Basically the fold is for storage only imo.
Alba is best e bike
The girl in this video is the town bike
Fiido d2s half the price of these bikes and not a bad little bike .
Can you actually review an actual affordable folding e-bike please? Something like Hitway BK5 that are around £500
Why can’t you guys review the Decathlon 20 Inch Electric FOLDING BIKE btwin 500E?? It’s cheaper at a price of £699.99 🤷🏻 With the cost of living, £1200+ is a tad too much for some people.
Generally in the ebike industry you get what you pay for, both in terms of build quality and longevity. We'd rather prioritise products we think will last and are worth investing in. I'm sure there are plenty of user reviews and other CZcams videos out there on this product if it's something you're interested in!
@@Electroheads
At least Decathlon have some type of after sales service, and over 100 stores in the UK!
What do the manufacturers of your bikes offer?
@@agfagaevartGot a road bike from decathlon 8 years ago good shimano spec and a nice frame however the wheels were rubbish. They did replace the front wheel but rear failed just out of guarantee It still wasn't bad price even with the additional cost of replacement entry level shimano hubbed wheels I till have it for my 10 mile commute without issue. I would look at all the parts of the bike carefully and add up the cost.
The problem with these ebikes from China is you get one then 12months later no parts available and a battery you cannot replace you are better off with a kit conversion at least you can find a new battery
Just adverts now for their shop
That's a non-constructive comment... the fact that they offer these bikes for sale is only a good thing. If you think they're not talking about other good quality bikes that are similarly priced, please do share the names of such bikes.
@@aliasgharkhoyee9501ignore this idiot, he is just commenting on almost every video chatting nonsense about “integrity” and “advertising”. in fact he is pretty much acting like a whining toddler 😂😂
U think they do this channel cause they're bored?
@@aliasgharkhoyee9501 ah yes good point. So if Apple do an advert for their phones that's good and them saying their phones are great is very independent. This is the same. I get it's a business and they need to make money but they should be reviewing these bikes a little more critically otherwise it is just a sales channel.
@@brendywatson I don't think so. But a good question. I'll ask them next time they put up an advert (sorry independent unbiased review)
aw.. No MIRIDER 😅
lmao who added the Sam Hyde clip 😂
Jeez - Engwe's low-cost line-up completely ignored again!
Paul G
Engwe far better if you ask me
Expensive and slow but cute.
She said the letter, “Hey-ch” 😂
We've been giving Eilis lessons on this after this video.
Affordable is the magic word he he
Looking at those prices I can see why people go for a kit, and why company are so eager to encourage the idea that only a specifically manufactured ebike is safe.
Even that helmet seems a bit pricy.
A helmet is generally poly inner with a semi hard outer, you can get a nice cycle helmet with a light fitted in it for around 20 pounds and with for less, so what makes this helmet worth 135 pounds.
But these bike only go 15 mph why are they so expensive?
hold on...the estarli foldable is heavier
than the e28.8? WOW
oh wait..second is 14.5
All is well again lol
none of your links ever work.
Even if you're giving it to me, and even if it's actually "good" (as you claim) I'm not sure I want "food for fought", tyvm. 😆
Sorry, tickled me, had to poke (I LITERALLY had no alternative options).
Fat tire non folders are better, just saying! 💯
Sure, sweetie!
lot of chinese bikes, no focus on repairability and long term functionality. Essential for a bicycle.
my local bike repair shop frequently complains about the part availability of chinese bikes. such a shame i can't find experienced dutch reviewers..
I remember when motorcycles cost this much ffs.
Everything way too expensive. Literally just to line pockets.
Stay on topic damn
estarli ahoy....h'again lol
"reasonably priced" = £1,000+ T_T
The edits really irritate me on these reviews Its made by a media student who missed their way in life and as for the info....we dont all live in the city how about saying how they handle hills or quirky stuff ...are they hackable for top speed, what brakes or gears they use? how do they braking handle or feel what are they missing how could they be impoved ... suspension maybe or mentioning lights clearly these things aint a thing for you - oh and how about comparrisons with other bikes like fiido or something or even each other and hows about telling us what you think the best one actually is and as for the addo air you missed the best features of the bike whichis the tourque sensor - and can these bikes do throttle only? Such a poor review it really is - do you list best place to buy or discount either?
These bikes screams "tell me you want a EUC without telling me you want a EUC" to me.
How do you know if somebody rides an EUC? They'll tell you!
Yeah it's spelt " aitch "
There's more than just bikes in this video for me to "feast my eyes on" 🤤
'Affordable'
Not a single one sub-£1k 🙄
More car reviews please.
Your definition of "affordable" is expensive to me and many others it seems 😂
Those don’t seem affordable at all to me
I thought you said "affordable"?!?
You have to have like a spare £1200 you don’t need, then it’s affordable
My thought exactly.. affordable I was thinking £500 maybe £600 and below
too expensive
Love the idea of foldable bikes, but I think the frame designs on all of them are always so ugly.
Complete BS!
Any ebike which is above £1,000 is NOT affordable.
Why don't you feature the Btwin 500e which is 700 quid?
Or the ADO A20+ which goes for about 800 sovs?
Even Halford's Carrera is going for 900 nicker!
You leave these companies out because they are not paying you?
Engwe engine pro far better than these
I wish you would drop all the silly stuff and just get on with the reviews.
How are these affordable you can buy a car cheaper
Affordable, but All over £1200?🤔.
You're obviously a highly paid journo who doesn't live in the real world.
For most people, affordable means less than £ 500- 1000.
I challenge you to make a video of THE BEST/ Cheapest sub £750 folding bike with 20" Wheels.
Care to take the challenge?
Don't bother guys every bike she mentions is over £1000. I'll keep looking for something that's ACTUALLY affordable.
“Affordable” is different for everyone. If it’s too expensive for you, that doesn’t make it too expensive in general. Hope this helps!
@@MzShonuff123 Anything under £600 would be worth a look. :)
All these bikes are stupid money!!
Surely you made this affordable video for bill gates and jeff bezos and saudi prince's family
How can you call an E-Cycle that does max 15miles per hour (needs recharging after 30miles) affordable at £1300 budget lowest model and its still pedal assist
Tell me you didnt smoke spliff before making this video
Whats next a video from you saying
This cyxle has a pedal either side, 2 wheels both inflated, and a chasis that has handle bars at dirt cheap £25000. And if you go for the top model at £75000, you get colour choice of black or white and a plastic seat.
This cycle can help your heart , blood circulation , your digestion and extend your life expectancy and help the enviornment . ( shhh dont tell anyone, to manufacture and maintain and promote and employees commuting and electricity for cherging uses non reneweable source of energy like coal. )
Just believe it helps your joint and helps envirnment you using cycle that cost £100 to make in china or india is being sold for £1500 here and as if you make huge difference in enviornment
That is one ugly bike
To much the price
"The 250W motor.."
Literally the only motor you're going to find, because it's illegal to have anything more in the UK and it's not even logical to have an ebike with less than that. Buzz words, meaningless.
