Rip U-ROY🇯🇲💪 GO THERE NATTY forever
Me too ‼️I first listened to it at age 23
I remembered as a teen, I used to listen to I Roy, U Roy, Dilinger and Observer in Lagos and Oshogbo. These are timeless reggae. Great Post planetolusola.
Evergreen classic. Rest on King.
RIP king U-Roy
Repose en paix . Toutes L'AFRIk te pleure. Les meilleurs ne savent pas que tu es décédée
Uroy was at his best here. Looking at him now in his old age, it is hard to tell he sang this great. Despite the time span, I still love the heck out of this music! It defines my childhood and growing up!!!
I have this album in my collection....I remember back in the day when we used to attend the Literary and debating society day at various secondary schools in Lagos. This song reminds me of the lit day I attended at Methodist girls high school that would have been around 1977! That was fun!!
Mémorable U Roy. Souvenirs souvenirs.
vraiment la musique de mon enfance je n'avais que 6ans dite moi s'il vie encore
God bless for giving us what was the good life not just in Nigeria but West Africa mid to late 70s. Who can forget this? Thank you again.
Thanks for this music. Memory of some years back as a child with this music.
Nostalgie! Un des best !
God bless Jamaica and all the music legends that brought us us so much joy!!!!!!!!
Que la terre lui soit léger et paix à son âme
@SUGAKANE1 Yes man, West Africa rocked heavily to this song, heavily! I remember a night stop as a young commercial pilot in Warri, mid-western Nigeria when a record shop put on this record and played it loud and all the children in the area I was passing screamed with delight and ran on to the street, dancing - they sang every delay in the song "go there Natty- dre-dre-dre-dre", and you should see the young girls "cut their waist" when it came to the voice & percussion. U-Roy is big in Africa!
Vraiment merci beaucoup u roy,souvenir d'enfance

A CLASSIC THAT WILL NEVER GET OLD!

Ya man ✊👊✌
Ok
Reggae is a jungle ... want to know that jungle ... start to listen. No time? Pity for you. Besides that you have the toast versions, versions versions, toast versions over dub versions on reggae rhythms and vice versa ... enjoy. Last but not least the quantity of music from the 70's era is large.
I think Observer had that tune with the chorus" you got to leave them alone" Bad Reggae Jam bro..Would love to get my ears on that..
Natty dread oh man
No doubt. Nigerians in the 70s party scene remember Observer, Go There Natty Dread, etc...
bolajiutube Can't beat those golden days! Thanks.
Baby na today 😂
Kadiatou Bah viens chanter ça chez moi
Na definitely today. Today na Today
😂😂😂😂
Question: I had heard a reggae music song of which I do not know the name nor the artist: the introduction of the song was:
"Big shot, is all you've got!"
Of which was shouted with dynamic power through a reverb, or echo chamber mix, before the song/music begins. The rhythmic style is that of the mid 1970's or of the 1970's era, with the rhythmetic off beat skank rhythm guitar style, consisting of some singing and spoken lyrics.
If anyone is familar with such, please indicate. Thanks
I bought a dub version on 45 some forty years ago.
What do the lyrics say? (I’m not Jamaican 😿)
I hear “ Go deh natty dread cause we ‘heavier than lead...”
had this album stolen 2 yr ago, near mint :'( ♥♡
@magennis9 I believe U-Roy is available in on itune.
Somebody speed it up, original track is slower. Besides U-Roy voice is lower in tone.
