I love the castle in the middle of the Town Centre. I love Ireland, very similarly designed to England. I'm from England btw. X

Wonder why the designs are so similar, must be proximity!

I live in the middle of Clonmel, and I love it! I moved here for work. Nice quiet place to live and not ridiculous rent pries like Dublin, Limerick or Cork. Has all the main shops you need, and cities aren't far nor is the coast.

Lots of prysbetherians (members of church of Scotland) were moved down there in the 1700s for rejecting the British crown

Last time I visited Clonmel Superquinn just opened in the shopping precinct, noticed it’s closed on video, retail unit to rent. Very few shops left on the High St from the old days, Hickey’s remains near the Gate, has Clinton’s drapery store closed?

Hey everyone my name is Josh this is not my fone using a friend's fone mine is broken I travel around Ireland just visiting just towns giving the town I visit marks out of ten I'm from Drogheda I mark towns on parks shopping prices things to do and in general the people who live in these towns give me there opinion I I give my own opinion here we go with clonmel for me clonmel haven't big name shops not enough streets were cars don't drive in the town centre is bang avarage the streets and side walls are in poor state not much to do especially for visiting family's in fact it like it is stuck in the 1980ies needs a whole make over the pot holes are everywhere town centre is nothing like other big towns bang avarage people are nice and cafes are few and far between it's just a boring this month I visited four towns Mullingar same as clonmel avarage Ennis nice town gave Ennis a six out of ten and finally I visited Athlone have it a six aswell I gave clonmel four out of ten I don't blame these towns for looking so bad as I believe the government gives far mor money to invest in town centers and I believe that towns outside Dublin and Leinster ate totally forgotten in less your a tourist town then they will invest money in tourists towns like Killarney for example suppose to be one of the nicest towns in Ireland I visited Killarney and found it to be your bang of the mill avarage town nothing special but it does have the lakes and mountains outside of it witch brings in loads of yanks Germans and old English visitors in fact your falling over these visitors and if your not am over seas visitor the people of Killarney don't treat you the same found Killarney people very fake who pride them self's on the lakes I asked Killarney people about Kerry's capital Tralee and all told me stay away from Tralee a rough town with loads of crime and drugs I found it strange another town would say this about another town in Kerry there's a saying in Killarney that Tralee is Killarneys poorer and it's ugly cousin so I decided to visit Tralee for the weekend and was pleasantly surprised it had lovely Georgian streets a fantastic town centre very modern big name shops huge town park a wet land with boats for kids a lovely aqua some with slides into a big pool beautiful canals loads of stuff to do with families and best of all far far cheaper than Killarney a cup of tea and bun in Killarney cost me ten euros the same thing in Tralee three fifty and you were treated different with a smile even tough you weren't a over seas visitor I found Killarney people very fake just want your money and when I asked the Tralee people about Killarney town the response was different they told me Killarney was a nice place to visit even tough Tralee people no what Killarney people say about there own town if Tralee Tralee people are more down to earth there's so much to do there Atlantic Ocean on it door step mountains biker trails scare board center for kids with scare boards and BMX bikes and the town center is the best I've seen trough out Ireland very modern loads of cafes bug name shops and outside the town a huge shopping center with loads of big British shops Very surprised it has its own lakes couple of miles outside town called glentanasic not as big as Killarneys lakes but just as nice and lovely river walks in the town and open soon there's a lovely green way between Tralee and debit port open soon and debit is beautiful it's about ten kl long ya so loads of stuff to do in this town well worth a visit with the rose of Tralee in August aswell and don't forget the town park and wet lands have to go there if you have a family in my opinion Tralee way more exciting and cheaper and nicer people aswell out if ten I give it a big nine only thing letting it down is no boats on the canals but told there comming soon next towns to visit are Sligo and letterkenny and Athlone tell you what Tralee will be hard to beat at least you won't be falling over alias if yanks and Germans taking fotos of shop fronts won't be going to rip off Killarney again I really hope the local community get behind doing up clonmel because the government doesn't care about towns outside of Leinster
