Create a Subway Station in Blender 2.8 (Eevee)

  • In this tutorial you will learn how i managed to create a subway station.
    This video is divided into 3 halves the first half is about modelling from
    00:52-10:49
    then the second half include assigning materials and texturing from
    10:49-18:35
    the last one includes lighting , Irradiance volume ,reflection cube map,
    particles system and volumetric lights.

    at 2:00 you can use shift+R to repeat last action instead of manually placing each duplicate. :) cool stuff!

    Great tutorial Saqib.
    As a 6 month Blender user, it was surprisingly easy for me to follow your workflow with this kind of intermediate tutorial format. Your info's were spot on, right time, right information, and your workflow is really fast and estructured. There is plenty of new techniques I've learned just watching this video.
    Hope to see more of these, keep up the good work.
    (I was going to make a constructive criticism that you should had a background instrumental music so the video feel more organic, but I find it better without the music so we could follow the video listening to our own playlist)

    Hi thank you so much for sharing! Lovely results. Just wondering if you know about the add-on Node wrangler, it saves you a lot of trouble importing texture packs. with Ctrl Shift T it will set up everything for you in the shading tab!

    Thank you very much for a demonstration on how great looking stuff can be made in Blender, using relatively basic procedures.
    I found it rivetting.
    And while we are on the subject of “rivetting”, I find that a certain level of realism makes everything stand out.
    You are making a number of columns presumably made of steel H-beams. And then you plaster them with rivets. Loads of rivets. In places where rivets would never be. Even on the edges of the steel. Loads of rivets. Masses of them. In absolutely nonsensical places.
    Apart from that, I really liked your tutorial, and thank you for your effort.

      Thanks for liking my tutorial but its not finished yet its a work in progress , the thing is i did not pay attention while I was blocking the mesh just wanted to show how it can be build in blender .

      thanks its easier to in blender just hit shift + ~ (tilde) then tab to toggle gravity. Then simply use w,a,s,d keys to walk around.

      @@Kefka03 In the end I un-checked the soft shadows option . But you can use it while rendering the image or animation to have more precision in your shadows.

    If you press Shift + R, it will repeat the last action. this means by duplicating and moving something, you can press Shift R to duplicate and move it the exact same way again

    Little tip but have you thought about adding visual shortcuts to the tools you're using so people can follow more easily. noticed a few tutorials doing this now.

      I have used screen cast for my recent video tutorials . This one was done when blender was updating it version and addons were not working due to compatibility issues.
