He sounds just like his Daddy... omg... What a talent he is!!!!
Definitely has his own sound listen to Chris live
You on drugs? Sounds nothing like him.
We lost Chris far too early, and you just know Ned feels it more than any of us, you can hear the emotion in his voice here, this song is just special and hearing it living on through Chris' son is just amazing.
Chris was the real thing and music lost someone that could have kept it pure
@@robertbowen6610 My best friend, a brother in all but blood, passed almost at the exact time Chris did. He played almost all LeDoux in his truck and when at home. He rode until his body wouldn't let him, then he joined the VFD and he's why I joined my VFD. He and Chris will likely be singing and joking for a few million years once we're all home with God. When I lived near Tx Motor Speedway, we were just down the street from the Minicks (sp?) who owned part of Billy Bob's. I helped Pam load a horse that wasn't listening, and she gave me reserved tickets to Chris' last show at BBT, I'll never forget that night.
I was surprised to hear of his father's passing. I thought he was still rocking and kicking ass. He was so cool.
In 77 I bought a tape off Chris Ledoux at Cheyenne frontier days. He sold them off the tail gate at the rodeo. His songs were on the local bar juke boxes. He was the real deal cowboy.
Ned is making his daddy proud.
Your dad would be very proud of you for the justice you've done to his song.
Chris LeDoux was a hard act to follow and is surely missed. It’s great hearing his music carry on.
Ned’s been killing it for years. Be sure to support his original music as well.
I'm gonna look for it.
Ditto
Oh yeah definitely support his music not just him singing his dad's cause he makes some killer music that's great all on its never mind who his dad was. Ned has earned the right to be loved for his own individual talent. His father definitely is proud of his and smiles everyday❤
I'm sad to say I didn't know until today that Chris even had a son, let along that Ned was killin it. I'll be looking for all of his stuff.
Cheyenne WY native, this is a wonderful tribute to his pops. Just LeDoux it!
Interestingly enough my father had the same autoimmune/liver condition Chris suffered from. My dad was blessed to receive a transplant and is still with us. Never take for granted those you love.
30 years ago August 1993 I saw his dad play at our county fair. August 2023 I will watch Ned LeDoux play at our county fair. He has legend in his blood.
Beautiful and a little heart breaking. Your dad was amazing, and so are you!
Hello Misty 👋 how are you ??
Hello 👋, how are you?
you are so right we will all miss him
You do your dad proud. His Cowboy and singing legacy are both living well in your hands.
I can hear some of your dad in you when you sing.
I was thinking the same thing. There were several times he sounded just like his dad!.
Agreed
Definitely
Agree. Made many of rodeo miles with your Dad onboard
Dam right he’s good
This is the first time I’ve ever known Chris had a son let alone a musical icon in his son Ned but I will definitely check him out! I can definitely hear his father voice in his music but he has a little twist to it which totally makes it his own! I’m aware and impressed all at once!
God this is amazing. 28 yrs ago when I moved to PA from NY I started to get into country. Chris Ledoux "Under this ole hat" was my first cd and I fell in love with it all. I miss Chris as we all do. Seeing his son follow in his father's footsteps is so moving. Thank You all lovers of country.
I get chills everytime I hear this song and this was no exception. Thanks Ned.
Hi Jenny, how are you?
I love this song your Dad is a legend of country music ❤️❤️🤠🤠🎸🎸❤️❤️
One of the best songs ever written.
It was originally a Porter Wagoner song.
Western music. Huge difference.
Dad would have been proud. I felt the blood rush to my head, same as ever time I heard your Dad sing it.
Thank you Dimples! We all appreciate you respecting your roots and will support you through any genre you choose to pursue. It doesn’t break my heart to see your daddy in you.
Oh my Word. He sounds just like His Dad ..
Love this Song, My Husband Used To Say There Are 3 Things You Never Mess With That Belongs to a COWBOY..
1. His Hat..
2. His Woman
3. His Ride
As you can see in the picture of us He Was a Cowboy....
Loved the Dad, now am wanting more from the son. May Ned's career be a successful one .
I can't get past only hearing this song after your fathers passing, and seeing you do a rendition of it. You have done your father proud among all the fans New and Old!!!
I watched your Dad in El Paso, TX in 1986 and to this day it was one of the BEST concerts I have ever seen. THE SHOW MANS SHIP (HIGH ENERGY) was what made it so GREAT!!!!!!
Probably one of the best country songs of all time you made your daddy proud
My father used play guitar with Chris LeDoux during some rodeos in Ten Sleep Wy. Ned did a great job on this song. Keep it up.
@Country Rebel Thank You for having the Great Phenomenal Country Singer & Bronc Ridin Cowboy Mr.Chris LeDoux
Had the pleasure to see Ned ride Fort Worth a double handful of years ago. The other day this song came on the radio in my truck. I cranked it up. It was " Open Road". After couple bars, I said out loud, That's gotta be Ned. God bless Ned and his family. This performance, well it was a " winning ride".
Your dad would be proud of this! Keep singing, we can hear him in you.
Love this song; Your Dad left us to soon, but he would be Sooo Proud of you carrying on his Legacy of telling stories in your songs...listening to you is almost like hearing him again; Great Job, Ned!!!🎶👍🎸🤠
Thanx Ned 4 the tears. Ur daddy took the time after rodeo in Ogden UT. Way back in 78 he gave confidence to a young farm kid on enjoying n sharing what means most in where u come from n how U portray ur mannerisms. Great memz bud thanx it was beautiful

GOD Bless you, and God Bless Mr. Chris Ledoux. Im 56 n Im brushing tears away, and Im damn sure Garth is too.
I'm 55 and basically a waterfall right now in tears. This song meant a lot to My Dad (Vietman vet) and it hits right in the gut.
Just as good as his dad. I met chris ledoux after a concert he did in west oklahoma back in 91 or 92. The best live stage show i ever saw.
Garth admitted he stole Chris' show.
Watched Chris perform at Pendleton roundup in the 80’s, I was just a young buck, but he quickly became one of my favorites, played that cassette tape over and over. Good job Ned
Your dad's music saved my life a lifetime ago, he was a genuine good soul, and I can admit that as I hear a bit of your dad in your voice, I am shedding a tear remembering what this song did for me...
Oh wow! He sounds just like his dad! Brought tears to my eyes.
Every bit as good as his dad and every bit his own man. God bless Ned LeDoux!
not even close ...Chris was more talented vocally and more expressive with his vocals..This cover is all monotone and bland..maybe give him some new electronics to help his vocals but this acoustic setting isn't his forte
@@janeames1513 Wow LOL
@@janeames1513 I bet you're awfully fun at parties....or just plain awful.
Wow, fantastic son!! You have your Daddy's talent. Very impressive! Emotional!! 🤟🏼

That's HOW UR DADDY DID IT !!! GREAT !!!! HOW COUNTRY MUSIC SHOULD BE !!! THANK YOU
Mighty great lyrics. I feel the same about my ol' cowboy hat. It was my pawpaw's Stetson that dates to the 1950s, and I still wear daily.
I still wear the first good wool hat my dad bought me some 33 years ago.
Every day….feels like an old friend.
What a wonderful young man, so like his Dad talent like his incredible Dad.
You’re mighty good ole son. We loved you’re pa the Evercowboy.
Absolutely awesome!
Awesome. I loved his dad.
I was introduced to your dad's music back in the early 1980's. I was in the U.S. Navy, one of my best friends from that time was a small Wyoming cowboy. I'm 6 feet 3 inches so most people I think of as small best guess he was around 5 feet 6 or 7 inches. He turned me on to your father's music, I am hoping you can add to my collection of music of his with your own songs of cowboys and redeo life. Please keep a little of the west a live for this old eastern city boy.
Greatest country musician to ever do it

Awesome Buddy Great Job
I live in SE Tx and I am a motorcycle enthusiast. I have ridden for a lot of years. I own 3 Harleys and enjoy riding. There is no way I would disrespect a Cowboy, Farmer or Rancher. In the area I live there are a lot of farms and ranches. We share the bars and restaurants with everyone in peace. Without Ranches and Farms we are screwed unless you produce it yourself.
Wonderful tribute to you Daddy. We miss him.
Ned Keeping your fathers legacy, Sure miss the ole Guy he was what he was, and your making him Proud.
Hey Ned! I used to run live audio in SD when you played with Dustin. I always loved the part of the show when you came out and sang, just you and a guitar. And a hat. It was an honor mixing for you. For those that don't know, Ned is a drummer, and a total monster on the kit. Keep playin.
Thank u man Keep your father memory alive
