I was watching these Dumpster Divers going stores dumpsters, on. CZcams. These companies throw out food, clothing, beauty products, toys, Christmas Decorations, all kinds of stuff after Christmas. It’s all Christmas items and they throw it out! Thank You Michaels for NOT adding these items to our landfills! These Nation wide companies don’t Donate it to agencies that help the people that could benefit for those items. It’s CRAZY! Thank you Michaels!
What do you think happens to the stuff that people buy? I doubt if it gets used. Ends up in landfills and michael's doesn't even have to spend money/ time to dump all of it.

I had some ornaments years ago with the wrong year and I just hot glued different colored bows I made from curling ribbon. They turned out great.

What a beautiful haul you got at Micheal's. Never see the grab bags around here. One person probably buys them all. Love the tin angel wings esp. My Dad is a WW2 veteran. He will be 90 on Feb 4th. He has been in and out of the hospital and nursing home for rehab several times since summer. He's home now so my sister cares for him. He'll be going to join Mom before long. Just wanted to be home when he passes. Your videos brighten my day and I thank you so much for sharing with us. God bless you Jenny!!

Becky Hayes I am in a very similar situation. My Dad was diagnosed with cancer lung and bone - never smoked so it was a terrible shock. He is fighting and hanging in there. He will be 85 in March. Sadder for me is my Mom. She went in the hospital on Christmas Eve - to rehab - back to hospital and probably won't leave the hospital. She has a very aggressive blood disease. She would be 80 on February 24 - we were planning a party now I fear it will be a very very hard day to get through. Blessings to you and your family.
Laura, i'm so sorry to hear about both of your parents medical problems. My Mom's been gone 13yrs and it just about killed me. I still cry and want her. It happened so fast. My Dad has been progressively getting worse for years with heart failure. But there is no good way to lose a parent or any loved one. The worst for me was losing a Grandchild and seeing my daughter mourn. That's part of living. We have got to give all of it over to Jesus for He is our only comfort in knowing that we will someday be reunited with our loved ones. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Laura I pray your parents both have a pain free and comfortable end of life and that you can have the strength that you need to help them anyway you can while caring for yourself. God bless you.
Becky Hayes I lost my daughter in 2007 just 20 days before her 13th birthday. It was an accident so once again it was sudden. When my mom went to ER with pain on Christmas Eve we were first told she had severe arthritis in her spine. We figured she'd be home on meds for Christmas Day. Never came home and has out of nowhere very aggressive lukemia. Got worse by the day. We are having the papers drawn up in the morning to put her in Hospice. She will not wake up ever again and will only suffer. We made her funeral arrangements today. I said Ma if you can hear me - look for Ashlyn (my daughter) now. She'll take care of you - it's okay to go to her. She's been with Jesus a long time now so she'll show you around. Go to your granddaughter. I hope she does. Prayers for you too. You know EXACTLY what I am going through. I am sorry for that. XO

Use the big basket to put those big Christmas balls in for a table at your entrance or a coffee table decoration. So many ideas.

Hi. I never heard of this before. So when I came across your video I was so amazed.Now I've been checking out my micheals. Well surprise to me they had only 1left. It was torn open and it was only 3jars . So I didn't buy it. I'm now looking forward to when they have more. Can't hardly wait. Thanks for introducing ducing me to this great grab.
if you still have the 2017 ornaments, you could do something like make little bows out of ribbon (maybe a green and red plaid ribbon would be cute!!) and hot glue them on to cover the year.. or even little holly berries if you had any in your poinsettias or cover them with little red and green buttons or anything christmas related.. or if you didn't want to use them as frames, you could glue on larger flowers or pinecones and little sprigs of pine. you could even spra paint them and turn them into whole other ornaments, using them as the base to make something completely new! same for the ornaments and little stockings with the letters on them! :)
I wish our michels had these grab bags. I would love to find some grab bags with christmas ornaments. My favorite time of year.
I’m in shock still abt this , this is my second video I’m watching and I’d literally cry, to be able to get this deal. As much as my family of 5 need a lot of things, it would be cool gifts bc I can never afford to buy for family and friends and what was left is a shelter down the street that we could donate to. Hint about the extra large Christmas balls some people decorate their house by putting on tables , coffee tables , centerpiece on dining room or on shelves put in baskets or big bowls. I absolutely loved them and the angel you were going to put your dads pic in.. beautiful idea.

My mom and I went to 2 Michaels today , spent $96 on grab boxes and got 515 pieces that retailed for over $4000! Thank you for letting us know! You rock!

I love those deer’s I’d put on my mantle all yr around, I love the peacock looking boxes. This wooden boxes I’d paint, just love this stuff! We’re big on Christmas time here. So many deer heads..yesss!
The material items you got like the stockings, you can get a seam ripper in the sewing accessories stuff at Walmart and take the letters off if you want to. They only cost around $1 :)

The shaver ornament would also be great for a teen boy marking a milestone of his first shave :) I always give my kids an ornament marking a milestone from that year. Then we look back at all the fun that things from the year or places they've been to when we decorate our tree. Love it when I find the grab bags at Michael's woo hooo!!
We sometimes receive dated ornaments that have a photo slot as gifts. I usually let them go a couple years before finally bothering to put a photo in but if it says “2015” or etc. I just eventually find a picture from that year to stick into it. I always have extras of our yearly family photo card so I’ll usually just cut that years card up for the ornament(assuming it fits)
Sew or glue patches over the letters on the stockings, make wreaths with the Christmas ball ornaments and flowers.
You could use the bulb ornaments to make ornament wreaths to sell. You could also use pointsettas to make wreaths too.
For the stockings with letters on them you could attach a cute iron on over the letter and use it as an ornament or something to go along with a gift(gift card holder attached to a bottle of wine or the like.
Just collect your favorite pictures from 2017 and enjoy your memories :)
The big Christmas balls can go in a bowl or box to decorate or on a mantel with some greenery

Christmas tree ornaments are frames. You put a photo every Christmas of a loved one. Child, parent etc. For example, as the years go by they can show their children what they looked like. That is why the year is on the frame.
Jennifer, I would have loved to have gotten the deer heads!!! I make Centerpieces and Christmas Centerpieces are my favorite! I would make nice ones with those and sell at my craft fairs. You hit jackpot with those!

Hi! Someone may have already stated this because I'm a year later watching this video (lol - sorry, came up in my recommendeds and I'm binge watching Michaels grab bag hauls) Since the 2017 portion of the ornaments is just a charm, you could very easily remove those and it would just be a picture frame ornament. That's such a great deal! I hope I can run in to some of these at my Michael's here soon!!
I would LOVE to live close to a Michael’s store. I Love their Christmas stuff & I Love DIYing & I hear they have everything. I would loose my mind in that store if I ever got to go.
I don't have one close by either. I have to go at least an hour away to get to one. All I can say is WOW on these $4 bags. I couldn't afford hardly any of these things that she got.

Hey Jenny! Those little stockings are still useable. Just hang them with the letter to the back. Or take a stich ripper to the embroidery and pull the threads. O and those angel wings. Don't even. I'm beyond jealous. But I still like you. Great haul!

I did my 1st grab bags this year. Didn't have any bags, I got 3 boxs I got close to 1000 for 16.
Went to a different store had boxs a few bags. Well I got the bag cause it had 2 tons in it I wanted.
Went to hobby lobby when they were 90% off. Spent 75 saved close to 600.
Had a blast...
With my Christmas bulbs, I took the end off and using dowelling and gorilla glue, I put the wooden dowel in the hole and glued it there. Then insert the ball on the end of the dowel into homemade outdoor planters. This really works well. Just make sure to get the right size dowelling.
I really love that Christmas sign, it matches those Christmas ornaments, 😍
You can take Christmas pictures that you have from 2017 and put in your 2017 ornaments.
Give out a couple of the picture hangers with your giveaways. Since they are 2017 people should put their past Christmas pictures in them. Just a thought!

You can glue something over the stocking letters and take the 2017s off and use those for DIYs and GAs...... ;) I LOVE the large wings, the wings with a star stand, the reindeer, the boxes and everything after that!!!

The bulbs in the large containers would also be neat to just display in those containers during the holidays. Just take all the sticker tags off.

I think the $10 ornaments are great! The razor and hair dryer are two that I love. The frame ornaments are ugly, but someone could add a picture from 2017 if she liked them... I do not know why the deer heads have gotten popular, but you certainly have plenty of them. For such a low price, it is worth it to take a chance.

You could use those little frames to put pics of your kids, grand kids pictures in them and hang them on the tree next year or give them as gifts next year.

Give that razor to your barber. Paint the mailbox and use it for a bird house. I use a 4 foot tree at Christmas time using poinsettias to decorate my daddy's grave. Those beaded boxes are so pretty. Nice.
Give the flowers in pots as gifts to friends. Us some of the flowers on the dollar store wreaths. Just some in a bunch or fill it with red flowers and add some Christmas balls for sparkle. Oh yeah give the ornaments to friends. Paint over the 2017 then cover up with a sprig of greenery.

I bought 7 boxes and 3 bags .. my haul was $2003.86.. it had tons of arts and crafts for Halloween and flowers a couple of hanging chalkboards and baskets. This was my first time. Looking forward to Xmas grab bags😊💜

you have an awesome store! some of the higher priced bulkier items were $4 each. i had to have the mailbox and paid $8 for it 2 weeks ago. the 1 set of pastel balls match the holly jolly sign! i'm putting the smaller angel wings with pictures of my daddy too!

Wow that's a lot. Last year I got lots of Christmas flower picks and ornaments so this year I put them on top of presents instead of bows they turned out really cute

Our neighbors decorated their pine tree with the large balls outside. Their tree is about 25 feet tall. It looked awesome.
If you have a large enough porch you could decorate with the Christmas flowers especially when it snows without worry; the red would look pretty against the white. The two tones of the small green bulbs could be used to make ball wreaths to contrast and accompany the red of the flowers and the white of the snow, just a thought. I guess you can complain about spending $4 for a bag full and getting frames you can cut the year tags off that originally cost $5 to $9 (and you have about $100 worth or more). The frames with permanent '2017' and deer attached suggestion: '2017' can be covered with something (bling or whatnot) attached with E6000 and the frames glued together to form a box without backs and the glass left in that could hold a candle for next year or spray paint to make the deer heads. That would take care of 4 to 5 (10 if you make two candle holders) of those frames at least. If you glued a deer head to one of the frames you could set it on top of the box and use a battery operated tea-light or use to box treats. Just suggestions. I wish I was able to drop $4 and get surprises but I am stationed over seas and there are no Michaels. Maybe donate those poinsettias to the Christmas boxes sent to soldiers deployed next Christmas.
