This is a frame that needs no introduction.

Got the same white frame and it looks just awesome. Bought one of the first when it came out. Took some time to get along with it, but I really love it and its honest character.

Hi Paul! I ended up selling it but I still have a V1 Swiss Cross in my stable. I have it in the nice black paintjob with the WCS rings. That’s a classic look.
I would imagine the V1 and V2 would share the same ride qualities, which is just sublime. I haven’t heard of any negative feedback from anyone who has experienced the Ritchey ride quality. It’s buttery smooth, lively, and stiff where it needs to be.
The only advantage of the V2 over the V1 that I can think of are as follows:
1. It has flat mount brake mounts which is the modern standard now. (Vs. the V1’s post mount)
2. Wider tire clearance up to 700x x 42mm

What size do you recommend for 5’8” height? For the swiss cross?
You should try a medium! But I would highly recommend that you check the geometry chart in the Ritchey website so you can assess it more accurately. Everyone’s built different.
