The almost-misplay with the wave patterns early on in the first map reminded me about how in the ocean, Rogue Waves form from overlapping small waves of different speeds meeting at a single point. The way that they can suddenly just form, slam into ships with no warning at all, and then vanish in what seems to be otherwise relatively calm waters is properly terrifying.
I love how they were considered a myth for centuries until they were actually scientifically observed by couple of decades ago!
@@TheLordPage Right!? It's _crazy_ how long things like that can be something that's known about but officially unconfirmed. The ocean has the most of those sorts of things, since we explored on it for ages, but it's still full of mysteries.
I've wondered if some stories of ancient sea monsters were from encounters with large squid attacking boats, since they would assume they were whales before large boats became larger, faster, and more commonplace at the surface. Things like that are harder to confirm beyond conjecture even when we know things like giant & colossal squid exist.
Rogue Waves weren't necessarily considered myths, as there have been numerous accounts of them occurring all over the world for centuries; but because they're so rare (you need a pretty nasty storm and then a lot of bad luck in order to encounter one), cameras are a fairly new invention so they'd never been caught, and conventional mathematical models said they were next to impossible, the scientific community didn't take it very seriously.
That is, until in 1995 measuring equipment on a gas pipeline support platform near Norway caught an impossibly huge 'green water' wave (dense waves that are all water, as opposed to simply spray which is largely air) forming out of seemingly nowhere and smacking into the rig during a storm, causing some minor damage (read: stripping the paint off the pylons) before vanishing again without a trace. The wave was called the Draupner Wave after the name of the platform. Rogue waves have been recorded on camera and other equipment a few times since, by similar platforms and cargo ships, there's even a couple clips on YT that are bizarre to watch.
The inverse of a rogue wave, called a 'rogue hole' can theoretically also happen - they've been reproduced in laboratory settings - but they haven't been caught in a similar manner in the wild yet.

Aw Tom, I played that second map with the cursor without even thinking you could boost that! It took soooooooo much longer dragging creep around the map to cut of sections from the power grid and dealing with the anticreep party pool than that little trick - I actually felt a little disappointed in myself for not trying boosting the nega-emitter!
I played it both ways, first way was as tom did it, second way was the way you do it.... I'd argue that your way was the more satisfying fun way.
I did the same the first-play. Then I saw someone completed it in three minutes and knew immediately what the cheese was.
I would actually love the occasional compilation of smaller and shorter maps! More creep more quickly!
Someone please make a map that actually challenges Tom. This is clearly all easy mode for him.
You're kidding right? I enjoy watching Tom play creeperworld mostly for the banter, but he plays only the easy maps. (I imagine he seaches for the tag fun.) I'm at best a mediocre player, (at over 500 hours in CW4, and over 600 in CW3) and it is at times nearly unbearable to see how horribly inefficient, poor, and ignorant his planning and understanding of the game's mechanics is. To the point where I suspect him to just be trolling at how bad and ignorant he acts.

@@Armstrong84 Why would I? There's almost 3000 custom maps in CW4, with more being added every day, most of a quality I won't equal because F*** learning the programming language for CW custom.
It's also a nonsensical response to give. That's like telling me to create a computer operating system for pointing out someone doesn't know the cut, paste, undo, window switching, and explorer keyboard shortcuts on windows.

I'm loving this series. I'm always hyped to come home over lunch break and check out if Tom's domination of all things creep continues!
The Creeper World mini-map anthology format is fun. Nice to just see a few smaller puzzles, rather than the full campaign, for variety.

1) COMMANDER, please come QUICK!!! The creep, its coming, it just overran the Zardian defense line, and its moving on the capitol city!
2) Muffin pan lol
it is more satisfying to watch the creep take over than it is to watch the creep be fought
You can't make a happy face because it's always going to be a Creep face.

i think i prefer the quick mini maps, that are a bit more fact paced.
When I did the boost on the AC spawner, it went more negative and made clearing it out take longer lol

Sadly you can just boost the emitter next to the rift lab and win that way. Cursor doesn't even get to exist.
Edit: seems like the cursor at least got a little smile at the end.
You can also set the the shield to allow AC to flow through and and turn off some of the mortars

Boosting a negative emitter should just make it more powerful/negative
Can you do the 2nd map again but on boost the one creep area to as max as you can to see the whole map be invaded.

how do you make the bombers strafe in a squad formation? i always have to target each one seperate if i dont want to have them bomb the same space

How do you stretch out the bomber lines horizontally? I know how to order a bombing line but not spread out as he did in the first map.
How do you make your bombers bomb in such a wide line? I only know how to make all of them patreol between 2 points
