impressive how this game can constantly make me feel completely broken inside :/
you have a lot of options, pick an open ending you enjoy the most and pretend it goes on the way you want it to. this game has a dozen different endings because there is no real ending. make your own up the same way they made theirs. even though that isn't definitive it's certainly more enjoyable

@@starbreeze7249 the only ending in which V can be happy with Judy is limited to about 6 months of life. this here is the only one where V survives with certainty and in just 2 years nearly everyone overcomes her absence more than well, even after everything she has done for these people. she's weakened for the rest of her life and an easy target against anyone who still want's revenge. let's be honest: none of the endings in cyberpunk are really options, these two deserve. that's probably what really makes me sad. even in a game you can't escape from reality and in the end, no matter what you do, even with the best intentions, you will always lose.

I honestly don't know what's worse. Not even hearing from Panam and being told by Mitch not to call, or seeing Judy leave you behind and start a new life. Heartbreaking all endings for the romance options, not even just the girls

Never thought a ’I’ve moved on’ phone call with a fictional character would make me cry, BUT HERE WE ARE.
I love Valerie so much. Her actress did a phenomenal job from start to finish. Gonna miss hearing that low and raspy voice a lot. And hearing her say 'Jude' will gut me every time. I really, really hope Project Orion has V in it as the main.

Nah this is crazy because this V, with a life ahead of her and no way to use cyberware and do gigs, was practically all Judy could ever want. They could have been together, no dangerous stuff and no dying.

@@reece42069 This ending really puts into perspective why CDPR dropped the armour through clothing mechanic. The best vests only add 25armour. I guess it really shows how outclassed you are in this future with no implants.
@@reece42069 they can’t even put in self ice or have kiroshi anymore dude. Someone could fry their brains. V would be gonked to go out at all. Even regular citizens of night city have cyberware, even the poorest of the poor. Not to mention if anything ever goes wrong, such as losing a limb or lung, v is practically dead because they can’t withstand a replacement.

well CDPR is down to make this game a disappointment on every level, bothmeta and ingame. It's like they're hellbent on giving the players the middle finger. I get Panam being an immature child since that is what she already was in the main storybut everyone else... It's... inconsistent to say the least. You risked your life for all these people yet they act is they don't owe you anything.

There is no happy ending in night city but it's sad that even if you leave with Judy with the aldercados it doesn't mean anything :/
@@JasonToddEatsCrowbars i gotta really agree on everything you just said. It all just feels like a slap in the face. A lot of people keep saying “well at least V gets to live” but for what tho? Cyberpunk has shown on every level that nothing you do will matter in the grand scheme of things. Just look at the other characters and those who remain in NC. It turns to shit for everybody and to the point where some get wise and leave. With the nomad ending V may only get 6 months but they leave with a new family and people who care and walks away from NC as arguably the best merc to ever live. Think about it just taking down Adam smasher alone would put in the same category if not higher than Morgan blackhand. But my final thoughts with this is i can take all this for what it is no problem. But if this is what cyberpunk will amount to for all the hopelessness then i really don’t see a point to returning to NC in a sequel game. New character or not it’ll just be another story with the same no real light at the end of the tunnel ending. Just my opinion tho.

Its not to say V can't have a good life but it'll be even harder to have to start from scratch yet again. All I'm saying is Night city is a dead end all around. As I said I'm glad V does get to walk away and find a new life but simple losing everything they fought so hard for even the simplest of things is just gone.
As bleak as this ending is, it proves that V can be cured. Somehow. I think this makes the Aldecaldo ending even better.

I still think its a preferable ending to the new one, hell I'd take the rogue ending as a happier one than this, but what this one sets out to prove is that for V to survive, they'd have to abandon everything they knew and start over again. not to mention Johnny's engram is completely excised from existence like in the arasaka ending

Even though I’m in the Panam romance camp, I feel absolutely devastated for those who romanced Judy. I mean, there’s a chance Panam will come around but Judy has a ring now.

@@sillylittlesheepjax6009 More than that, the Nomad ending is the only one where V truly learns and takes to heart the final lesson of Night City: that the only way to win is not to play. As I see it, NC itself is the true main villain of the game, and by leaving, the Nomad ending is the only one in which you manage to defeat it.
I went straight into this ending without seeing it first and it just tore me up. It felt so depressing how everyone moved on without V. Especially Judy.
The truly harsh reality of this world is that the word moves on without us. We played a pivotal role in many of these character’s lives in NC, but after 2 years of being a memory, and then arriving again, we’re hit with the reality that we didn’t really stand a chance.
Our freedom came at a cost…

This ending made me cry… When I got to the mission where you had to sit on the roof and wait at Misty’s place, I immediately said to myself: “Finally, an ending where V gets cured and can be with Judy again with no more pain and suffering”
But as soon as I heard Solomon say: “It’s 2079” my heart dropped thinking the worst and I was right… should’ve expected we’d never get an ending where V and Judy can be happy together forever…

Actually.... The true ending of the expansion was a bit different. There was a huge leak last year and i got my hands on it, there was no FIA clinic, V received help from songbird's chip as he/she was going to a arasaka space clinic for operation, just like in normal ending. After that V got cured and was offered a job for arasaka or you could just leave to go back to night city if i remember correctly.

Be just like that in real life too. Theres no true love nowdays and sadly for some resaon they brought up that same shit to the game too. Knowing V and Judy did get to know V,we know she aint a person to ever leave someone without saying a reason to why. She goes in unplanned coma for 2 years and wolla nothing suprising,people cant live without sex/love even for a year or two and just end up going with someone else. Typical shit and terrible ending for this game.
Woah. This is truly just tragic. They both could have had something but life happened and life happened again. You can’t expect someone to just be hung up on you and so glad that Judy didn’t but also my soul got crushed hearing that she did move on especially since V sounded so hopeful. Life happens so take the time to act while you can. Cyberpunk and it’s themes are truly phenomenal.
Man, can't V or Solomon told the clinic staff to notify V's friends if something happend to him/her during or after surgery? Not that hard..

Yikes, it hurts hearing the pain in V's voice. Thanks for sharing this so that I know that this is another ending to avoid. I guess I have to go for the nomad ending again. They may have an uncertain future ahead, but at least they'll be together while it lasts.

"The star" ending is hands down the best ending for V imo,they might only have 6 months to live but at least they can be with their loved ones and leave the hell that is night city.

@@HippoBean She never cared about V as a girlfriend she just wanted someone on her side because she cannot be alone. She basically admits it on the phone call. V was her bounce back after Evelyn, and her wife is a bounce back for V. Also it’s been two years since V disappeared not the timeline for when Judy’s wedding happened. She could have gotten married to that person after 3 months from what we know.
Oh, hell no ! My V is with Judy and this happens if you take the cure ?! I’ll stick with leaving NC with Judy, Panam and the Aldecados as the canon ending (the best ending), thank you very much.
Best ending with things left up in the air if V survives or not but if he/she doesn't then they are at least happy for their remaining time.
This new ending does have the potential for V to be happy eventually, but it has to be from scratch and as a normal person pretty much.

Yeh I've made my headcanon that V & Judy find a way to survive through Panam & the Aldecaldo's connects in Europe. Maybe we still get in a coma, can't be ourself again but we retire or become a fixer. But we're still at least happy and alive with Judy & our friends.

Judy wanted to move in with V after one night spent together and let her grandmother interrogate her about their future after like what? 2 weeks of dating? Not mention that she just abandons her in her final days if she decides not to leave NC. I mean just hopping into a marriage once V disappeared isn’t much of a surprise. She basically admits that she just needs somebody at her side and can’t be alone. It was never about V in the first place.

I can’t understand, there on the roof with Joni before the operation there was an additional task to inform his friends that V was leaving the city for an operation. So why the hell didn’t Judith wait for V and go to her clinic??? The excuses that this is cyberpunk and that there is always a sad ending are bullshit, the developers make 4-5 endings, so why not add a happy one where V wakes up after 2 years and Judith meets her in the ward.
V shouldn't have asked Reed to tell Judy or Panam, his friends, before the operation. Stay in touch with them during recovery

I'd understand this type of 'moving on' ending If they'd thought that V ghosted them for some reason, but these two factors make it impossible to think so in the 1st place. Seems like CDPR just didn't care about writing in DLC.
@sofaericsson6392 One of the earliest quests you do with Judy is helping her search for a friend who dropped off the radar. Funny how she doesn't do the same for you and just wanders off to rebound-fuck some other broad like she did with you. Her opening up to you wasn't a healing process. She just used you to feel secure with someone. With this ending, CDPR have retroactively turned Judy into exactly the toxic, needy, emotionally unstable wreck that gaslighting dickwaffle Maiko Maeda tried to paint her as. People don't seem to get how this ending's added context has utterly destroyed these once fantastic characters.
I must say that this end bring me a fuckin' tears in my eyes ... I really like V And Judy together ... This is painful as hell, because this Is life ... A fuckin' life .. I will always love this game. But I am really sad right now ..

After all the things Judy has gone through and seeing that we, or rather V, wasn't able to be there, I'm actually just glad that Judy was able to move on with her life. In fact, I was very glad because someone like V, who is always dancing with Arasaka, will be very dangerous to her loved ones.
Man, maybe this is what Cyberpunk is all about. Relationship, emotions, sacrifice, and humanity. Just like the Edgerunner.
I think your right the biggest thing imo is sacrifice if we learned anything from David it's that when you keep chasing more the city will take everything or kill you the only ones that have somewhat okay lives are the ones that leave.

Man… the sad thing is, that’s just life. I don’t hate that Judy moved on. I mean shit Evelyn dies, V goes missing for 2 whole years, with no word from anyone. (Which still irks me) she’s not property. She can do as she wants. But man did this suck. I loved all these people as characters and getting to know them be friends, partners the whole 3 quarters was great. Knowing you’re mostly alone after all that just hurts more.
At least I know I’m not the only one bummed out about this lol

Not gonna lie, this feels like one of the worst endings next to taking the "oof" pills. Glad I went with saving So Mi because at least I get to ride or die with the aldecados and Judy.

Recently ive been told this had always been the point of cyberpunk, that there is never any happy endings in the same way other games does it, its just depressing, horrible, or just bittersweet. And if thats the case i will say this. I love the game and the story, it was a fun wild ride but when it comes to these endings after investing so much into everything ive done up to this point, im gonna feel like i should appreciate and not take for granted mass effect 3s shit ass ending cause atleast even if the main character dies, everyone youve built a relationship with around you will still live on peacefully. This one just makes me feel like the best ending might as well be ditching NC with panam and judy to the unknown with only 6 months to live without ever knowing if she ever finds a cure. The funny thing is, V couldve gone that route, give Johnny some closure moving on with his ex in the net, leave with panam and THEN call reed for that surgery, i am perfectly fine with V losing her ability to fight in exchange for removing the biochip. It is still bittersweet cause that life for V is gone, but atleast she can live a long life with judy and panams family in peace. Or the other route is giving your damn friends and loved ones a phone call about your leaving NC for awhile for this surgery cause chances are she couldve died through the surgery, atleast they wouldve been informed before everything else happened. These small ass details that couldve gradually made this a better ending than this. Again i get the point of the cyberpunk story and why its the way it is, but it doesnt make it any less shitty from my point if view. Great game and would play another one if they make a sequel or a separate one operating in the same universe but atleast i learned to set my expectations extremely low so i wouldnt feel like i invested everything for nothing.
At this point yeah, I’m happy they finally updated the game, but they completely ignore the number one complaint everyone had from all of the endings which is now pretty obvious hear. This ending sucks and honestly it’s just…rushed at this point wtf, so
many implications. Starting to think CDPR didn’t give much of a thought process on how much this ending would suck for everyone.
it's one of the reasons it is not a popular universe setting, similar to grimdark, and another that slips my mind. no reader or viewer wants to devote their time to a story they know has no shot at a happy ending because it makes the journey feel wasted. it doesn't make it a bad story, but when your genre creates constraints on how you can write your stories end, it's a bit lame, and you know it's lame because there is no "real" ending. you could write 50 different endings, all ends the same, all meant to conflict with one another. moral of the story is it was two people that died and should be dead having a brief shot of living, so bromance it out with silverhand and die a legend
@@starbreeze7249 well it used to be good, but now after the pandemic and a lot of humbug that’s been happening over the months, people aren’t in the mood for that, so far no one knows it yet and Cyberpunk is on a honey moon phase, sooner or later people will catch on and probably switch over to Baldur’s Gate 3 since you don’t have the “no good ending”.

One happy, one realistic(like this one in the sense that people do move on), one bad ect. They didn't have to go full dark. Could a been more balanced.

I made to sure to complete the Judy romance before starting Phantom Liberty, because I wanted to see if there was any additional dialogue/scenes in the DLC... Did not expect it to go this way 😭 we need a modded Judy + V happy ending pronto!

Sadness, V has put everyone on his/her shoulders, and gets nothing in return.
Sad as this is, I don't think its some huge betrayal or anything. Its bitter sweet, it sucks for V but its not like Judy was mad, she was happy to hear from V, she'd just moved on and was in a new chapter of her life. Shes found stability and peace, something hard to find in that world. She got a happy ending. It sucks for V but the world keeps turning, and V will move on as well.
Certainly a lot better than Panam who won't even talk to you

I actually think that her not being mad is the problem for me here. Like, I would have expected some kind of emotional response. I'm trying to imagine how I'd respond if a loved one disappeared and then showed up again after 2 years. Angry, sad, happy, confused? Maybe all at the same time? But smthg at least... this just felt lacking, like she does not care. "How you doing buddy? Thought you were dead, but no biggie. So you gonna live? Neat." Makes me sad 😐
She did turn her back on V after everything she did for her, Judy knew V was dying and just for once, when V decides to put herself first, Judy just turns her back on V and decides move on without even trying to find out what really happened to her.
Where is that Judy who went out of her way for Evelyn?
The one who found a way to change the chip of the dolls so that they fight better than V to finish off clouds.
This ending makes you think that V was in love with someone who never existed.. 💔

At this point only two good endings are Stars and leaving with the Adecaldo’s, Stars is bittersweet but there’s a chance V can survive or get uploaded into a clone, other hand there could be a chance Panam will eventually find a cure for V, being forced to turn normal in Cyberpunk basically is a death sentence in this game with how much they treat normies poorly. So yeah….this sucks sadly…I actually hate it.
V can be happy in this ending though but has to pretty much start over from scratch.

Why are so many people "If you dont like V suffer than play a other game!"....wtf?! Cyberpunk is dark, is depressing. So...nothing at all can be good? Ok, why even tell a story, just kill everything. This argument with "this is cyberpunk, it has to be depressing and bad end" is so stupid! Only with good parts, happy memoris somthing can also be really sad. If just everything is sad, death and depression it just get "meh, we all suffer anyway. Why even bother?"
Some sad and bad endings would be ok, but for the DLC...god dame, just one happy way vor V with his love! Nomad-end is a little bit this way, even if we dont know if there gone save V.

they don't have a panam version, she doesn't talk to you at all.
Its implied that she completely shut down, so if you try and talk to her, there will be no response. In the ending, Mitch says not to call again because it "took her a long time to get back to her old self"

So at the very end, she lost Jackie, Johnny, Judy and Misty is leaving.
You can also see with what Reed told her, she is completely depressed by the fact that she will not be able the use Chrome anymore and continue to be a Merc.
I mean seriously how would you react if you lose all this people and + you can’t even do shit and living the Merc life that she was before.
Must be one of the most depressing ending in the game.
You can clearly see in her face at the end that she doesn’t know what to do and she was probably thinking if removing the Relic to survive was the better option instead to leaving it as it was…
So i guess we can all agree that the aldecaldos ending is still the best for now… But the Sun ending imo could be also the next chapter for Cyberpunk "Orion" and the ending make sense for the next game since we don’t know anything of what is the mission and happens in the Crystal Palace.
Why would he need chrome?
It's not like he's disabled.
He's just normal healthy NPC living in the world like everyone else.

@@SeriousDragonify In the Lore of Cyberpunk or should i say V’s Lore, V is known to be the best Merc in NC and V got used to using a lot of powerful chrome/implants because of the Relic and Johnny, this gave V the possibility to use more and more powerful chrome without Cyberpsychosis.
Chrome became part of his identity basically.
He was able to do the most dangerous and difficult thing that any people can’t do. Like fighting adam smasher solo, attacking the arasaka tower by himself, going behind the Blackwall ect…
So V becoming a random civilian that can’t even defend himself in 99% of the situations he was dealing with in the past is the most depressing part.
V was known as the best Merc in NC like i said and as Rogue said in the Prologue of the new ending, she basically said that because of his 2 year coma he became a legend "because people thought V was dead".
After that Rogue said that V can comeback visit her to the Afterlife but if she comes back too much, her Legend statue will disappear because people will notice obviously.
So thats 1 part of why V is depressed, because if V tries to comeback to the Merc life again well he cannot because his status in NC was known as the best and most dangerous Merc in NC and if V comes back with the inability to put combat implants, he will die instantly + the Legend status will degrade.
On top of all that V lost basically everbody, you said that Misty and Vik were still here but if im not mistaking, Misty said she was leaving "could be wrong " and also in the new Prologue some corpo people wants Vik to move out from his shop.
So this is why i think it’s considered one of the worst ending for the character, because V loses everything and can’t do anything anymore Lorewise.
V lost all of it…. Thats why he looks depressed and lost at the end.
And thats why imo i considered it one of the worst endings.
So to respond to your question, yes V needs chrome, thats his whole identity in the entire game. Without it, nothing that he did would of happened without his powerful force. But don’t forget that its also the Relic and johnny that gave him the possibility to do all that.
Now one last thing,
V survived, but at what cost…

💔My cyberpunk was played on PS4 an half way through the story I became so close to Judy that it was like yeah I have to live for her so we can be happy I fully convinced myself that I was doing all of the killing no one but myself then you got David Johnny So mi an your character V all have same fate the only ending I'm ok with is V an Judy Ride with the nomads but kinda wish it was perfect crazy man when you see these endings can tell So mi was suffering to .💔

you don't even really get vic. he's moving to san Francisco on corpo orders, remember? of the LOT of them, the only one that genuinely wants to meet up with you and help you if you need it is Kerry...and he's busy on tour at the moment. and the thing with Panam and the Aldecados is so WILDLY against type.... the Devil ending was bad becasue it was grim. This is WORSE....but only because it's so poorly written/forced.
@alexsolomon8127 Indeed. And it's not just the Aldecaldos Judy didn't even check on you. A character you supposedly developed a deep connection with just decided not to investigate her lover's disappearance, even though she did exactly that for a friend before.
What did you expect? You've been away for two years. Judy thought you were dead and life goes on. What's Judy got to wait for? A resurrection? At least she still talks to you. Panam doesn't talk to you at all anymore.
It's just an ending for V. They wanted her to survive. It's just a fan thing to me. Reed could have told Judy.
Arasaka, the creator of the Relic can't fix the damage... If you can believe it.
This ending simply makes no sense.
There is no way that Judy wouldn't go out of her way for V just as she did with Evelyn.
V is always going to hell and back for everyone and for once that she decides to put herself first then everyone turns their backs on her? That's extremely fucked up.

I wouldn’t mind if the story was a bit different yes V lives but with there love partner being there in the hospital clinic you know then get the happy ending like that but I guess the good ending or should I say the better ending is when you go with the nomads and have your partner like Jude or Panam go with you to found a cure for u to live.

This game has so much potential to be fair,far as i think judy and panam romance story deserve its own expension where we go after them or something and come out clear with being in coma,especially with panam story i think mitch is just hiding the fact we even tired to reach out to her,not forgeting the fact the reason we coudnt do it before cuz we were in a coma for 2 goddam years.Love the see cd projekt still cares about their game after all the drama since start.
Ngl, i understand Judy's whole situation, but I feel like V would be happy she moved on. For Night City two year is alot, Hell a year is alot, Edgerunner hapoened a year before 2077, and David is basically a talltale.

This is actually one of the best endings, right up there with Don't Fear the Reaper. It exposed these characters for who they really are. The only people who was ever truly by V's side was Vik & Johnny but after the Heist, it became about 2 options.
1.Die & become a N.C Legend.
2.Getting rid of the Biochip & survive.
That was always the goal. I can tell a lot of people never played this game without the romance lol because V never really wanted a lover to begin with.

Cyberpunk really knows how to mess with the players emotions
Since I haven't seen anyone else say it I guess I will. Now we know why they changed it so that the only way to get any armor in defense was through cyberware. Because if you can get armor through clothes then we could still be a mercenary just by wearing a lot of heavy armor. It was a setup from the very beginning.
I'm really glad they added they added an ending in Phantom Liberty where V survives. It was bittersweet getting to see Night City in 2079 and seeing how life moved on without you. Personally, though I still think Vs ending with the Nomads is the best ending. Especially if you romanced Judy like I did during my first playthrough. V may only have 6 months to live but quality over quantity. With this ending, you get to live out whatever time you have left with your love interest. And have the support of your adopted nomad clam. I also think there is still hope for V with this ending. Who knows it is possible that one of Panam's contacts in Arizona may still be able to help V.

So the DLC doesn't bring any good endings then.
It's bittersweet. Like most of the other endings (Except the suicide and Arasaka endings which are outright Downers). V lives, has a chance to start over, still has a few paths available. But most of their friends have moved on, and V can't use most of their Cybernetics.
The best ending in the game is still the Aldecaldo ending. Every ending except for this, suicide, and the Arasaka ending leave things ambiguous.
I like to imagine that V lived happily as either a legend of night city or Aldecaldo member.
Cyberpunk stories don’t often have good endings, so being an Aldecaldo is as good as it gets
@@Mr-Rinn In what galaxy The Sun is a "bittersweet"? It's full downer, for me in pairs with the Devil. I cannot decide which one is worse. Tone of people dies in Rogue's bombing raid and station deorbiting. V dies soon, but before becomes the pawn for the Blue Eyes, and it's implied this guy is not to be trusted. Rogue dies. V is completely broken as evidenced by his bitter talk with the Blue Eyes. And V either grit teeth in space because of pain or because he is that angsty against all this shit. Love interests leave you meaning you die alone.
@@secondaryfront You can avoid Rogue's death if you and Johnny are close enough that he suggests a suicidal attack, which if you win triggers the Sun ending with Rogue alive. And I don't think the Space Station is being destroyed, I thought that job was a heist. Also it's the best ending to the River and Kerry romances as you stay with them in those, neither are willing to become Nomads.
@@Mr-Rinn no no, the raid with Rogue has the Arasaka space station deorbiting. The Golden Palace is not that station, it's the second one.
Yeah, "Don't fear the ripper" Sun ending IS in fact bittersweet because not so many people die there. But The Sun? Jeez, it's not even V who rides the Arasaka Tower there, so they didn't even earned that fame...
I only read first that v will be healed in the new ending and I tested it but damn it tooks such a high price
I thought it was just the male version that just got screwed over, but seems like the female version does too. So harsh. I as depressing as I think this end and the secret ending is it’s a lot more powerful.
Judy knows if she sees v she will throw away her new happy life to be with v so she makes the decision to beg v to stay away so she can live her life
I swear that's what I got too...she just doesn't want to shit on the other person..pple say as if she was using you coz she was lonely.. She says after you and Evelyn meaning the pple she really cared about weren't there ..she then felt lonely hence getting with this girl/I mean she almost or kills herself after the suicide path ending..
