For many decades I have followed various spiritual paths and no matter which direction, the gurus and therapists have always preached: "Your resistance, your non-acceptance, your lack of love and spirituality must be broken, shattered! Otherwise you will never achieve any goal!" ("Hammer on the rock" is not by chance the name of a Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh book).
Only when I went my own way did I feel truly authentic. And that has sometimes led to expulsion (what wasn't so bad...). 💕

Hi Jeff, I'm beginning to find guru of sorts in family members that I once considered spiritually stunted. I always felt a bit sorry for them that they didn't and couldn't find a profound spiritual path or journey and only if they could do that I just knew it would fix them. Lol! I'm beging to see them as holy zen masters .

Even the resistance indeed. On another level though, the acceptance of resistance could be a way of escaping your responsibility for your creation of resistance. Freedom is indeed to embrace and love your creations, including the one of resistance. To look at it with childlike wonder, without judgement. What then if we judge judgement? Even that is completely fine but the thing here is to always keep taking responsibility for being the creator of those states, and to acknowledge that you could choose differently. Not because you must or because some spiritual teacher says it’s good, but merely for your own joy, simply because you prefer a different experience now. You prefer the experience of non-resistance… so you open up and allow the experience of non-resistance to be the reality that you choose. Out of the acknowledgement that only joy is real because it transcends all fluctuations in mood by not resisting it but embracing it and seeing it can have no effect whatsoever on itself, because it’s joy.

I have been meditating for some years yet only recently realise that still, I am not wanting to allow the emotions.. its kind of hard to believe.. ! but there it is, to allow the waves, to allow the expression. ‘Why would the ocean want to change its waves?’ How perfectly clear does that frame our experience?
If we see that the entity analyzing, judging and desiring is only within the wave itself, the reality of that and the futility is clearly seen. It may happen, but given time the wave will be embraced back into the whole from where it originated, and in the end it was all meaningless and insignificant. Just what happened! Whatever it was that cared and suffered never really existed. The ocean was just playing with itself, because it can! Thank you!

I also found that out in my process of emotional healing. Its all sacred! What i before took as the most negative turned in sth. different and sth. I can be with.. And yes curiousity. That is the key for opening that door deeper inside! ❤️

yes , if non acceptance is not accepted there is no acceptance .
There's nothing special about our experiences. No need of calling it divine (leads to subtle ego). The best way out is to not give special attention to this being called "I". It's as important or not important as any other being.

connected with God (or the gods) or dedicated to a religious purpose and so deserving veneration.
Nope.
We are literally at a loss for words in our mutual development. What we can do is give new meaning to old words like 'spiritual' or 'sacred'. For example, to me the word 'sacred' denotes a quality of absolute value. No gods or veneration needed. As we go along, our vocabulary will change - both the words and the meanings - so that we can talk with each other. Because we're only human - we will talk.
@@patriciaadducci6549 If we want to avoid the perception of indoctrination we should use other terms that don't encompass religions or Gods. I was abused by religious fanatics growing up. I mistrust all that use their language for that reason.
@@DAClub-uf3br A very good reason. A few years ago I had a discussion with a Zen teacher along these lines. He said he can't stop people from calling him a spiritual teacher, but he will not refer to himself that way. I tried to argue for the usefulness of the word 'spiritual' but couldn't make myself clear. He recently published a book called 'The Path of Aliveness' so that's his contribution. I still think of myself as being on 'a spiritual path' even while I can't articulate what I mean by that. And I don't think indoctrination is limited to religion, so this whole vocabulary thing is really a challenge. Perhaps you've found a solution?
