- A data-flow diagram (DFD) is a visual representation of the flow of data through a process or a system (usually an information system). The DFD also provides information about the outputs and inputs of each entity and the process itself.
This instructional video addresses the notation and how to create a DFD and the different categories of DFDs.

I used a program to create all the DFD structure till the end (data and program squeleton)

There are a number of tools that support the creation of Data Flow Diagrams. I have a range of EA tools that include Sparx EA and Visual Paradigm. These tools support much more than just DFDs.
