I lived in Nea Smyrni for over a year and never realized the Niarchos Center was officially in Kallithea. I always thought it to be part of Paleo Faliro.

Kallithea is a very scruffy place that has gone down hill a lot, prostitution,drugs,graffiti,and witnessed 2 dead kittens outside hotel ,absolutely hated it , always noise ,no green spaces anywhere
In my opinion, everywhere can has good and bad sides. Just we need to change our perspective. For example Kallihea has a very enjoyable place like Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre. I think it's not important where you live that matters, important thing who you live with and how you live.

It's easy to get confused since Kallithea and Paleo Faliro are very close to each other. Also Niarchos Center is almost right on the border.

That can be said about a lot of places in Athens. Kallithea was my first choice before I moved to Greece, but later decided on Nea Smyrni.
