My favorite James moment? Easy. It was during the ramen battle when Barry mocked his skills, attempted an attack and James got him on the floor whimpering without hardly breaking stride on his cooking.

I really liked how calm and low key this video was. I'm interested to see if this is the mood this series is going to have or if it's simply reflecting James' personality.

My favourite James-moment: At a chef vs chef he said: "I'm going to be silent and I think that's okay." In a very serious and kinda soft voice. It was the cutest thing.
James is a sweetheart 😊 really appreciated him wanting to serve people food, it's a great feeling)
As for fave James moments (beside the looks, soft voice and 💪😳), this culinary enthusiasm of his is a treat to watch! The bread making mmmm
A close second for me was when Barry asked him that Lego question, and James did not pause, did not stutter, did not have to think. He had his answer /at the ready/ because he has given this some serious thought already. I find that SO charming and adorable.
My favorite James moment was the ultimate breakfast battle where he was doing commentary in his birthday suit. I think that was a fantastic gift to all of the Sorted community!

I'm going to be the snob Italian and tell you that we use stale bread so that it doesn't get too soggy (the recipe started as a way not to waste the bread) but I love the fact that you appreciate simple recipes like these, they are always underrated but delicious 💖💖
P.s. James I'll make you panzanella while listening to bon iver and then you can play with my starwars Lego sets..
How do you know the bread he used wasn't stale?
The bread has to be rock hard. You wouldn't be able to cut it in slices, you'd break it apart across the cracks and then soak the chunks in water and vinegar. Then after squeezing the extra water out you can shred it.
Zante, that seems like a lot of effort. I would probably put it in a blender and use it for panne or topping.
You can do that too. But it's a lot less effort than you may think, and the result is definitely worth it.
Watching in 2019, thinking how Baz must think it's BULLSHIT that he got so much grief for torching a pepper in a recent Pass It On, when *Chef* James taught him how to do it! Lol, love it!

Whenever I watch sortedfood videos I always think Ben is my favorite and then they show James and I can’t help but feel like he’s so precious and too pure for this world.

Panzanella is one of my absolute favorite salads. Get 4 Italians in a room and ask them and you'll get at least 5 different takes all revolving around stale bread and tomatoes. One thing I do, rather than blanch the red onion, is to cut it and then soak it in red wine vinegar for about 30 minutes. Discard the vinegar since it will have absorbed any bitterness from the onions. It makes a big difference.
That's the beauty of it - there's no wrong way! (we think!)

I live just on the other side, on the Adriatic coast, panzanella is not really a thing here, and as much as I love tomatoes and bread, give me stale bread and I'll always choose passatelli in brodo 💛
Shouldn ´t it be in James' kitchen? As far as I remember the old Made Personal series was at each's home. And to be honest all moments with James are my favourite moments .

My favorite James moment was when he broke Ben’s favorite chopping board in half in one of your very old fridgecam videos! I think it was with Jamie and Barry and it was one of the very first time James was introduced to us! I still LOL when I think about it.

as an italian i'm always scared when I see an interpretation of an italian recipe online, but I have to say that this one is very good and very similar to the one my family does, maybe

0:14 When Barry backs into James, it's what I (and most viewers) wanted to do for the longest time.
This reminds me of something my mother made and is popular here in the South (USA). Tomatoes, Sweet Onions, Cucumber, roughly chopped and covered in Italian Salad Dressing. That simple! Let sit in the fridge until ready to serve. The great thing is, the longer it sits, the better it gets.
James's favorite moment?? When he stuck his mic to his 3 chest hair hands down
Seriously though, James should have a pop-tart and then make us a super delicious homemade version. Shouldn't really be too hard either, I wouldn't think...I bet the hardest parts would be getting the filling inside the casing without having to bake it more than once to harden it, and making sure the base stays sturdy enough that the bottom of it won't be soggy. No one likes a soggy bottom.

In Italy (as for every recipe) you can find tons of variations and since this was a recipe made to use old bread you can basically invent your own!😊 My mum does it with slices of bread not too soaked in water, tomatoes, red Tropea onions, basil, salt and olive oil.

My favorite James moment was when in one of the battle videos Jamie gets upset and lowers his head and James comes out of know where and hugs Jamie and asks him if he’s alright and what’s wrong. You can’t really hear what he was saying but you can tell it was sweet.

I make mine with more cubed bread and less crumbled bread. Probably because that is how it was first made for me. I love it!
