- I was tired of bad youtube tutorials and after cobbling together a beginner's method for solving the cube which involves only 4 algorithms, I decided to post my own video. It uses logic as far as you can, meaning not only do you understand the cube better but there is a minimum of memorization.
White Cross 3:33 - Use the daisy method
White Corners 6:40 - Use the corner move
Middle Layer 11:52 - Use the corner move twice to set the edge pieces and keep the white corners solved
Yellow Cross 17:17 - Orient the cube and use: F U R Ui Ri Fi as needed
Yellow Corners 20:18 - Orient the cube and use: R U Ri U R U U Ri as needed
Orient Corners 24:05 - Orient the cube and use: Ri F Ri B B R Fi Ri B B R R as needed
Orient Edges 26:45 - Orient the cube as use: F F U L Ri F F Li R U F F as needed

EASILY the best, most simplified tutorial that I've found. It's as straight forward as possible and he does a great job explaining alternate scenerios in case you run into issues.
I learn how to do the Rubik's cube through this method and I studied others but this is by far the best thank you

So I got my rubik’s cube yesterday and I have been trying to fo it since last night. I went through few “easiest way” videos and I literally couldn’t solve it. Getting old now. Had to come back to refresh memory. It's the final couple of steps I just can't get my head round without watching twenty times and writing it down in my own way. Stresses me out till I finally do it. Nice one. 😁😎
I agree with you. Years ago I watched so many videos on this topic and just could not do it until I finally found this video. Once I wrote down the algorithms and kept them near me it was only a short time before I had them memorized. Now, I’m back for a refresher course, lol! This was the video that did it for me. I only wish this guy did more videos on Rubiks cube. It’s the same in the chess world… i’ve had teachers over the year that we’re International masters iPad teachers that were only 150 to 200 points higher than me and I actually learned a lot more from the players who were slightly better than me. I once took a lesson/3 hour lesson with a grandmaster and that was the biggest waste of money in my life at $180! He was a wonderful chess player, but he could not teach to save his life. Other guides claim to be the best. This is by far the easiest to UNDERSTAND.. IF YOU ARE NOT GETTING IT ELSEWHERE TRY THIS ONE BECAUSE IT WILL SOLVE EASY!

Not only I finally solved my first cube, but my 6yrs boy understood your concept of "load" and now he can solve at least 1 side of the cube, that's all he talks about..."dad you need to turn, then load..." Freaky thing I know the instructions for the finding the yellow corners, follow them RURiURUURi, but never manage to get it work unless I follow propellorboy on youtube when it magically works.

I've never commented on a CZcams video before. I've watched all of the "the best", "the easiest", "the fastest" tutorials on CZcams for solving a Rubik's cube, they all explain it like you're a veteran talking to a veteran and move so fast it's too hard to follow. This is literally the best Rubik's cube tutorial on CZcams, hands down! Was able to solve it the first time through. Great job!

Thank you so much for this video. I have been trying to solve the Rubik's cube for 39 years. It was on my bucket list. After watching your video 20 times and 10 attempts later, I DID IT!!! I downloaded 15 other "How to Solve the Rubik's Cube" videos and none of them worked for me. Your method is simple and understandable. My circa 1980 Rubik's cube is finally solved. God bless you!
Just have to say this one is the best I've come across so far. My dad taught me how to solve this when I was in my twenties. I could do it in less than 20 steps. My dad died in 1995 and now I'm 68 and wish I would've remembered. I've purchased books on it and looked at CZcams. Finally today I was able to do it again, although much more than 20 moves. Thanks for the clear instructions. Concise and to the point.

I can't tell you how many times I've had to fix my daughters cube and every time I have to use this tutorial, it is bookmarked on my desktop. every time it amazes me when it's done. I couldn't solve the Yellow corners. Every time I'm ending up with 1 yellow corner on the side !!! that is not matching with any of the 3 possible causes. What will be the algorithm when we have Yellow cross and all 3 corners on top?

I used this tutorial ages ago to learn how to solve a Rubik's cube. Since then, a long time later, I forgot how to do it! In trying to find this video again, I found solves that were SO MUCH MORE convoluted that claim to use a simple and easy method. This is BY FAR the best tutorial for someone who is a beginner and wants to learn how to solve a Rubik's cube fairly quickly. Holy crap I'm putting this in my favorites so i never lose it again.

Love the fact that you explain all the different scenarios or positions you could end up in. Still using my cheat sheet but it's becoming easier and I have for the first time been able to solve it!

What if you solve the white top, but dont have the tetris pieces on the sides?
Jacob Cook it just means you need to Rearrange the white corners. Make sure that if you have a corner piece for example orange white green. Say that the orange corner is facing you make sure it’s diagonal to the orange piece in the middle, however you don’t want the white piece on the bottom make sure for example the orange and white are facing the front and with our example green on the bottom. As long as you match up the other colors for the white corners like that(of course there’s other colors), it should help. Does that make sense hopefully, not sure if that sounded confusing
