I had never played/solved the cube before. I had watched quite a few videos on solving the cube prior to stumbling upon this video. Hands down, this is the single video hack one would need to learn to solve the cube. I learnt it in less than 3 days, despite having a full working schedule and family priorities (read only at nights). Fantastic and simple algorithm and instructions. Kudos to you, Claudia.
I'm 57 yrs old & got my first Rubiks cube before CZcams in 1981 & also messed with several others over the years since but with this video & a lot of pause & backup 10 secs I just solved one for the first time ever ending a 42 year drought & im proud as a peacock!! This explains way better than the other dozen I tried before & even during bit kept coming back to this one cuz it gives the best explanations by far !! Thanks !

probably the single-best follow-along video for solving the cube... took me many partial rewinds/rewatches to work out glitches in my cube when I made mistakes along the way... now I can solve about 3/4 of the cube without the video. it's always the final layer or part of the final layer where I still need to peek-and-practice.... THANK YOU!
Finished my first one in 2 hours with this video. After an hour I got to the very end and somehow messed up BAD so I remixed the whole thing and started over again. Got it ! This was one of the best videos to learn from

This is by far the best starter video around that I have seen. Once you have this method engrained there are any number of short cuts that can be learned but this is an excellent foundation 👌

My mystery cube of mixed colours was nothing but a reminder of how unclear life was.....it used to sit there....mocking me as I paced around the room using all my mental capacity to figure out the right combination to solve the little demon that cornered me in doubt......but now.....NOW my eyes are opened, the cube is solved and so is the question of our existence....it all makes sense now.

This is hands down the best tutorial on the internet to solve a Rubik's cube! I have been trying to solve one for like AGES... Your simple and clear explanation not only just helped me solve it for the first time in my life but I now understand the pattern so well that I intentionally mix up the blocks and see if I am able to solve it on my own again, practising repeatedly. I'm so glad you made this video, it has given confidence to a novice like me that it's possible to solve a Rubik's cube, just don't give up.

You are a fabulous teacher. No ego, showing off or any of the things that discourage new cubers. So clear and user friendly. I am an older person who has cubed for 15 years. I solve many cubes, cuboids, odd shaped magic cubes, and supercubes and these often require the basic moves you teach here. So while this is very beginner it is also very useful for advanced complex cubes that can't be solved with advanced algs, A pleasure!! I will show this video to a young neighbor whom I just gave a 3x3 and she is very excited about it. I feel she'd do well with your great teaching style!!

A few of the pros I felt like either skipped over things or rushed, and I always got mixed up on the last step because they never mentioned that we were solving for the yellow. Did it the first time which took awhile. Reset the cube and knocked it out the second time pretty quickly. THIS is the best video for a beginner to learn.
I couldnt figure out the last step but the corners magically went into the right spot when trying to get the corners in their proper positions! Thank you! I tried a few videos before i found yours. You were very helpful!!
I can't seem to get this part either. Every time it gets messed up. I even had it where there was only one corner to solve, but somehow even though that corner ended up correct the rest of the cube is no longer right 😭

This is the best tutorial I have found. All the others were really complicated, but this was pretty straightforward
this is 100% the only video you need that doesn't make it over complicated or blabber on and on between each step, then do the moves at like 100mph so you have to stop start stop start rewind

Search for different videos. I didn't understand her way, too confusing, but I can do it now by learning from other videos. Many use the same beginner technique but explain it and demonstrate it in different ways

I seriously have to think you so much for this. Never did I ever think I would actually understand a rubiks cube as much as I did while watching this video. Its easy, simple and straight to the point.
I got a rubiks cube years ago with the intention of learning how to solve it by memory and never could. I mean. I solved it, but I could never memorize it. I always got to the part where you solve the 2 bottom layers after getting the white side, and once you have to start solving the top yellow part, I ALWAYS had to default right back to the tutorial because I could never quite grasp it or even remember the steps. I looked att a LOT of tutorials, and while they all helped in their own way, they were also very convoluted and never really helped me understand. I tried on and off for months before dropping it, and now years later I started trying again, found this video and boom. I can solve my rubiks cube completely by memory. I solved it at least 8x in a row last night without having to rewatch the video over and over again. And even now on the next day I solved it 4x without even having to watch the video or replay any steps.
The best part of this video that separates it fromm the rest, and what I think helped me to understand is that you didnt throw in any pointless keyword or analogies. Sure, knowing the words prime and all that can be important, but its also too much at once and just makes things more confusing. Plus I would see tutorials where they told you to imagine the turns as "go to school, open the door, back to school", etc. or "now imagine you are boxing, hook, dodge", etc. It was just too much, too confusing, and not necessary. This video is amazing.
I can now finally say that Ive memorized how to solve a rubiks cube by heart and Im so happy at this little accomplishment.
I'm kind stuck on a few parts but this video is the video that makes the most sense to me.

Claudia, thank you very much. I was able to solve my first cube while following alongside your video for about 4 days (1-2 hours per day). Since then, I've been able to solve with maybe a few peeks of some of the last steps in your demonstration. I too watched several "How to solve a cube," videos and this is honestly the best and easily understood instruction for someone who never touched a cube before or wants a refresher. Something I want to point out is that you make it clear to get to know the cube and its autonomy. Before coming across your video, I was stumped on while certain pieces won't move or don't orient a certain way, well, that's cause it can't. HAHA. Thanks to you I was able to see that. Thank you again, you really are a talented teacher and great communicator.

Thanks for this clear and concise explanation. Now having solved it about 15 times in the past day, ive got the algorithms memorized. This is probably one of the best cube solving videos, the other cube CZcamsrs go way too fast after the daisy and have the "act like you are smart as they are" attitude.

I wanted a quick, logical way to solve a cube for the first time, but one that didn't rely on me knowing how the logic works (as that should come later once I keep practicing). This was REALLY easy to follow! I’ve been struggling to follow other tutorials online because they assume we’re masters of the cube already.

Don't worry .. when muscle memory kicks in, it will be like second nature .. Ultra instinct on a cube ;) lol
I did it! Thank you. I followed your steps and it took me about 3 times because my cube was really messed up. Every time I got to the last step to solve the cube, and solving the bottom face messed up the top face, I flipped it over and started over from the next unsolved step until all sides were solved. This helped me practice the algorithms over and over while bringing me to solving the cube for the first time.
Tysm for this! I’ve never solved one before. Took me 2.5 hrs to solve the first time and about 40 mins the second time ❤

This is the best explanation I found! Omg, the feeling of solving the whole thing after only being able to solve one side for years is unreal! Something about the way you call it an "algorithm" just made sense, and my brain and hands just do it without me consciously thinking about it. And the best part is after solving a few times you automatically know how to solve starting with any colour it's insane! Its Magic, Thank you!

just watch it a few times and you will get it, took me about 5 or 6 re watches to get it. My 10yo has been giving me shit for the last week because he watched this video and now he can solve the cube in under a minute

You have no idea how happy you have made me. My dad used to do the Rubik's Cube when I was younger and it always amazed me. I think he taught himself which is pretty incredible. My brain doesn't work that way so I needed this very simple step-by-step method. I had tried two others but they just didn't have the simple to understand terminology to make it work. They were all "right apostrophe, left apostrophe etc etc". I have just completed my first ever cube and I'm delighted. Thank you so much. I have no idea who you are or what your background is but I guess maybe this is your 'thing' ie taking things and making them simple. If I'm ever stuck on anything again I will look for your help. This is also the first time I have ever commented on a CZcams video.

I learned how to solve a rubiks cube last year, and I'm coming back now just to remember how to do it again, and this was the video I used. It is very helpful and an easy guide to use!

My cube always gets so scrambled after the last step I can’t solve the yellow face without destroying the rest of my cube 🥲

You have to make sure you are just solving each yellow corner WITHOUT paying attention to where it is. I made that mistake. Do not worry about if the yellow cube is in its right spot, just solve for it to be at the bottom

The important thing is to remember to finish the algorithm every time (top layer anticlockwise after yellow corner jumps into right position)
Try and get the sales colors as her that’s what I did and I solved it!
