All Things Work Together for Good | Romans

When life is good, it’s easy to quote Romans 8:28 that “all things work together for good.” But what about when life is not so good… is this verse still true? Are other verses in the Bible still true when our life circumstances do not fit with the promises of the Bibler? The answer is YES. It’s not that the Bible promise is lacking, it’s that our understanding or perspective is lacking. Today, Pastor Gary takes us through Romans 8:28 so that we can have a proper understanding and perspective of God’s promise that “all things work together for good.”

He needs a miracle and has struggled his entire life trying to stay alive. The doctors can no longer treat him as he’s so weak and frail. But his family is believing for a miracle. I was a hard working person, had all kinds of friends and was loving life. I considered myself to be a good Christian. Then about fifteen years ago that whole life crashed and burned. I developed an illness that stole my energy and my mobility. I became too sick to work and it sent me into a deep depression. However, this sudden halt to my busy life made it possible for me to walk closer to Jesus. Over the years I have become more and more aware that I had not been living life as Jesus commands us! Only took me twelve years to start realizing this! So, yes, being so sick for so long is not good physically. But spiritually, it has brought me much joy and peace! A few months ago I began seeing a decrease in the symptoms and have actually been able to help in church activities to build up the Kingdom of Heaven! It is humbling to receive God's healing hand. I can say if I were to relapse, I am still secure in Jesus.
Never lose hope and keep reminding yourself that the earthly life is just a blip in our eternal life with God.

This verse is TRUE even when PAINFUL. When my husband divorced me to marry his secretary it HURT me very BADLY. However after we divorced my life was colorful and although like a gigantic roller coaster, I have been very blessed I wrote books, I bought and sold houses, and made so much money that I could donate to Christian ministries and give thousands financial gifts, in short I am living in abundance even in my late 80s. Besides this story there were many times I was very worried, hurt and very mad, but when I think of this verse, I feel very good and SURELY I receive MUCH BETTER, GREATER and MUCH MORE than what I wanted.

Because all the feast given to us for remembering them are the rehearsal for the wedding with the Lamb.
All these feast are the principles for our names to be in the book of life to be read in a the day of Judgment in front of ALMIGHTY GOD

As our faithful God often does, He provided this message for me specifically today, after just receiving disappointing news concerning our family's desire to have a baby. We trust you, Lord. We know you hear our prayers and you always work for our good.
It’s very hard to believe this verse in a broken and fallen world. Honestly! Faith and prayer help us to remain faithful and hopeful.
As a life long Christian, I wish with all my being that this is true. However, there is no good in childhood cancer, there is no good in October 7th in Israel, there is no good in Alzheimer's disease. The list goes on. It's tough to focus on eternity when we endure so much suffering in the present.
I think it all comes down to how we define good. We say God is good all the time. We want to define good as whatever is pleasant or peaceful or smooth. But God is good even when things are absolute chaos. And we are taught in scripture that whatever God allows or ordains in the life of the believer is for our benefit. We are sharpened and shaped by everything HE does to and for us.
Just as Paul says in Philippians, Rejoice in the Lord always. How can we do this? Because in the Lord there is always something to rejoice about. 1 Thessalonians tells us that being thankful always is Gods will.

My family has loved watching church since before covid, we are now still watching but we are living our faith daily . Trusting Jesus for everything. We moved from annapolis md. To bogo cebu philippines God is so good living in these end times praying we are a blessing to those around us. Family and neighbors.

Romans 8 reveals to us that JESUS is the living Torah.
Which JESUS came to earth to fulfill the Torah(Matthew 5:17) so all the appointment times of obedience in Levitcus 23 and Deuteronomy 16 were showed to us as a perfect example to remember them.
Thank you, so so so helpful, we don’t always understand what God is doing/allowimg in our lives, but we can always always trust Him. If you wonder where God in your situation, know that He is right in the middle, even when you cannot see Him. Our God is so good.
My husband took his life four months ago. I didn’t get to say “I’m sorry” or “I love you” or “good bye”…. I didn’t get to see him. I still can’t believe it. This is not true. This can’t be true. God!!! I m sorry!! I miss him!!!!!!!
