Honestly, even today, we can get a good everyday laptop for 45k but coming to phones, it's an entirely different story..

Smartphones these days are more prevalent than laptops and companies are just trying to capitalise on the market.
You can see this with various platforms too. Facebook and Twitter used to have a different interface for the web version. Now they look the same as they do in a smartphone. CZcams too is going in that direction ever since Shorts. So platforms now are adapting to phone-centric interface rather than PC, which is unfortunate.
i agree with 45k but the laptop argument is pretty silly.

The Glyph LEDs will always be a gimmick. You flip the phone and you can see more information than what those LED on the back can show. Purpose defeated without even doing anything.
I still find it useful especially for low light portrait pics and flip to glyph feature

Facts, give something useful like led notification instead or headphone jack with a good dac instead of this gimmick, wasted potential honestly
That's the main point of having that glyph feature. Sometimes people checks notifications and continues to use the phone because we get too many notifications from too many apps and also I barely have 4-5 images I took from my phone camera. I don't use that feature at all. So can I call the camera feature a gimmick now?

In this part I'd like to mention one point.
As we can see Pixel is doing a good job too in stabilizing the video, no doubt Nothing Phone is doing better. But my point is that Nothing Phone crops the video too much to get that kind of stabilization, however in case of Pixel you can see there's a huge area the camera is covering in the video and also maintaining the stability.
I'd say Pixel is better for video too.

The “Nothing” team are good at hyping up their products, but they are not honest. They advertise that they provide 3 years of OS update, but they launch the phone a month before the release of Android 14, so they count it as 3 years. In fact, there are only 2 years of OS update.

OnePlus seems more sense when it comes to price to performance ratio and service centers across India, support from the OnePlus community, charging, and the display looks very premium on OnePlus.

Yes! Nothing gave free replacement to those having dirt issues. However, nothing doesn't give free lines, so don't know about replacing for that....
If they make a mini version of it, I can see that becoming popular as there is a lack of small handy phones. Only phone in my mind comes is Asus Zenfone or iPhone mini
They won't. Majority of the phones from big players are large/similarly sized because it's cheaper to buy already available parts than to mould new ones and make the internals fit that size. Mr.WhoseTheBoss has a good video on it.
11R any day is better. You confirmed that the Nothing phone pricing should be around 35K.
35K phone + 2k charger=37K.
Note that, 11R has charger in the box. Side by side comparison with 11R makes Nothing phone mediocre.

The reason i m excited for nothing is not because of nothing itself but the fact that now Oneplus will have to optimize Oxygen OS even further with more features, and little to no blotware...like it used to be a few years back...

A major part of buying a phone for me is the UI. Nothing has one of the coolest UI out there, topped only by Apple and Pixel for me. It nails the aesthetics part of the phone in every single aspect, and for that I don't mind paying a few extra bucks.

The 8+Gen1 is not cheap, though. You could buy a Poco F5 Pro which is like 15K cheaper than this, but that one has the notorious Xiaomi Deadboot System and more bloatware than there are trees in this world... 😮
What about the recent launch from Iqoo with the same chipset?
I still think its around 3-4k costlier; i agree it has a distinct personality but for a user the most used feature is camera where it has not improved much; and Nothing is already charging a premium before the Brand is established; so I will wait for Nothing 3 and stick to my iphone
For now, the camera is still better than 11r in most areas. Also, I've seen what Nothing can do with updates so I'm not worried. They bring out the full potential of that IMX890 in future.
@@Yash_008_ may be you are right; but i need that reliability from a solid camera system ( i dont care about number of lenses, 2 is sufficient); i am not sure whether they can do a lot with image processing sw ; actually none in the Android space does a lot on image processing apart from pixel ( or may be samsung); i really want Nothing to focus on the sw side of the camera but i think it will take some time for a company like Nothing because it lacks scale; when oneplus was led by Carl he also wanted to make an iPhone of the Androids; i bought that vision and bought many OP phones; but finally it disappeared in the crowd; with Nothing also Carl has a similar vision; but i really want them to be more consistent this time

Oneplus used to be something back in the day. But, now I don't even want to buy it even if I get it for as low as 35k.
I prefer a more neat clean phone experience with a good feel in hand. Also, considering that this is Nothing's second phone they really did a great job with this phone. I rarely use my camera so I don't have much problem with that either and when it comes to pricing I strongly think we can get this for 40-42k in some time.

That carema bug also happened on my nothing phone 1.. exactly like you showed. Tried factory reset and everything, but didnt work. My phone was on lastest update as well And i tried contacting nothing customer care and also on official nothing ig account and they responded to me on both recommending me to go to the service centre, but i couldn't. But somehow after a month or 2, when nothing gave 1.5.5 update my camera started working again.

S23 is very small, not everyone fan of such compact phones. Also during BBD sale, price of nothing 2 will also fall. So compare nothing 2 price with s23 price now, and there is huge difference.

I think for a good performance comparison it is better to compare it with Iqoo Neo 7 pro. They both have same processor. Iqoo Neo 7 pro is cheaper than nothing phone 2.
I think both will give same performance. Both let the users to use full capacity of the processor unlike OnePlus and samsung who uses underclocked processor

How can we turn on the message preview option in nothing phone 2 ? I can't see the name and reply to watsapp messages from the notification.
I tried updating the settings in the notification tab in settings, but it dosent work.
Well the two years old galaxy S20FE 5g seems like a lot better option than this one; QS 865,IP 68, long term stable software updates,excellent front and rear cameras with telephoto in the back and now it is available at 27k. Probably the best option out there.

Firstly it had quality control issue, I had to visit service centre within 1 month of purchase.
The volume buttons fell off, again had to visit service centre.
Now, coming to the real issues,
1- Overheating even with normal browsing with mobile data.
2- ridiculous battery backup
3- Really slow charging with the provided 15W charger. I had to buy an 25W charger from olx @700

CEO said they were making a premium phone. What does premium mean according to them?

Pixel 7 is way better because you will not always put your phone upside down otherwise it will get scratches or put a screen protector. The main benefit of pixel 7 is its cameras because it beats nothing as well as 14 pro in night photography and overall its camera is way better than the nothing phone 2.(Not to forget the nothing phone 2 bugs)
Overheating issues though, and cpu, not the best just yet.
In sales I say S22, for better camera sensor but need to adjust with adaptive refresh rate and the battery and heating issues. Yes I know its a year old but still there are some people who wants One UI

I already bought phone 2, didn't even want to look towards OnePlus anymore after the death of oxygen OS. I could have thought about the pixel but due to its low performance and not the powerful chipset I ignored it. So for me phone 2 left only option in this price range.

It's okay. This phone is not a camera centric phone. I accepted that fact. It offers a great UI experience, smooth display, cool features in the form of widgets, glyphs lights. If your focus is on camera then you should rather go with Samsung s23 FE. My brother bought it last week it's a fantastic phone.

Want to see a short video of camera comparision of nothing phone 2 vs oneplus 11 due to the same primary camera sensor even though oneplus 11 is flagship
A very relevant question that the intelligent folks at Nothing will find difficult to answer is : the build quality and overall looks of the NP1 at 30 k is in the same ballpark as that of the NP2, atleast from afar. The "familiarity" in design which they are trying to promote as a feature can actually backfire in the long run.
A tech geek will obviously explore all options at the 45k mark and NP2 in terms of pure specs at least doesn't seem to be a convincing argument. Disco lights can go only so far in making an impression.
Whereas on the other end of the consumer spectrum, someone who doesn't care much about the specs but is all for the good looks and unique identification factor of the Nothing phone series can always get a NP1 and be done with it.
Therein lies the rub.
I feel Nothing about this video 😁
I expect any phone with Physical LED notification, 3.5mm Jack, Alert Slider, Expandable memory slot, Physical Fingerprint scanner.

i was actually one of the people who got a bad batch nothing phone 1
my back glass was lose around the corner, i didnt bother replacing or fixing it, and... now i have to get a new phone becuz i droped it in water and its almost unusable
although it survied quite well for like first 20 times i droped it in water and considering i droped it in dirty salty water and littrally ABUSED the phone. its impressive it has survived
so i think ill be exchanging for the phone 2
