Not everyone at freelancer websites is expert in all of their areas. It is recommended to have knowledge good enough that you can delivery work independently. Even if you are not an expert but you know how to provide solutions and solve problems, it should be fine. Thanks

@Shreyas, it depends how you have negotiated with your company and local work laws in country, if your company knows that you do additional work outside your office work hours which is not a conflict of business then its not illegal. Its illegal to do extra work only if you do extra work in similar business areas as your company does. Hope it helps. Thanks, Manish
