Hi, have you tried to fit the reversing camera?
Nope
Nice review. The screen dimming is probably auto-brightness. Go on display in settings and set it manually instead. I think you need to pull your heater dials off and put round knobs on, would look much more up -to-date.

I also have this stereo, seems decent for what it cost. Also use CZcams for all my music works fine only irritation is when u turn car off then start up again it goes to radio not where u left it. Other than that is decent.

Check your cables or there might not be alot of power going through it when you turn your lights on or even if just triggers it.
I really wish you'd have driven around, and demonstrated the maps navigation.... All well and good seeing the start up lagging... But what it like when being used for what it's meant to do 🤷
Screen will automatically dim when you turn on the headlights if brightness mode is set to ‘auto’. It will even stay at 100% but still be dimmer. Very clever actually. Just set it to ‘light’ and your screen will stay bright and shine

I've just installed this, my steering controls are not working and I can't use apple car play and android auto. Any way you could help
Did you have any issues fitting the facia. I have the same stereo and and same car but I'm finding it extremely tight and it won't sit in correctly. Once the stereo is on I'm finding it very laggy opening apps. Where did u put the GPS antenna did u move it from on top of the stereo. Can you use Google maps and music at the same time.
My maps and DAB+ also don't work.. any help cheers
I had one of these, they chugged alot even for a 6gb model and the side buttons stopped working, it then developed a habit of cycling through the menus, I gave it the benefit of the doubt and stuck the old one back in to see if the cycling issue happened for the old one and it was fine, got another replacement one that looks like the original unit but with a bigger screen (has the same functionalities as this unit) and the issues went away. I opened the unit and the massive heat sync in the back does pretty much nothing, its why there are updated versions now with 2 cooling fans
Far cheaper from AliExpress. Ordered the 2g-32g version for 84 quid with free shipping. I got the rear view reversing camera too. Apparently that links up nicely. But I will say that if you have never used AliExpress before you might be waiting anything from a week up to a month for things to arrive. Its a bit hit and miss.

Did you have issues with the hazard lights? Annoyingly the two clips you mentioned came off in the stereo unit itself which is annoying and can’t work out how to get them out. I have now noticed the hazard “hole” seems to be too small and the hazards stay on and can’t get them off
Oh right yeah I didn’t have any issues with it being too small. Fit perfect on mine!

Do you find it sticks out a bit at the bottom? I didn’t add the clips from the previous stereo surround but they really didn’t want to come off it.

How did you get the steering control to work was it an adapter or did you find the scw wire cheers .
There is an app on the unit called SW controls and you just program it to how you want

Did you managed to enter advanced setup? What is the MCU version firmware (and MCU type, not CPU, MCU) also do you know what is the audio chipset Type? I am guessing that for that price is does not have an DSP?

Hi mate, I would however I don't have any experience with any others so it is difficult to recommend a certain one, I would suggest going for a branded unit or one which you have heard good things about.
Can you help ive just installed mine and the logo wont change you click on it all as normal and press ok and it just doesnt do it any ideas

How does the internet work on there with things like youtube and satnav? Does it come from your phones data? Also can satnav be used offline?
Yep exactly that mate. I used to just set up a hotspot from my phone
Can you please describe, how long does it take to power up, when you turn the car on. Is it always on? I'm trying to understand how this radios operate turning on and off
Couple seconds to power up and it turns on and off as you would expect it to. You can turn it on while the car is off also like normal
@@ModifiedCentral How about current draining when car is stopped ? If I don't start my car for one month shall my battery be dead? I've heard something about bad comunication with car ecu,is it true?
How do you find the big screen with reflections ? Interested in one off these but not sure if having the bigger screen is wasted by constant light replections when your looking at it for google maps ect. Cheers
Tbf ive had no issues with glare at all really. Although I have tinted windows and a sun strip so I don’t know whether that’s helped or not but yeah no problems mate

My volume controls on the strearing don’t work and when I tried to set it up just keeps giving me an error

I don’t remember exactly but it’s like SW controls. It allows you to program the steering wheel controls so that each button works as it should

- What's the CPU on your model?
- What version of Android?
- 2 years after posting this is it still going well? Is it still fast enough?
- Did it come with the Carbon fibre look or did you add that yourself?

It comes with a GPS anthenna...you can use whatever app you like..Google maps etc

How did you end up with the carbon wrap? Thats the only thing that is annoying me with these tablets.
To be honest in the end I took it off as I hadn’t done a great job with the edges on the wrap. If you can afford it get it hyrdrodipped!!
@@ModifiedCentral Yeah I LOVE the carbon effect and really hate the silver. One question I do have. Does the tablet pop out the silver surround easily? As I might just spray matt black instead.

I believe it varies per unit mate. Mine is 1617 so try that but not sure it will work

Hi there does this unit actually save the station of the radio and does it come up with the name of the radio like radio 1 smooth ect.
Hi mate, yes you can set the radio to save to 1,2,3,4,5, or 6. I dont think it says on the screen the name of the radio station immediately, just says the frequency
