Pretty cool, but I wish they would have started with the beginning of Dragon Ball instead of where most people over here know it as Dragon Ball Z. Personally those early sagas from Dragon Ball were my favorite, but I know VIZ is doing what'll make them money.
Nice comparisons too. Totally dig the copic marker coloring look as well.

So far there's only been 3 Full Color DBZ volumes released in English. The last was in the first half of last year. It's a shame but they may not be selling well, so they might not release the rest in English. The Japanese have the whole manga in full color.

Original manga was so small, because (just like books printed in "pocked" editions) it was meant to be read everywhere, on the bus, in the park, while waiting in the line in the shop, et cet.
The bigger prints are made exclusively for collections and to admire pictures, so they need to be bigger.

I like the original colored pages more but that has a lot do to with I don't care for digital coloring. It just don't fit compared to marker or watercolors that are traditionally used in manga.
Yeah right?! It just looks so wrong to me. Half assed even. The watercolors actually look like the anime. The digital colors remind me of Dragonball Super.

Don't fit? The vizbig version looks like how a color blind person sees things. The full color version is 100x better
God I wish they'd focus more on the original Dragon Ball in America...like give us the damn ORIGINAL Dragon Box and stuff already...

Currently I'm collecting the Dragon Ball, Z and Super manga in the original format.
I found the original format more intriguing and comfortabel to read (as intended I suppose).
Over time I'm going to get the full color experience as well, but I'm skipping out on the 3in1's.
I actually started started about a week ago and what a trip down memory lane! 😊
PS: I already own DB Vol 1,2,3,4,5,6 DBZ Vol 1,2,3,4 and DBS Vol 1,2,3.
I got volume 4 of the freeze saga going to be collecting more I hope they do the cell saga soon

They should really do more colored editions for classic manga
Like naruto, death note, and Fullmetal alchemist
If they're coloured, they wouldn't be manga anymore, they'd be comics. Fullmetal editions for fullmetal alchemist are the perfect way of collecting. Black editions for death note. Just don't colour all of them. People are pissed off even when they change right to left reading order to left to right. We care very much about originality and no censorship.

@@thedudecalledalan9095 I wouldn't call it a huge success since I've *never* seen any manga tuber collect these editions. If it were that successful, they would've printed more much quicker, they clearly didn't sell enough. Oh well, people who want them will buy them.

+Mr. Mule It's a bit to me because I was hoping to collect the series but I'm mainly trying to save money. With the price that one of the color books is I might be able to buy 2 vizbig ones. Plus I was hoping to buy this if it had as many chapters as the vizbig ones do.
Ah, the full color edition costs about the same, but has much less chapters. That being said, you get more for your money, so I recommend you save your money and get those. That is unless you prefer the black & white, in which case VIZBIG is the one you want.

I want to buy Dragon Ball Manga ( not z ! ) would you recomend the original 16 volumes or the vizbig's ( lets put the price aside ) and I heard that the vizbigs pages are more white and that the page's are thiner than the original volumes is this true ? ( I like the gray style )
That is 3 in 1 not vizbig and I would recommend vizbig because it is far more convenient and takes up less space
Because of there being less volumes and it still has 3 volumes in 1
Its all preference I prefer the Original 16 volumes because its compact and easy to read when Im up and about the Vizbigs are more bulky. The Vizbigs however have those nice colored pages and its more compact on your bookshelf.
I recommend Dragon Ball 3-in-1. It covers the entire story without splitting it up in to the Dragon Ball Z name

***** Not anytime soon. It's not even up on their release date calendar on their official site. If I had to take a guess, it will be released after they finish releasing the Freeza Saga via the 3 in 1 DBZ manga they recently started releasing (which is up to the Ginyu chapters). Those are pretty crap in quality and I'm sure they don't want to take sales away from them with the full colored manga release. I wouldn't expect the 4th book to be released till Fall at the very earliest.

they never finished releasing the original mangas in my country, i think im going to re-buy everything in english, the vizbig editions look like cheap and pretty close alternative to the original ones..
I recommend you buy the Dragon Ball 3-in-1 edition. It is the least censored version. It is black and white. It covers the entire story from start to finish. It also resembles the Japanese versions in terms of the name. It doesn't split from Dragon Ball to Dragon Ball Z, thankfully. Just stays as, Dragon Ball.
here in india a single volume is worth 5-6 or 7$ (any franchise)

Hunter Forsberg Originally bulma's hair was suppouse to be purple, but the anime later changed it to blue. It looks like Trunks isn't the only one that can change hair color at will.XD
Hunter Forsberg In the manga (colored pages) it's purple (which is the TRUE color). The anime changed her hair color and other colors for multiple characters. That's why trunks's hair is purple.💯

Every ki in Dragon Ball is yellow, therefore the Super Saiya-jin makes even more sense.

Orange. Just as in that same edition you can see Bulma's hair in two different colors. A blue-ish purple in the beginning and later it's red.
Follow the anime color scheme and you'll be alright. :D
