He made Aquasilk look free, beat PR Balrog, and was able to hold his own against Justin..still! Sanford made this happen folks, otherwise ya'll wouldn't have seen these incredible matches. And, Sanford Kelly's heart was weighted during the whole event 'cause one of the east coast fgc members that was close to him died.. you could see how stressed he was at times, and he still found courage to smile and have fun. Just incredible man, incredible.

Sanford may be a bit too confident at times but theres no doubting his skill as a player, especially in long sets. What a great ending and show of sportsmanship, GGs to both. The respect at the end from Sanford was something you honestly don't see that often, instead of going off as soon as it ended he jumped up to give Justin a hug...even with the only reason him losing was a flaw with the mechanics of his character (ultra being buggy as all hell). These on the edge of your seat genuine matches that are sadly getting rarer and rarer these days are what drives that excitement and anticipation of the game, both technical and mental! Good stuff Team Spooky for holding down the stream like always, making it possible to see these amazing sets for people that couldn't make it.

The Justin Wong vs Sanford Rivalry has been one of the greatest we've ever seen in the States. Back during the Prime Years of MvC2 (The superior Marvel vs game over UMvC3 by far) these two guys put up some of the greatest matches we've seen. If people think ChrisG is dominant in UMvC3...go back and watch Justin Wong from 2001-2004, he was Untouchable in MvC2 during that span and arguably the overall best fighting game player in the US. I remember how in every single MvC2 tournament Justin went too...he won. 4 Straight wins at Evolution in MvC2, this guy was The Man. Sanford was the guy whom was always considered #2 in the world, but could never best Justin & so it was a rivalry that started in which would last for years on end. If they ever make a Marvel vs game in which Sanford really likes because he's not a fan of UMvC3, then we would definitely see this rivalry come back into fruition. Love the hype, Love the Drama, Love the Respect between these two players.
He did, but that was after the 4 years of Iron Fist domination that Justin held in this game from 2001-2004...nobody defeated him during that era. It was 2005 onward in which Justin actually became human in MvC2 that other greats started to be able to beat him.

I think these FT5's with sanford are the best in the sf4 history. It was also AE 2012 which I myself consider a faster paced game than Ultra.
