Model names are not labelled correctly in some chapters.
maybe they also need to take a week off to reflect on that like LTT 😂
Right 😂
naah, they're just testing us 😂
I don't think there's anyone here that doesn't know which is which
The Pixel 8 Pro is the smarter phone, but the Galaxy S23 Ultra is definitely the better phone from a hardware and arguably software, and it is more appealing to a broader audience.
All I've seen about pixel ai is for pictures ?
I switched from Samsung to Google and prefer the Google. I have the 7 pro and can now get 2 days from a charge since I switched off wifi scanning, so battery life is fine. I prefer the stock android to One UI ( though didnt at first). Unless you're a gamer or do a lot of video editing the Tensor chip isnt an issue. Dex is athe only sasmung feature that interests me and Ive got that on my TAb S9 ultra (I never used it with my previous Samsung pphones)
@@HeNnEsSy_HiCcUpS, google it bud. There's a lot that Google has that no other phone can do yet.
No
@@HeNnEsSy_HiCcUpSLens integration, copy text from recent tasks mode, or from any photo. Best call screening of any phone. Tons of calling features that I never knew I needed. I simply don't get spam calls. Automatic Shazam from your lock screen. If I'm walking through a store and hear a song playing, I unlock my phone and Google has already identified it. Magic eraser. Remove people and objects from photos.
Additionally, S23 Ultra allows us to use 2 physical sim cards and an e-sim. While Pixel 8 allows us to use 1 physical sim card only and an e-sim. 👍
What good is that and how would you access the second sim? Like if I have two phone numbers would they both come through? Or is there a special menu to access the other number?
It's useful if you travel to other countries. E SIM is still a new technology and not all mobile providers in other countries offer it. So it means you have still have your main number and a local number for temporary use. Also, esim tariffs are very, very expensive compared to physical SIM. @@jcap8391
@@jcap8391if you have two Sims inside the phone, you choose a default number to make calls with but you can customise which number is used before making a call. You can also configure contacts in your phone and set it so when they are called, the phone knows which number to use. Also, you have duplicate applications for WhatsApp etc. it's really useful for those that need it. Think being a business owner, instead of carrying two phones, you can do it all on one.
All these comparisons make me look forward to the S24 Ultra even more. Not sure about some of the rumours like the zoom being dropped from 10x to 5x, but the flat screen would be great, and I'm sure it'll be brighter than the P8 Pro.
I'm cracking off on my 23 ultra and loving it. If the zoom gets any better at all on the 24 it'll be most insane.
I shit every time I see my Disney World pictures and can zoom in on a photo taken at the animal kingdom and see details that should be impossible for a "phone" to capture. I've taken aback quite a few people in person just showing off that same aforementioned photo after zooming past my children and keeping on going towards that tree of life and all of its creatures jumping off of it. #200MP FTW.
And so glad I bought the 1TB and hope the next iteration sports the spoken of 2TB.
bright enough to burn your eyes
S24 Ultra will not change things much. Some improvements here and there. Samsung need to keep working on shutter lag.
@AfroTech Surely at 200MP. Even so, their efforts are surely paying off. Especially if anything is moving at a decent clip. Although my photos mentioned before weren't meant to capture anything, but my children I did however capture a bird in the sky along with everyone in the photo "not knowing" and moving about still clear as day....
@@iAfroTech Samsung is incapable of fixing the shutter lag, absolutely inexcusable on a $1000+ devices especially
The Pixel 8 Pro camera has the best image pipeline for stills is just feels like there's life in the images versus the sharp clinical digitized look from most cell phones
Wrong labelling from 1:37
I own both and honestly, the "older" S23U is overall a better phone.
Both take great photos, with different approach to processing. Both have pros and cons, like S23u has slight curve on screen and has less brightness (you wont notice much in day to day life). But P8P has curved entire shape like iphone, so it cuts slightly into videos in all screen mode.
But the S23U has MUCH better battery life, louder and better speakers (livelier, more bass, clearer), better square shape screen for content, smaller front camera (less intrusive in video watching), charges faster. also, the 8 gen 2 destroys the Tensor G3, and tho in day to day you wont notice much in socials apps, gaming is another topic altogether, where the 8gen2 GPU beats even the apple A17 pro in gaming (or so I heard, as I dont play games on phone)
If nothing else, I would take a phone with better battery life any day, and if it has a nicer screen and speakers, thats a bonus.
Im a youtube, reddit, browsing, podcast guy. I cant have a phone thats lacking in sound, screen or battery life. the battery life is just still not there for the top Pixels. Has a pixel 6 pro too. Charged it daily. S23U? 3 days light use, 2 days medium, 1 day heavy use youtube, reddit, internet, calls, messaging, updates, mails...I get 10h SOT
If you fully use your S23 Ultra, you will notice differences between Tensor G3 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and also UFS 3.1 vs UFS 4.0. You buy a S23 Ultra for Cameras, shooting Photos and Videos, transferring datas on your 💻 frequently. Pixel 8 Pro using old technology in the end of 2023 is non sense.
Also, Samsung Routines are really powerful. Reviews should talk much about this feature, still useful on Galaxy smartphones. Same for duplicate apps.
I had a Galaxy S23 Ultra and have been using a Pixel 8 Pro for 3 weeks now. The Galaxy is better in almost every way and I regret switching to the Pixel. I'm looking forward to the pixel9, but will it be better than the s24?
Thank you for your review. I’m considering taking my iPhone 15 pro max in for a S23 Ultra.
I have both too. Comapred to the p8p the s23u is not smooth and cam often wrong color. Screen also better on p8p. S23u hase more features and better battery life.
if only the review video just stated this... smfh...ty sir for saving me wasting 8 mins.
Totally agree! I bought a Pixel 8 instead my "old" s23. Having had both for a week, I would say S23 is better in any area. The latter is more reliable, has a better battery life and much more customizable.
If you set it flat on a table does it wobble when you type?
of course@@youtubedev0
that's so cool! @@willian4428
Its irrelevant for 99 percent people as its more comfortable holding in arms.
@@youtubedev0 S23U does not wobble *if* the silicon case is put. Without the case however ,it's a wobble machine. Tried this right now.
1:03 The names are flipped the wrong way around.
I'm on my fourth week with my pixel April and I'm really liking it a lot. I'mma wait till the s24 ultra comes out then I'll probably add that to my arsenal
Now i know that the s23 ultra is the Pixel and the Pixel is a Samsung phone after all 😂
The only thing the pixel has over the galaxy is the still camera. Really, when it comes to picture it is all personal preferance for all smart phones. I do prefer the pixel stills only. Also I love the speech to text on the pixel. It is great just speaking and then it dictate your voice into text. Gboard on the pixel is the best with that. But as an overall phones with great battery life, charging speed, great modem, the galaxy is the better options over the pixel. A phone has to work and be reliable. I give the win to Samsung over the pixel. But I switch up to the pixel from time to time.
I showed my s23u to my friend and he said the cameras are not what he thought it would be. The sky at night is like a blue screen. The colors are just... idk. Strange and not real.
But I did choose samsung for the
1. Better and more powerful hardware
2. 100 zoom which is just crap.
3. Good video stabilisation
I will think if I want to sell it and buy an P8P instead.
In reviews and comparisons, please pay attention to portrait shots rather than landscape shots.
Good comparison! ❤
Happy with my P8P 🙂
Another primary advantage of Samsung S23 Ultra is the Network modem Snapdragon X70 while in the Pixel 8 pro, it is Exynos 5300 plagued with connectivity issues. This means no frequent random call drops, steady WiFi, no 4G-5G switching issues, and better connectivity in poor signal areas with Samsung.
I read that it’s based on the exynos, not the same thing
In europe S23U 512G @~same price of Pixel8P 256G, why should I look at Google?
The pixel supports reverse wireless charging as well just pull down ur notification center then quick toggles and click battery share
Hi all!
I need a new phone and I have a question: I'd love to get the Samsung S23 Ultra (because of the S-Pen)..but I really don't want to miss out on all the awesome stuff only the Google Pixel series gets.
What do you think? What would I miss if I got the Samsung device? Maybe Google AI features only the Pixel devices get?
Would love to receive a reply :-)
Werner from Austria
Did anyone notice, the zoomed out images of galaxy, (looked like ultra wide) were slanting on the sides. Foe example, the building on extreme left/right were slant in s23, whereas in pixel they were straight how they should be.
Some of the tags are incorrect. The Pixel images have S23 test (e.g Screen, space and quality features) The Pixel has the rounded corners, no? This makes it confusing. Thought you'd like to know.
S23 ultra and iPhone 15 pro max are the 2 best i tested this year.
Don't forget; The S23 ultra video camera is better to zoom in and out, the pixel stutters too much for my liking and needs to refocus. I also made a video myself in the dark and that was not so good with the pixel.
how is the camera for taking pictures on moving objects, like cats or kids? Do you ever see blurry images?
@@youtubedev0 Unfortunately yes.
@ 1:00 mark, do you see the error in the video?
Who was editing this video Johnny Walker 😂
GSMArena what is going on with the video edits ?😩
*DUDE - where to find blue Galaxy S23 Ultra?!?! @ **1:06* read in top right corner
Tags for phone names are not correct in a video so it's not even clear which photos were taken by which phone. Such a small detail and yet very important.
I'd like to see a review of the Pixels DNG raw photo support... for photographers it might be a deciding factor if it provides real benefits. I have owned many Samsung phones from AT&T and the amount of uninstallable bloatware is crazy... another win for the Pixel.
Hyper OS vs MIUI vs One UI vs Color OS speed test and features pls!
It's the physical dual SIM for me.
I travel/work between two countries so I have two SIM cards with their Teleco having no plan of transitioning to eSIM. So it's the Samsung for me. Really did want the Pixel though.
Missed the portrait shots comparison
Loving my P8P. Simply awesome. 💪🔥
The screen size of Samsung makes me choose S23 Ultra. 6.7 inches is somehow kinda small for me now. The 6.8 is the sweet spot
6.8 but curved..? the dumbest thing ever brought to phones ever and why i've ignored samsung entirely?
6.8 curved might as well be 6.0" flat. with the added perk of constantly accidentally tapping the right side of the screen when you don't mean to, covering up part of your screen with cases, and just all around hassle and horribleness.
s24 is flat screen. so i might get an s24. it's not up to you.
@@sharpnova2 I'm currently using a phone with a 6.8 curved right now and I don't feel it as the "dumbest" but the opposite rather. We do have our own preference and yours are valid as well as mine.
@@sharpnova2bro, you're exaggerated description of how small a curved screen could be is hilarious 😂. I currently own a note10 plus with a 6.8 inch curved screen, it's amazing, and it's definitely bigger than 6.7 inch screens.
Dude be quiet. 6.7 vs 6.8 is, stupid to sit there and act like that's much of a difference at all. It isn't. You have to be trolling.
Haven't owned a Samsung in a while. I'm willing to try it again, but I guess it's best to wait for the s24
Anyone else notice the phones are labeled backwards? Oops!
You didn't mention the price tho
Xiaomis with Snapdragon 8 gen 3 vs 8 gen 2 vs Dimensity 9300 vs 9200+ pls! (Especially UI smoothness)
S23 Ultra is better. No doubt.
How can anyone upvote any video that the creator has labeled incorrectly? One of which is the entirety of the point of the video.......... a comparison!
Why are samsungs features like splitscreen and pop up view not featured? I use them all the time and pixel doesn't have access to them.
Pixel has both those things.
My S23 Ultra does not drop to 1hertz as marketed by Samsung, it drop to 24 hertz when the AOD shows, but no one is talking about it. why? is this happening with just me.? it's a nice phone overall but it randomly drops frames, making it look like it's lagging and unable to handle the caches or stuff which should not be the case as it has the top-notch hardware.
1:00 Uhmmm... i know phones look the same nowadays but come on
Im torn which should i get the a54 or redmi note 12 pro
go for itel
If updating is important to you, then Google makes more sense. Because while Samsung will give 4 major updates, Google will give at least around 10 major updates. In all other respects Samsung is better.
nobody watching these type videos are gonna keep a phone 7 years lets be real lol also just the battery wouuldnt hold up that long without being swapped out , 5 years is plenty enough for majority of us
Did AI edit this video?
So many errors
This is like the longest GSMarena video 😂😂😂
I have always had and enjoyed Samsung. Ive used them for the last decade. They have always been the technical best phone option. I am very open to switching to Pixel, mainly for the AI features. However, they will need to improve the battery time before i will take the jump.
For me samsung is the best mobile in the world,i am adore the samsung😊😊😊😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I HAVE BOTH EQUIPMENT, AND THE ONLY SUPERIOR THING THAT THE SAMSUNG HAS IS THE ZOOM AND ITS SCREEN, IN EVERYTHING ELSE THE PIXEL 8 PRO WINS
please add to your test moon photography and astrophotography
s23 ultra is beast💪🏻
Imagine these pictures were taken on a cloudy day, you could not see in the pixel photos clearly.
I know they are both flagships, but it seems like a stretch to compare the two. The ultra is 50-60% more expensive. Like comparing a 4090 gpu to anything else on the market. A comparison with a normal s23 would be more in line. the difference in price is less than 10%, and nothing if one is on sale.
Ordered the pixel 8 pro because I prefer Google over Samsung, bye flip 5!
The Ultra is 100€ more expensive, if one is choosing the version with 8gb of ram. The version with the same 12gb of ram as the 8 Pro is nearly 300€ more expensive. Just for the notes.
Harware Compatibility should not be major concern .
Depends if you want better display quality and camera then pixel 8 pro is best choice as well as ai if you want great gaming then s23ultra
Actually the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has the better display quality.
do the s23 fe vs pixel 8
Portrait photography missed😢
It’s like photos aren’t even actual pictures anymore. Like, how much of a photo nowadays is just software edits? Idk. Seems like a camera is barely useful anymore lol
Pixel phones still doesnt feel complete as they have issues with main pillars of a phone like battery , network quality, heating, performance etc. I hope in 2 years we can see great pixel flagships
Editing is wrong
S23U shits on P8P all over bar camera performance, no contest. Can't imagine how shit the battery life is considering how less powerful the chipset on the Pixel 8 is.
I had the s23 ultra and playing COD mobile was just super smooth. I now have the pixel 8 and it doesn't hold a candle to Samsung.
The big thing I like to point out about the p8p vs the s23u, samsung makes the chips for the google, they know how crap they are so they don't even put it in there own phone
What are you talking about. They can't legally put the G series chips in their phones without Googles permission of which Google isn't giving them permission too anyhow. The tensor chips has capabilities that Samsung phones don't have due to the different chipset including a ton of A.I. features.
The differences don't really matter much at all unless you heavy game which most folks don't. Google is coming along. I'm going Samsung as I tried both and almost went pixel, but the battery life on the S23/24 is just better and is what's pulling me there.
@@kerrydaniels8460 Samsung manufactures the Google tensor chips, they're based on the high end Exynos at the time, Samsung knows how dog those chips are so they chose to not put them in there own flagship phones, all Google does to make the chip is ad their ai bits and some other stuff, but it's still a Samsung chip at it's core
Being able to multi-task is key to me, so the s23 Ultra wins.
the right is s23 and the left is pixel 8🤣
1:43 wrong mistakenly titles are swapped phones are different and titles are different @GSMArena Official
the editor really need a coffee while editign the video, most of sectons the test with phone name and video are not alligned
Already pulled the s23 tho
Putting simply s23 ultra is more premium device in many respects, more feature rich. Some may like pixels camera optimisations or stock android. If you can get for similar price, without hesitation 23 ultra wins. Hands down
GSMArena is the Best❤❤❤
google pixel 5 review please
Was used forever Samsung but now I don't like because with screen protector fingerprint tooo much trouble Samsung . I used s23 o my god headache finger print . Just I think way not try pixel really really good Betty nice smoothly touch finger print with protection screen very fast now I decided I am just using more pixel is the best fingerprint and battery health . I can't need camera. . Same time for documents I need camera I don't think about camera . Very smoothly very fast not hanging not any issues voice very clear sounds clear more then Samsung I love pixel ❤
If youre an android guy, better wait for s24 lineup
Keep in mind - Pixel 8 Pro has no 5G, VoLTE and VoWiFi in most Balkans countries.
Did nobody chrck this video before it went out or since? Full of errors, graphics labelling pixel 8 pro as s23 ultra and vice versa.
Said pixel 8 pro doesn't have reverse wireless charging when it does
S23 Ultra 👑 easy.

Is no one going to talk about the wrong labeling
In timestamp 1:00 you have splittscreen and you hacmve labled the wrong phone to them lol see its wrong phone one the side by side at that timestamp of the video.
Wow!!! Another review that simply glosses over some of the amazing pictures the S23 Ultra can take at a distance. The zoom really comes in handy at race car events, sports events, etc. There are a lot of shots you just can't take without it. It's like you cherry-picked what you wanted to compare to make it some like they are comparable phones.
Everybody gets a trophy these days for something, right ?
bro he uses these shots since forever for every phone review
He uses the same photos with every phone to make the comparison even
Google should rethink about their own flagship hardware. Poor CPU performance, poor battery life, useless temperature sensor.
Samsung is better, it's obvious.
Lol 😂 consider the price and the offer ? 🤔🤔🤔
Pixel is not available in my region if I have money I would buy Galaxy but I don't
You had the names wrong 😂😂
Which one? iPhone
Ha ha ha you mixed up the pages at the beginning of the video... So on the left there should be Google and on the right Samsung
Your showing the Pixel when it was the Samsung
Get Ulefone armor Tank 24 😁
The galaxy s23 ultra
I would choose the pixel 8 if it just had a snapdragon in it. 😅
Samsung Galaxy s23 Ultra Android king..... Iphone 14/15 series better s23 Ultra
May be google best
Why does the Pixel 8pro look rectangular? Wasn't it the opposite?
S23 Have 2 Samsung phones a regular and an Ultra, and they're working without a hiccup. Pixels are loaded with bugs and issues, have poor customer service. They gave me so much runaround that I'll never buy another Pixel. They're parts bin phones for Google to test their software. You are a beta tester, and instead of being paid, you're paying for doing the work. Thank you for your service. 😁
Google should not have ditched Snapdragon, the tensor chips is downgrade
I agree, let's up tensor chip gets there one day
It seems google believe that snapdragon doesn't powerful enough for their AI
Editing error😂😂😂😂
