After replacing brake turn up your brake shoes until tight release the emergency brake manually and test again then slight turn down your brake shoes so you can just just turn it... Compliments from a land rover mechanic
FYI. this is what happens if the cable at the drum end does not bite. The Epb keeps trying to bite until the stroke bites onto the Epb casing. In this case the retaining lug had come loose in the brake shoe.
I have changed that specific part but one time have funk and the second time when i wanted to try it has begon again mit thies noise what can it be now
@@nemanjavlajic6569 usually down to wrong adjustment or too much slack in the cable forcing the motor to go past the stops, when adjusting the brake shoes turn the adjusters as far as they go until it locks the drum, then back off the adjuster 10 clicks and then it should be correctly adjusted.
the other thing, is this whine noise and ticking is the cause of the epb failed?. can this consume your battery if your RRS is parked with the engine off, because since this ticking noise started my battery is draining
Whoever designed this should be sacked asap,to mount it under the vehicle is beyond belief really, unacessable and in a prime location for dirt and damp. why not use an air cylinder instead,no air equals park brake on etc, could be speed sensed for safety ?? i find it incredible that a high end vehicle with all its bells and whistles should have a system on that is prone to failure like these. if a design engineer came and demonstrated this idea id shove it up his arse, no wonder our motor industry is finished.
You need to remove the module face under the back axle. Then use a pair of grips to move the threaded bar from against the casing of the module. When the EPB cable breaks or comes detached the system automatically keeps turning the threaded bar until it feels resistance. It is looking to pull the cable tight. If the cable is not there it just keeps going until it winds against the module inner wall. It nips it solid if it goes up against the module wall and you need to manually free it off as it goes pretty tight.

Hey 1 question after installing the module should put the hand brake on before pulling on the metal wire??? Thanks

hello, i have the exact issue i wonder what is the fix for this, do you need to replace a specific part or buy new the EPB.
And they didn't learn their lesson and still used it on the disco4

And it's actually made by Renault 😂😂😂
Can anyone tell me which engine is that Johnson or other compatible engine?
Hello..how you fix this problem? I release manually the EPB cable and then makes this noise..how you adjust it? Thanks
Hi. How did you reset it?? Was it jammed/screaching?

How did you reverse this ?? With a diagnostic
No by hand. You have the threaded bar gets nipped right up to the side casing. Once its free again the system will reposition it.
mantaylor69 how did you free up ?
