- 8mm mono master and Hi8 master tapes. This is the full enchilada here, folks! Presented for the first time in full color and master quality. Shot by Dan Nicholson and Jesse Davis. Edited by Jesse Davis. The meet and greet signing was at Tower Records in Emeryville, Ca. Which was only a few miles from the Berkeley Square in Berkeley Ca. Shot mere hours before the show that day. This video includes everything from the master tapes. The highway/landscape footage of Berkeley and Emeryville, and the surrounding area. The signing was the first time I met the guys in the band (Paul, Alex Jack and Chris. Rob was not present at the signing) and in the video you can see me and Dan shooting video. You can also see me giving the band copies of the San Francisco - The Stone show from 3.9.93, on VHS tapes. After the signing, we went to the show and shot the whole show with 2 cameras as well. The entire set is seen here, and afterwards, the band comes out to chat with fans and sign stuff. This was an absolutely awesome day. it was also my birthday, i turned 26. I had only been shooting video of signed bands for 1 year at that point, and this was only the 2nd show i ever shot at Berkeley Square. The first one being the Carcass show from march 16th of 94, and you can see I'm wearing a green long sleeve Carcass shirt from that tour in the signing footage. This was the 1st of 2 shows they played at the club on the tour with Cynic and Sinister, they returned 4 days later on 6.29.94 and played another headlining set. That show will be edited and presented here on this channel as well. So will the Cynic and Sinister sets!! Very soon! Cheers and thanks for watching!

I was there!! Crowd lost it when they played " I Casey blood"
Peak Cannibal Corpse here. And no ‘mic cupping’. Barnes was the real deal.
Mic cupping doesn't do much. It's just a myth... It's a bad habit more than anything and doesn't improve the vocals in any way. Just muffles a bit maybe 😂
@@graveyardclassics The muffling is half the reason his older live tomb vocals and whatnot sounded so brutal. That said, i hate mic cupping. Not something i'd ever do.
@@graveyardclassics Very true mate, cupping only adds a ton of feedback (if you are doing live) and EQ.wise just adds a lot of unwanted mids and resonances which doesnt improve the vocals in any way.
man I always wished I had hair like Chris back then.
I can’t be the only one that thinks the audio on this is really really good and fitting
cheers bloodgoat! thanks man!
Gotta love Chirs Barnes!! My favourite DM vocalist and the inspiration for me to try and do DM vocals.
Exactly
I hear you. I was devastated when he left in 95 until I heard Vile and knew it was all good. Chris has turned out to be the grumpy old man now complaining about all the young bands and how death metal sucks now. Only thing that sucked was the last SFU album.
@@Rob78169i am not old and yeah he is right, most of the new death metal bands suck. No substance, no catchy riffs, throw bunch of sweeps and a production sound that makes you puke from the ear.
I don't like sfu much except some songs and i don't like his f'd up voice now but he is right.
it was not all good tbh. I still have yet to year a CG CC song that makes me feel good like the Chris Barnes era
@@khalez1471Completely agree even as a person born in the late 2000s. 80s and 90s Death Metal is waaaaaaaayyy better than the modern shit. Also the first 3 SFU albums and Undead from 2012 are actually good
Great concert 🤘🏻
Man that looks like fun. What a great time to be alive and young.
cheers! thanks for watching!
This is legendary level footage. Can’t thank you enough. I’m quite surprised that on the tour for The Bleeding they left The Pick-Axe Murders off the list though.
Went to this show...made the drive down from Eugene. If I remember correctly, Sinister was on this tour as well. Imagine warming up to see CC w/Barnes by watching Sinister rip. The 90's was such a magical time for death metal.
Yes it was sinister..and cynic on this tour here in tampa
$11.99... In 94.. Would be about $25 in todays money. Their newest album is only $14 now. Cost of manufacturer? Decreased sells leading to decreased prices? I mean I guess it did cost like 60K to record an album back then.
Thank you so much for this! The Bleeding was my introduction into the Cannibal Corpse world!
What an album to be Introduced to them. Imo the best writing of songs on that album. It almost had hook to some of the songs. My favorite album. The recording is not my favorite but the songs are so original and unique, the structure, etc. She was asking for it....bad ass
I'm with you on that one. I was a teenager in 1994 buying this on cassette tape. That was my introduction to cannibal corpse as well. I seen the video on headbangers ball. That next week I bought the album. I was hooked from there. 🤘
Thank you for sharing this truly jewel of Classic Death Metal, golden era
High parts in stripped raped and strangled were so on point. Sounds better than the album.
dude! awesome footage thank you for sharing it!
cheers! thnx for watching!
Gracias por este video carnal

I like how you included the “full enchilada.” Great video, great channel 🤘🏻👍🏻

The golden age of Death Metal
Time machine!

surprising Soundgarden at the end :)
The Real Cannibal Corpse
1:33:40 the EEEEEEE was born
I was the one asking Alex about Immolation.
wow for 1994 is the best sound can i listen.
this is insane
the absolute best bootleg i have ever seen with the band
did you film with two cameras yourself?
or did you get another copy later?
how did this edit come about?
thank you! yeah it came out pretty good, huh?! me and my buddy dan shot the 2 angles. i finally put it together many years later, with the 2 master tapes.
@@JesseDavis95688 that is some unusual dedication for that time in history to do that
And now you released this cut that fans cant thank you enough for
Atleast not me
Huge thanx 🫡
right on, thanks man. yeah i saw cannibal corpse in 91 at the omni on a small package tour with some other killer death metal bands and i thought they fucking ruled. and stole the show. ive been a huge fan ever since. the first time i shot them was when my buddies band abiosis opened for them at the stone in 93. thats on the channel, too if you wanna check that out. theres a clip of it in their documentary centuries of torment. actually.. theres a bunch of clips of my stuff that ive shot over the years in the doc.
yeah i have yet to release all of the old cannibal stuff. theres a lot of it too.
@@JesseDavis95688 Upload the old stuff maaan the world needs to see it

does anyone know what guitar model Rob was using during this show?
i think charvel don’t know what specific model tho if i had to guess the 475

Love all the people singing along to stripped, raped, and strangled. Barnes would go on to absolutely kill it on what would've been CCs 5th album (Created to Kill Demo). Barnes was essential to the sound of the band.
is the Pat chris mentions at 16:45 Pat Ranieri from hellwitch?
i believe so. and i did end up trading with pat a couple times in the late 90's and early 2000's
Where is jim carrey?
Crate baby! Good dependable guitar gear that didn’t Strip, Rape, and Strangle your wallet! We used to play Stripped Raped and Strangled as our 1 cover song at our shows but nothing beats hearing the masters play it.
was this before or after ace ventura i know movie came out in 1994 unless they shot some of it in 1993
After
Do you have a copy of the VHS tape that you recorded? I would love to purchase one.
nah, i dont sell videos. thanx for your interest.
Why isn't Rob at the table signing??????
he was sleeping at the hotel!
Ну и что тут особенного ?!
you can tell Chris and Jack were much more the creative leads at this time, Alex couldnt stand this so he slowly got rid of Chris and Jack, so he can be the leading man in the band, pritty sad how alex' ego ruined CC
Off base information and incorrect. Alex has been a key songwriter since the first ass album. You’d know that if you’d research. Chris was let go because of his own ego, Jack left on his own..literally 10 years after due to disinterest. Alex is the core of the band yah goof.
Lol....no.
I love Chris Barnes era Cannibal Corpse, but if you listen to the Created To Kill demo, you would understand why he got kicked out. He went into Six Feet Under mode, and no longer fit CC's music. His voice/lyrics peaked with Tomb, and then he just wanted to be a rock star. You could really see it start with The Bleeding. Alex is responsible for some of their best music writing, and he is responsible for their signature sound. He didn't want them to sound like SFU with Chris in the band. SFU has been a meme since it's inception. Jack was great pre-Vile, but his music writing was some of the worst after that. Chris and Jack were both burned out on pot post '94, and Jack stayed way longer than he should have. Now they're both in SFU 😂
