HM Prison Wormwood Scrubs (nicknamed "The Scrubs") is a Category B men's local prison, located opposite Hammersmith Hospital and W12 Conferences on Du Cane Road in the White City in West London, England. The prison is operated by His Majesty's Prison Service
That young officer is a shining example of how it is done! They are a response team and plain clothes ,he is refreshingly decent and protecting prisoners due to the influx of spice and heroin into prisons. I commend these officers and you know going near a prison with cameras and drones etc is stupid.
@Tracy why? A drone had just been sent up right next to a prison. The pilot was still nearby and not leaving so could send it up again. Perfectly reasonable in the context. Unless you just like complaining.
It isnt just stupid. It's being done deliberately to push right up to the boundaries to get a reaction . It's like being in a school yard with 5 year olds

When the police fail to address crime, it’s down to the public as a collective to prevent and combat crime, including and not limited to arresting police, council, court, and security staff for there crimes🙃

The cops are bad when they arrest us for flying our own flag etc, or everything Tommy Robinson related, but I don't have a great issue with them stopping ppl near secure sites - not a hill to die on.
Questions that need to be answered:
*they went straight to detain you, no questioning no resonable grounds to suspect
*Flying a drone isn't reasonable grounds to suspect. You were flying outside the boundary of the prison
*Handcuffs are a use of force. Was the force used proportionate to the force offered - the handcuffs were out before they'd even spoke to you, how is that resonable force?
*Was that a female officer searching northern audits (male). Was a male officer offered
Sofalawyer! Straight to detain you as he drove a drone above the prison lol you can't do it how they gonna know who the cameraman is, he might run away.. educated people everywhere
They can just stop you in the street with no PC and search you? How absurd. Here in the USA they'd be sued for a 4th amendment violation.

@@Andrew-cg3bh you can fly a drone anywhere that the CAA hasn't restricted so if there isn't a NFZ your allowed to fly just not allowed to fly over a prison. I don't think it's worth the risk flying near a prison just incase the wind blows it over the prison grounds

Kev, I cant understand why you wasn't even asked what you were doing before being presumed guilty and handcuffed and searched straight away, all because of "concerns" by the prison staff, no drugs seen no law breaking witnessed, no nothing, just concerns 😒

I’d usually say the same but can see why they searched for drugs under the circumstances and did it in a respectful way. Credit where it’s due
Respectful or not... there was no need to approach people like a horde of wild animals as if there were highly criminals or murderers to be caught here. Since the handcuffs were put on immediately, the respectful interaction destroyed itself. Since they agreed to a search, the whole thing could actually have been carried out respectfully and without 30 bloodhounds (exaggeratedly expressed). If you now think that this was only done according to protocol, you should be told that the protocol also states that every action/search is to be kept to a minimum and must be adapted to the circumstances if necessary (in this video there were an unnecessary number of cops in action at the same time).
However, it is also a fact that flying a drone in the area of a prison may be legal in some ways... but you don't have to be surprised when it happens, as happened in this video. I know auditors have their own motivations, but in this case it was just pointless, unnecessary, and just a waste of time. Here the cops had the law on their side, which in turn means that the thing with auditors and their drone almost leads to a useless action. Prisons and airports should be considered off-limits to auditors in an honorable way. There are plenty of other places to point out yourself and your rights. Rights are granted by the law, but respect has to be earned. In this case, respect has not been earned. That should give us pause for thought

It is an unlawful search if the police ask for your consent to search you. If you've been asked to consent to a search by the police, you can refuse to allow the search to take place and make a complaint about the police officer(s) involved. See Complaints and legal action against the police.

Hey Guys! I use to be a former Inmate from "003 till 2005. I use to work on Segregation Unit for a long Time. As a Foreigner it was not Easy to me to Cope with the Situation ( even though I served already 10 Year prior in German Prisons) but they changed my Life for Good! I even remember ( in a very positiv Way) some of the Names of the Stuff from the Seg. Shouts go out!!!!

This audit I did not appreciate. No metter how polite an officer is, how can they just walk up to a citizen, handcuff them, do a search and then ask questions after the fact?. I might be from the U.S. and ignorant to the U.K. laws but it appeared like every U.K. citizen should expect this to happen to anyone in public without batting an eyelid.
