8 weeks is pretty young tho, its the minimum age yeah but most responsible breeders will wait until atleast 12 cuz they need that time to learn many essential skills from their mamas

It happens very offen, I’ve seen on CZcams, especially with ragdolls. Our breeder is crazy about keeping the kittens until 16 weeks, we also wanted this b3cause they need this. Also having only one Ragdoll is basically abuse for this cat - I just wish people were more aware about the fact that they may be social cats but humans aren’t cats. Makes me sad honestly, when I see how many on CZcams live alone.
Hello! If Maggie isn’t drinking from her water bowl, try moving the water away from the food. Cats are really funny about contamination and sometimes will drink more when the water isn’t near the food :)

Hopefully getting a ragdoll in the summer☺️, a great brand of food I feed my chihuahua is Lily’s kitchen, it’s a little pricier than some other brands, but it has a high meat content, and they have a cat/kitten line. Another thing you can get for cat’s to entice them to drink water is a cat fountain, my parents cat’s only drank water from a dripping tap but now they have a cat fountain they drink a lot more. Maggie is super cute 😸

Hi! Any advice on someone considering getting a rag doll kitten as their very first pet? Omg they are so beautiful and they seem to be more easily held and comfortable in someone arms rather than a differnt cat, at least that’s what I hear
Don't give kittens Felix, it's rubbish and only has 4% meat protein in it. A kitten needs a high protein quality food to help strengthen bones and build up immunity. Imagine giving a ragdoll cat that muck
She is sooo cute aww I love little kittens and all the cats 🥰 I would recommend you to feed her a bit better quality food for example instead of Iams go for applaws dry food it’s got 80% meat and cats are carnivores so that’s really good and you can buy it in Pets at Home also their wet food is great because some of the cheaper cat food brands have like 5% meat check on yours but it’s not very good since cats should eat a full meat diet☺️
So cute , ragdoll are indoor cat , you can train him to wear harness n take him out ... they are having sensitive tummy be careful what u give her ,try to keep what the breeder feeds , good luck
Yep very good information, there also funny about kitty litter, seeing as they have really fluffy fur they don’t like normal kitty litter cuz it gets stuck in their fur
Ye, my ragdolls fur isn’t as fluffy cuz he isn’t full ragdoll he’s a bit British blue, but I did read about that and i got him wood pellet, thanks tho! :)
I also kept him on breeders food but i am slowly trying to take him off the food the breeders were feeding him cuz it was expensive, but he eats the food I started feeding him fine, it’s the same as my other cats but he has kitten, he can’t eat dry food either cuz it makes him go sick so I don’t give him that but I give him a few treats a day
Yes we did gradually due to lockdown we were able to be at home a lot, she has adjusted and gets excited when we come home! It was hard to leave her at first but we did half an hour, 1 hour, a few hours away etc until we went back to work and she’s just fine!

Most breeders are happy to let kittens go at 8 weeks and leave the forever homes to take care of vaccinations etc, she was already weaned on to food, litter tray trained and didn’t rely on her mum anymore so she ticked all the boxes to leave ☺️
I just got my kitten and I'm glad we waited till she got 12 weeks. When she was at the breeder she got and alergic reaction from the dewormer. I'm glad the breeder took care of it. With an registered breeder you also get a contract and if somethings wrong I can go to the breeder within a year. And the kittens need to have a vet appoval before the kittens can go to their new home. When I got here home, I went to my own vet just for dubbel check and get her in the system.
@@daisymichellelewis its also about letting the cat be a other their own to learn how to be a cat, so many simply aren’t ready at that point mentally and it’s hard for the untrained eye to notice, we have bred cats for 15 years and a 8 week old is very much just a baby
I’m glad your kitten is better now that can’t have been nice to hear! Ours went to the vet when she was with the breeder and we just took her again ourselves on Friday for her first vaccinations and an extra health check and the vet has said she’s in perfect health which is great news! I think you’re definitely right about taking them when you get them anyway so your local vet can register them and check them over 😊
