I'm curious, why you would do a cash condensing before your cash reimbursement? It seems like you would need to make change if you did condensing first

City girl question: how much does a half a cow and half a pig usually cost? 😂
I am wondering the same thing😂
Of course it is going to depend on where you live but in my area, it is usually around $1100 - $1200 for half a beef (and that is buying from a friend). If you want specialty meats added (such as jerky, pepperoni sticks, etc.) it would be a couple hundred dollars + additional. For half a pig I’ve seen anywhere from $500 - $700. Both of those include the purchase of the meat and the services provided by the butcher (slaughter, cutting and wrapping of the meat).
If you go to a 4H sale, the cow can go for upwards of $6,000 (however all the money goes back to the kiddos which is awesome and shows them that hard work pays off).
